Our rate was 67 Euros for $100. Our AAA didn't actually have them there they had to order them. It took two days to get them and if you didn't order over 500 shipping cost. I don't know if that is true at every AAA.

Today we went and picked up our Euro's from AAA. They look like monopoly money. Also finished getting all prescriptions filled and have even gotten prescriptions for a backup plan in case my insulin pump fails or something else goes wrong. I thought you had to travel with all pills in their bottles. Do you not have to? All my bills are paid except for car payment. If it doesn't come soon I'm just going to mail it to GMCA without the statement. We also usually wait till the night before to start packing. Not doing that this time. Starting tomorrow with non clothing items. Can't believe the cruise is almost here.

I called TSA and they said as long as we have the copies of the mail order forms for all prescriptions they are fine in the little travel cases instead of original bottles. Ours are all pills, no liquids.

Anybody heard any reviews of La Cinta Beach?

10 days till we leave for Barcelona... I think I am possessed by this trip, now that I'm off for the summer, I can focus on nothing else..

We are booked for La Cinta Beach - I've read 2 reviews from prev posters & both said it was gorgeous! My only concern is that these reviews were from 11 day people- so they weren't there on Sundays & I hope that the beach bar will be open on Sunday since they have the only restrooms on the beach (plus the food!).

I'm watching!!!!! The show is adding to my excitement, I am obsessed as well. My family is poking a lot of fun at me. My dh is actually watching the show and is getting excited too, I don't think he'd admit it though.

We got all our formal clothes packed for the four of us. I thought I was packing light but oh my gosh it took two hanging bags for our dress clothes. How many bags do you think you all are taking?

The show got me in the mood! Ok, I'm ready to sail! lol I am planning on taking one massive suit case (although it is big it is heavy w/o anything in it), one smaller suit case to also check, and a carryon duffle-style bag. My ultimate goal is to leave plenty of room in each bag for goodies I'll be wanting to take home with me. When I start packing and weighing on the scale I might change my tune about having "plenty of room" left over!

...and having done the maths it works out that I got the equivelent of US$1 = (euro) 1.36

My DH and DS wanted me to ask if anyone knows wether or not my son's (portable) video game THING will plug into the TV in the stateroom. I'm embrassed to even ask, because I do not want RJ to even bring it. Remember the old days when we only had 3 channels to watch on TV.

Susan - I don't know for sure, but I am thinking not.

FWIW, I'm allowing my children to bring their Nintendo DS's because of the long trip over and back, and I will let them use them during the cruise as well - in fact, I'm definitely going to let them bring them to the "Meet" on Wednesday as that way I can enjoy meeting all of you and they can sit on the side with their heads buried in their game -- but also because I find that the hand-held video games are GREAT ice-breakers for children to get acquainted over. My boys are drawn to any other child with their head-in-a-game and they often have that same experience when they have their games with them. It's a common language for children And with them occupied, I don't have the "when can we go?"'s from them which makes me able to enjoy my time with other grown-ups!

Oh - I do have a rule about using their DS's in public - the sound has to be OFF - completely OFF, not just "low" because I don't like to hear it. If they want sound on in the car and at home, fine, but if I agree to let them take it in somewhere public (like a restaurant or someplace we'll have a long wait), then sound is OFF and if I hear it, game goes to Mom So far we've had no violations in the many years that they've had the games.

That said, I won't have the boys taking their DS's around the ship - just to the meet on Wednesday if they want to bring it - and then it stays in the room. I'm not even planning to have them bring them for bus-rides on excursions because I would rather them SEE where we are than have it whiz by with their heads bent over. Plus I would be the one who ends up carrying them and it ain't gonna happen!
