Lissa mentioned flying from Atlanta to Barcelona. We'll be leaving from Atlanta as well. Are you doing your own flights or through DCL? We're doing ours through DCL and will leave on Monday the 16th and we'll spend the night on Tuesday at the Atenea Mar Hotel.

It would be cool if we were on the same flight from ATL to BCN. Once we get our flight info, let's see if we are and then we can at least "meet and greet" at the airport before going on that really really long flight!

Anyone else leaving from Atlanta?

We were not able to do our flight through DCL. We are leaving on the 16th and spending Tuesday night at the Grand Marina hotel. It would be great if we could meet before the long flight.

As the date of the trip gets closer I'm getting a little nervous about the flight and getting sick on the ship. The flight from here to WDW is a little over an hour and if i don't take a dramamine I'm miserable. I plan on taking a dose for the flight from Atlanta to Barcelona but really do not want to have to take one everday of the trip(the make me really sleepy). Can you feel the ship once it is moving? What do you do on a ten hour flight? I do good to sit for an hour. Hope everyone is well.

On our last cruise i did not suffer from seasickness at all but my DD felt it a little. We purchased the sea sickness wrist bands on board and she wore them the rest of the cruise and felt fine for the rest of the time (they do not look good though)

I have never had a problem on the transatlantic flight from London to Orlando (8 or so hours) sometimes I get a little sleep and other times not. There are normally a few movies, tv channels and radio channels and I always take a book and some magazines, it is ok to get up and walk up the ailse to stretch your legs every so often no one minds. It will be great for us this time as our flight will only be 2 and a bit hours instead of the usual 1 hour to london and then 8 hours to orlando, so we will be making the most of this cruise.

We are arriving in Barcelona 3 days before and we are also staying at the Grand Marina Hotel.

Hello All,
I just received confirmation for my private excursion by limousine for our Rome stop. I had sent them the "jumping back to eternal Rome" tour description and asked what kind of price they could give me to duplicate something similar. The reason I am posting this is because the price is very good for just my DH and myself, but even better if another 2 people would like to join us. It will include limo pick-up at the pier by the owner of the company, commentary about the Etruscan countryside as we make our way to Rome, an itinerary similar to "jumping back" but with the ability for the limo to take us places in Rome that motorcoaches aren't able to go. Lunch would be at our cost as would the entrance fee to the Vatican. Of course with a private excursion such as this, I believe a gratuity is in order as well. The daylong excursion will conclude by being returned to the ship in plenty of time for dinner.

If interested, the cost if there are 4 of us that share it will only be 100 Euro per person. Please email me privately if interested (assuming you have a way of getting my PM). This company was highly recommended to me by a friend that used them last Spring. Looking forward to sharing this experience with a fellow Disney fan.

Hi all,
Hope everybody is doing well. We are getting more excited about the trip as the days get closer. Already planning on staying up until I book everything early friday morning and then going to bed. Summer has come early here and being the genuis that I am I thought I would hit the pool and get a jump start on my tan. As it is only the first of May this is really unusual here and since it was so early I thought I would be ok with out sunblock. Well now I look like a tomatoe with hair and am just a tad bit miserable. Just wanted to remind everybody to use sunblock.

It is unusually warm here, too! They were trying to get the air conditioning going at work so it was extremely hot there all day long. It reminded me that summer is coming and so is our trip! As kids were coming in to class they were talking about the impending break and asked if I am doing anything. Needless to say I mentioned the trip and they went wild! I told them their time off will be "magical," too, even if they aren't coming with me haha.

Hi All-

Please excuse me, but I am a pediatrician and cannot help but suggest medical treatments whenever I get a chance . I did not have a problem on the last cruise I was on, however we did take the wristbands and meclezine (over the counter less sedating than dramamine) with us. They will also have meclezine free on the boat as I remember. I found that keeping tummy full helps !

Melatonin seems to be a great alternative for sleep and is natural. Kids take 1 mg sublingual tablet 15-30min before sleep, adults 1-2 1 mg tablets. I plan to try it since I don't sleep well on planes. It does not make you drowsy in the morning

NZDisney- sounds like we're in the same hotel. Wonder how many others are staying in the Atenea Mar on Tuesday night. Our kids are the same age, perhaps we can introduce ourselves there somewhere.

I am fine and cannot believe it is May!! The weather was warm and lovely sunshine , it normal cold and windy but change to sunshine

Oh yes, I must bring the sunblock for my kids and I think it will be hot in July.

Received a DVD in the mail today from Disney Cruise Vacations. Video for parents, video for kids and "few of the details you need to know." Can't wait to watch it.

Guess everybody will be getting one who has booked.

Going to the other "Adult Disneyland" on May 12 for one week. Then just 2 months till the cruise.

That's a great video - definitely fun to watch. We watched all three sections together as a family - the kid-part was funny and the what you need to know part had us dying laughing - but definitely reminded us of a few things

Good luck with excursions tonight everyone!

My only advice is to get on the internet this evening and do a run through on the Disney website. Make sure that you remember your username, password and confirmation number. Also ensure that the only choices left on your wish list are the final choices for excrusions.

Everything else runs very smoothly.

Anyone else staying at the Aetenea Mar hotel with Cindy's family and mine?

I logged into the Disney website and its saying this:

Sorry, you cannot make Shore Excursion reservations at this time. Our records indicate that you have either not paid for your cruise vacation in full or have not provided complete birthdate information for each member of your travel party. If a payment is still due, please apply payment now online or contact your travel agent.

To update birthdate information, you must first call a Disney Cruise Line representative at (800) 951-3532 or your travel agent to update your reservation information. In either case, please return to the My Disney Cruise section of disneycruise.com afterwards to continue making your cruise vacation plans online.



I checked with our TA yesterday and we are all set to go having paid it off months ago. Disney also have our birthdate details, I guess this simply means that 75 day bookings haven't opened yet? It panicked me at first...

Thankfully, it appears that it's not just me- the bookings site has just gone down, it won't retrieve reservations at the moment. I took them a while to realise that something was up though... All I can do is sit and wait
