Well, I finally took care of ordering our Euros tonight, so we should get them by Wednesday. I couldn't figure out how much to order, so I kept going back and forth about it, so now I'm glad it's settled. One more thing off my list of things to do.
I'm still debating about doing a door sign - I want to do one but haven't had a chance to do much more than look through the thread about them for some ideas. And then I saw the whole fish-extender thread and wished I'd seen it two months ago and we could've done that, too. Oh well.
Have a great night.
Aw....the fish extender. Need to pack that too. The history of the fish extender for those that don't know........Once upon a time, there were these "fish" that were outside our stateroom doors and generally they very rarely got mail put into them. Only once in a while did you get a note from
DCL or DVC telling you where to be and when. So, meanwhile, back on the farm, (or so they say), a fellow disboarder, Epcotkilterfan, was preparing for a journey of a lifetime on the May, 2005, Westbound Panama Canal cruise. This crazy thing started on that thread about exchanging small gifts/trinkets at sailaway. Well, in between her time keeping busy at the American Red Cross, Epcotkilterfan (Debbie) had some spare time and stopped in her local dollar store and calling out from the back of the store were the 1st "official" fish extenders. She bought them all and gave them to her fellow disboarders as her sailaway gift. We went to our stateroom, and hanging there on that lonely fish was the "Fish Extender" with five pockets with Mickey waving at us. Thus the birth of the fish extender was created. My original one from Debbie is lime green. Since then, the fish extender has evolved into a "cult" following. We have had fish extender contests on our 9-18-06 Wonder 11 nights in Paradise Cruise, and they continued with the EB TransAtlantic. Each cruise, new cruisers join the "cult" and have a fish extender hanging from their fish outside their stateroom.
And let me tell you, these are no simple extenders. There are many variations from the original that has five pockets and is about 6 inches across. I have seen them as wide as 12 inches, with a pocket for each family member in the stateroom. If you have time, you should join the "fish extender cult".
Okay, here I am typing and I have so much to do!
