I'm really psyched for the jumping back into eternal Rome tour. I just bought some new sneakers for the adventure!

I, too, mention the cruise quite often at work. I finagle it into my lessons when I can, and I think the teenagers think I'm nuts sometimes. But hey, a Disney reference is totally applicable to the Odyssey!

Hello Everybody

For anyone who is bringing the laptop

Here is the information from DCL as I got it from my friend who is going on 16th June 07.

(We are pleased to announce that Guests who bring their wireless ready
laptop will be able to utilize our wireless Internet access onboard and
get connected!

The wireless Internet and Internet Cafe are interchangeable. For
example, Guests who purchase a block of minutes for the wireless system
can use those minutes on an Internet Cafe desktop computer and visa
versa.

Wireless Internet access is being expanded throughout the ship,
including Guest staterooms. The pricing plan is as follows:

$.75 per minute pay as you go
$55 for 100 minute plan ($.55 per minute)
$100 for 250 minute plan ($.40 per minute)
$150 for 500 minute plan ($.30 per minute)

Pricing subject to change without notice.

Currently on the wireless plan you may surf the Internet, send/receive
email, download/upload files, print and open/send attachments. Guests
will also have free access to disneycruise.com.

Okay I am so excited just got off of DCL's website was checking for Palo reservations. Nothing for three oh well I'll keep checking. So I decided to check about Shore excursions. WOO-HOOOO! the tour we wanted to do in Rome si open they had room for three on the Jumping back into Eternal Rome tour. I am very excited because it was the one tour we really wanted and were disappointed when we did not get it. Just goes to show keep checking and maybe it will show up. Oh they are also now offering pod cast and some other things throough i-tunes. They even had downloads for teens and kids and most was free.

Great to hear you got the Jumping Back to Eternal Rome tour, we are doing that one too, it sounds fabulous.. I think there are a number of us from this thread going so it should be even better.

I have just been checking the DCL site for openings for Palermo for Kids excursion as our Chocolate Factory excursion has been cancelled (nothing yet, but I will keep trying) but I did notice there was a space a Palo on Day 6 Civitavecchia at 18.00 to 20.00 but that was for a party of 2 so I don;t know if it maybe worth another try.

Where are the podcasts and downloads for teens and kids available from? Sorry if this is a silly question!!!!!

Another day gone so only 62 days till the MAGIC starts.

The link to the podcast and whatnots is located of the med port page. It is tha page that list all the ports of call. It is on the left hand side of the page toward the bottom. We plan on taking my laptop with us. It is the oldest and if it gets lost or broken no biggie. Not sure how much we will use it if any but at least we will have it if we want it.

When I try to access the downloads it says it is not yet available in UK store, Oh well no great loss.

I have just asked my DD if she wants to bring our laptop with us and she thinks it would be a great idea as she will be able to stay in touch with all her friends back home and make them all jealous of her wonderful trip. She has just passed a very difficult test at school today , coming 2nd in her class, so I have said the internet access onboard can be her treat for passing as it is quite expensive from what i have read on other posts.

I know what you mean about trying to bring our trip into conversation everyday at work. When I talk about it now everyone just laughs, I think they have still to be touched by the Disney Magic .

We are also trying to plan a quick WDW trip for the first of June. My brother is so worn out from school that he needs to get away for a little bit. Only 60 more days to go!

New house, quick to WDW trip in June then Disney Magic Cruise in July sound great!!!

Hi everyone!

Does the Magic leave tomorrow for the mediterranean? I think it is tomorrow.

I just found out that I know someone going on the first cruise out of Barcelona on May 26. She is going to try to save the navigators for me. If she does, I can report the big changes and parties to you all!

We are so busy this month, I actually feel like I could start packing tomorrow. We leave on July 6 for Europe, so it is right around the corner.

Thanks for that I have just been on the DCL site and booked Palermo for Kids as I have been trying to book that for a few weeks now. I had to take the afternoon trip as that was all that was available but would have prefered the morning trip so I have booked it but may cancel before we sail.

While on the DCL site I noticed that the Lucca Treasure Hunt excurion at La Spezia was missing from my activities list and I hadn't made any changes so I phoned DCL and was advised that they have cancelled this excursion. Iam really annoyed with DCL as this is the 2nd trip which they have cancelled (the chocolate museum & Lucca treasure hunt) and now I cannot get my other choice for La Spezia as it is showing no reservations. I think I will be checking my reservation regularly until we sail because who knows what else they will change.

I was getting sooooo excited about our trip but this has just stopped that dead, I am now strarting to think what else will go wrong . Hopefully this is just a blip and the excitment will start to build again soon.

The Magic set sail for the Med last Saturday the 12th, I believe they will reach Tenerife tomorrow.

It would be great if you could get the Navigators from your friend as i am sure we would all love to hear what lies in store for us.

Wilmington is a good distance from where we are. It is on the opposite side of the state near the coast. They are having great weather while winter decided to give us a visit again. Somebody forgot to inform them that it is May and supposed to be warm.
Went shopping for cruise clothes today with my mom. I actually bought several dresses which shocked her as I don't even wear dresses to church. If I did not have other things keeping me busy I think I would be very tempted to pack even though it is way to early.
