July 16, 2016 Disney Fantasy, Eastern Caribbean

Hi everyone! Two weeks from today we will be on the ship!!! How is that possible? So very exciting!!! So I know we talked a little before but what are peoples pre and post cruise plans? When are you arriving and what are you doing? Please check in, I know we have lots of people lurking, I'd love a quick check in from people!

We are flying in Thursday the 14th and staying two nights at art of animation. We will be at magic kingdom friday and then are doing a private transfer to port in the morning saturday. After we will fly home later that same day. I have to work sunday!

We will be checking-in at the Beach Club one week from today! We have 6 park days with park hoppers, so we will be ready for a relaxing cruise! Since we are driving, we'll probably get to the port sometime around noon. We like being able to walk onto the ship and go straight to our cabin to drop off our stuff. I hope that everyone has safe travels to Florida! My plan is to leave the devices at home, so I'll be offline once we leave. :boat:

ALL FISH EXTENDER PARTICIPANTS:
Please double check the main list on page one. I reordered the last two groups to be in order by floor to hopefully make things easier. Please check that I have your cabin number, family details and any allergies correct on the list as well. I know we have some families who signed up for FE some time ago and havent been back posting and I just want to make sure everything is still correct. Could you all take a moment to look and then come back and either post all is good in the thread or simply like this post so I know you have seen things and are good with it all? Thanks much!

A few details... if for some reason DCL changes your cabin number or you upgrade at port, please let other group members know ASAP by either leaving messages on cabin phones or by dropping a note in their fish extenders. I will also print a list of the groups and post it on my door in case someone forgets or if someone has a change they can update the list on our door (7514).

Still looking

We will be flying into MCO Saturday morning and taking the Magical Express to the port. We scheduled our port check-in for 12:45pm. I am nervous about our flight being delayed or cancelled, but we have to have faith that it will not rain in Dallas in July!!!
Everything listed in the Minnie FE group for our two families is correct.
This will be the first cruise for our 8 year old twins, so I am excited and hoping all goes as planned. See ya real soon!!!

Our FE list looks good :thumbsup2 Thanks for doing this!:thanks:

We are flying out on 14th, then take Magic Express to stay at Wilderness Lodge for 2 nights, spend all of the 15th:crazy: at MK, then DH wants to try Uber :teleport: to the port for the best 7 days of the the whole year!!!:cloud9: Now, after the cruise, we typically take the Magic Express back to the airport, but our flight is earlier and they won't take us, so darling DH wants to use Uber again:eek: (we have NEVER used Uber before this trip o_O)
OMG!! I am getting nervous and anxious about FE's and packing. My fish extender isn't done yet from getting embroidered so I can't sew it together, ay caramba!!:sad2: I so need a :drinking1(The FB page for this cruise has organized 2 mixologies, so that should be fun, looking forward to it ::yes::)

I've posted on this forum about using Uber, but no responses......I can only assume no one has used them from port to airport....makes me nervous, but DH says, "It'll be fine" :guilty:

See Y'all Soon!!party:

Somehow this didn't seem to be a response, but what I wrote was a repsonse.

Silly question. I don't drink, but I like bars. Any ladies want to meet at the champaign bar or something one sea day for an hour or so?

My husband doesn't like bars, my son is 20 and my daughter is 17. So sometimes I go by myself and look silly while I sip seltzer water and gaze longingly at groups!

I love hanging in a bar before dinner to listen to music - not sure who will join me this time since I'm traveling sans hubby, plus mom and father in law, so would be glad for company. How about meeting the second day at one of the Europa bars? Ooh La La, the champagne bar, at 6:30 or 7? We eat at 8:15, the late meal.

I would definitely go. I'm not a huge drinker

All our info. on the fish extender list is still current. We are all super excited that we are almost down to single digits!!! Can't wait!!!

We're flying in the night before and staying at the Hyatt inside MCO and then taking the bus to port.[/QUOTE
We're flying out the 15th too and I believe that we are staying in the same hotel as you guys. Rick said we're staying at a hotel right next to the airport...I assume it's probably the Hyatt.

That sounds great! The girls bar. We are second sitting too.

Those of you staying at the Hyatt will love it! We did that last trip and it totally built the excitement and was SO easy!

Our kids think we are doing the Hyatt again. We haven't told them yet about the Disney day. Hoping to keep it a secret until the day of!

We have done the Hyatt before and it is logistically simple plus some Hyatt point usage. We get in at two different times and both are evening so no time to do anything else anyway and it is a shorter drive to port than from DaWorld.

Our Pixie dust info is correct!

We land in Orlando Friday at 2pm. Any recommendations on where to stay? Not really enough time to do much but also dont want to stay at airport. Maybe someplace with a fun pool? Yacht club? Or maybe near Disney Springs? Havent arranged transportation yet since not sure where we are staying.

If we dock back at port canaveral at 730 what time is everyone usually off the ship by? Our flight out that night isn't until 6 and I was wondering if I would have time to squeeze in walking around the new Disney springs

Most definitely you will! They generally want everyone off the ship by 9am. It's then about 45-60 minutes to Orlando. You'd have lots of time!

Totally depends on what you want to do! Will you rent a car? If you would have a car you could drive out to Port Canaveral/Cocoa beach and spent the evening walking the beach! Or you could stay near Disney springs and check that out!

Oh yay!!! Do you know if we can rent a car at port canaveral and just drop it off back at the airport? I think renting a car would be easier since we'll have a lot of luggage

Yes definitely. We did that last time. Play around with a few quotes online. Some of the car places have one way fees and others don't :). They have lines for the various rental shuttles right when you get off the ship. It was super easy to hop on a shuttle to the car rental place and get our vehicle

If you haven't seen Disney Springs yet, that would be cool to do. I still haven't been able to see all the new stuff they've added there!

We went to Wdw for the first time about 2 years ago so we haven't seen all the new stuff! I brought the idea up to the hubby and he said it was a great idea! YES!
