July 16, 2016 Disney Fantasy, Eastern Caribbean

Our family is going to be going at 900 mph between now and cruise with DW going out to San Diego for 10 days to bug DD and FSIL, I have a 3 day business trip and a week+ trip to Australia, we have a 2 day trip for DS college orientation and DS heads to TSA (technology student association) National Competition for a week.................. Just wanted to give some context as to why we went over our things to bring list yesterday. As such, thought I would pass along a couple of suggestions of what to bring with for some of the newbies..................
  1. Liquid hand soap - DW does not like bar soap and all the "goo" it creates on the sink ......................
  2. Make sure to make photo copies of your passports and take picture on cell phone of passport - just in case.
I always bring liquid soap! So glad I'm not the only one! :earsboy:

We leave a month from today (flying down a couple days earlier). So excited---it's been three years since our last cruise. Just for fun, we created a countdown calendar for the last month which is what we used to do when the kids were little. They are 14, 16, 19 and 22 now. They are loving the calendar though :D. Making fun of us a little but still participating. Getting a bit nostalgic since this will probably be our last family vacation with just the core 6 of us :(

Look at a different way, in the future you could be joined by son and daughter in-laws and perhaps some little ones someday. We are now a 5 of us with FSIL joining on this cruise and WDW at Christmas so we are no longer just the 4 of us any more but looking very forward to that next stage of hopefully enjoying Disney with extended family including grandkids.

I can't imagine what those parents are going through :( Orlando has not been a good place to be of late!!!

On a different note - regarding FE gifts, if you don't get something from the Hogsed family and we're on your list (obviously lol) then you go ahead and message me!! I wanna know if anything goes missing, no awkwardness or worry with simply saying hey you, where's my gift? haha!

Same here, if you do not get anything from Mcintire's let us know. There are some great sites on Pinterest for first time Disney cruisers, I have picked up a lot of tips and some cute ideas for FEs.

Tbzimmer (9062) is doing Sunday and Monday treats for all (young and older) in the Minnie group and Grandparents (9064) are giving treats (young and older) on Wednesday and Thursday, also in the Minnie group. **If you are a member of the Minnie group, we labeled gifts in bags with the gender and age that was listed on the sign up. For Instance: DS15 or DD8 or DH/DW. If we do not put the gifts in the correct pocket of your FE, you will know who we intended to give it to. Please know everyone in every stateroom listed on our sign up sheet will have a gift on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Hopefully this will help when you are expecting your gifts.
It was very fun trying to figure out what to treat people with given the varied ages, etc. We can't wait to see what others thought of!!!!

Sorry, I should have specified the Donald Duck group for the FEs

Good morning and again, thoughts and prayers to all impacted by the tragic events in Orlando the past few days. Especially heavy heart today for the Graves family.
Thought about whether to continue today with my 10 day bucket countdown celebrations and decided that I ain't gonna let the ones that attack this country stop us from living. So, give the significant other and especially the kids an extra hug today and................Only 3 more 10 Day Buckets Until.....................
