Hey everyone! Yeah a holiday weekend no work tomorrow. We are not doing to much for the fourth. Going to do a little shopping and start packing for this trip.

Lissa

Thanks! Trying to relax actually. We are now in one place for 2 weeks. Of course, my dad thinks that if we are just sitting in the house that we are bored so he is trying to book something every day.

I NEED SLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!:wizard:

But it was great to see my Grandma in Colorado. We went trout fishing in the mountains and spent some time with family we haven't seen in over 3 years. Now, we are adjusting to the South TX humidity. Heat I can handle - humidity - ICK!:scared:

I guess it's 11am, so I should probably get out of PJs???? :confused3 The first day we're here and Dad and DH decide to tee off at 7:30 and Grandma heads out to the dr. Hmmmmm..... What happened to my R&R???? :sad1: So far DD2 has attempted to drink the lavendar scented room freshener, smeared cheese (yes we are all recovering from our deprivation from the past three years!) on the wall, attempted to play with a light socket, pushed buttons on some electronic thingy Grandpa has set up in the sun room, and that's just what I caught her doing.... :scared1::scared1: Welcome to the unbabyproofed world of Grandma and Grandpa's!!!!!!

Laundry... :laundy: Wait - who likes to do laundry??? Anywhere near San Antonio by any chance??? I've got 5 suitcases worth!!!! :thumbsup2

I think Bob will do it (Lucy's DH):laundy::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:jkjkjk

How's the weather for everyone this 4th? These past few days in MI it has been chilly and rainy. Today I don't even think it will get past 68 degrees! Saturday it will be maybe in the upper 70's! This isn't summer.....

Really nice.....low 80s and sunny.......we're having a huge bbq on the beach....our biggest issue will be the crowds so we plan to get there early and put up a big tent..........wish me luck that everything works out........my DD22 is inviting the whole East Coast....................:confused3

OK... looks like more pages than I have time to read... once again been super busy so heres a quick recap of the last couple weeks:

WARNING: depressing content

-Went 'mountain biking' weekend before last
-Dislocated my shoulder later that day while swimming. (lots of pain and choice words)
-Went SCUBA diving the next Thursday (horrible visibility and pretty disappointing but good to get back in the water)
-This past weekend was two full 8 hour days of Search and Rescue training learning how to fill out paperwork.
-Had an all hands meeting at work to find out that there are layoffs coming up in October and sounds like its not good to be the 'new guy' in the group
-Went to the doctor that afternoon all bummed out to fill out 45 minutes worth of paperwork, got an xray, and saw the doctor just long enough to say "hmm, your shoulder is a little sloppy, theres a lot of play in there that shouldnt be, I'd like to get you an MRI"
-Today the MRI people called me and called it something else... I asked what the difference was and they said the difference is for the shoulder specific one they have to inject stuff directly into the joint...

Quick recap: lots of pain, might lose my job, doctor told me my shoulder is messed up, now I get to look forward to getting stabbed in the shoulder and stuffed in a little tube... and who knows what that will reveal or how much it will cost... Better get it all taken care of while I still have a job with decent insurance.

:guilty:

On the lighter side, I got to go SCUBA diving and I'll be heading home for a 3 day weekend in a little over 2 hours. Trying to stay positive but boy do I need a vacation...

Thx for the warning.............so sorry about all the trouble......I love your WD quote..........when I was seeking employment and meeting one brick wall after another...........a trip to WDW would rejuvenate me and give me hope and it did eventually work out (after about 5-10 years)..........so :wizard: is coming your way............you have a great cruise coming up in just 2 weeks.............you will have a blast meet great new friends........and RELAX!!!:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Re: bugs in Tortola

I just purchased a large box of off towelettes. They are flat and should pack well - figured I could just put a bunch of them in my bag when we go ashore.
I found them in the camping section of Walmart.

Was in Target getting a few things for the FE gifts that we could not order. The look on the cashiers face was priceless. she was like do y'all own a camp or something. We got the same thing in wal-mart we just told them we were meeting lots of friends on vacation. 11 more days only 6 of them work days :cool1:

Excuse ME!:furious::furious:
but I believe The williams family live on the east coast and there was NO invite extended to us.....Tray-Tray is no longer one of my favorites!:sad2::sad::hug:

My paint job was a mess (though the hidden Mickey was still pretty awesome), so it got a new coat, today. I'm starting to fall behind on this whole laundry thing...

You have to be a recent graduate from college........or, I'd rather not say on a public forum...............:rotfl:

I'll make a deal with 'ya - you paint the entire inside of our house, and I'll do all your laundry - quite a commute though.:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Okay - so someone put my mind at ease...DD2 is a climber. She climbs absolutely EVERYTHING! Tonight she climbed the bar where my Dad was making dinner drinks!!!:scared1:

We've never had a verandah and I never thought about getting one due to the price. But with our recent upgrade - we now have one! I need someone to reassure me that the verandah is not accessible to a clever 2.5 year old who loves to climb!!! :sad2:

She'll never get the door open - it is very tough to do - impossible if it's locked.....

That's my desperation mocha while on vacation or when DH is traveling. I'm spoiled, he roasts his own beans and has an expresso machine. I've never learned how to operate it but, I do get my mocha every morning.

Yes that is a desperation mocha indeed and as i remember the moshas on the cruise weren't the best but I would never complain at the time cause I was just happy to have something close! We don't roast beans but my DH makes me a mocha everyday with our espresso machine before going to work and....i don't know how to use it and don't want to learn!!! I love being waited on. I prefer my ignorance with that contraption!!

See you in the morning at the bar by the adult pool!!

Nope, you won't see me - I get it delivered bedside; Further proof, I am spoiled! ;) I'd say He's well trained - but, he's still lurking and has this habit of popping out at various times. Usually after I say something that might get me in trouble...

I'm so sorry. I have had my shoulder injected so the pain to go away. The injection itself hurt, but the relief I had was wonderful.

Aren't you the lucky girl!!! I have to go to Starbucks for mine. DH is not a coffee person and does not understand the importance of the morning coffee. But he does have to have is Diet Pepsi

I'll take some of your weather. Right now its 58 degrees and rain!!! Weather man says its suppose to warm up a little. Good luck with the bbq. If I was in your neck of the woods I'd stop by and say that I just graduated from college!

I had my cake decorating class tonight. I decorated it for the 4th. Not too bad. But I should have taken this class after the cruise, now we have lots of cake to eat each week!
