We lived in there from 1985-1991. We were up behind Saugus High off of Bouquet Canyon. My husband was the VP of Retail at Magic Mountain, then in 1991 we relocated to St. Louis for Six Flags St. Louis.......... I miss living there soooooooo much!

Good ole Saugus!! I lived in Valencia right off Wiley and Lyons but we moved to riverside for my husband job and I'd give anything to go back to SCV lol its so funny people can't wait to get out of there and then once they leave they want to come back

So much has changed since then! I've been here since 1998 and this valley has grown like crazy. It's insane how many houses went up in the last 15 years!

Book from DCL that has your luggage tags, pre cruise information, phone number if someone needs to get a hold of you, etc. we have two cabins and only received one of our books and normally the book comes within 30 days of sailing.

Yep.......miss it more and more every day! I love that area of SCV.....beautiful! I get to go back every other year or so to visit friends, and can't believe how it's grown!

We are new to the boards, just joined today. Although I have been reading them religiously for the past month since we signed up for our first Disney Cruise. We are so excited to be on this cruise on July 16th! We are a family of 5 with 2 boys (13 and 10) and 1 girl (7). Can't wait to meet everybody!

Welcome!!! My boys are 10 and almost 15, and my little girl is 3. It's our first cruise too, very exciting!!!

Subject DIS Meet
Got a private message asking about this and seeing many folks hoping their kids could meet, etc. So, DIS Cruise Meets are pretty common on the ships. Normally occur on sail away day around 3:00 which gives folks enough time to meet and then get to the lifeboat drill and then the Sail Away party. So a schedule would look like this:
2:45 / 3:00 - 3:45 DIS Meet up
4:00 - Lifeboat Assembly Drill
4:30 - Sail Away Deck Party

If folks are interested there is nothing we have to do other than pick a place on the ship to meet. A suggestion on where to meet would be the Bon Voyage at the Grand Atrium Deck 3 opposite the guest services desk. Normally plenty of room and folks can either get a tropical beverage (alcohol and non) on the pool deck or grab an adult beverage here.

Note / TIP - Throughout the cruise, If you or the kids want sodas, get these from the self service on the pool decks as you have to pay for sodas at the bars. Regarding the soda self-serv, if you can bring your own cups / containers with a lid / straw so you can get a full soda as the station has small paper cups only.

This will only be our second FE group. Last time I noticed most people put everyone's name on things - To and From. Is this expected? I felt bad that I just left things anonymously.

Since we are under 40 days now I think I will close the official lists. If anyone comes along from here I out we will add to the pixie dust list. This list can exchange with each other if they wish and if anyone else has extras they can give if desired. People need a little time to formally organize so I hope that's good with everyone!

The list of all the FE groups are on the first page of this thread. I know some room numbers aren't updated yet. We are still waiting for our room.
