Thanks for all your encouraging words about my dress. Mostly I'm disappointed because I'm about 30 lbs heavier than I was on our last cruise. I had lost almost 70 and for some reason I've lost my edge and the weight is creeping back up. My neighbor came down and she really liked the dress. I need to find a substantial necklace for it and I think that will help. Formal night is just too much trouble for a vacation.

On a lighter note I have collected over 60 shiny pennies for Noah's Penny Press Quest at WDW! That will be fun.

When you get back from the cruise you just start again don't worry.

We do the shiny penny thing with our son too great thing to have not to expensive

Thank you all for the Welcome, we are all very excited about the cruise. We are arriving a day early so gotta find some excitment for the day...Anyways, Pirate night?? Is that for all the restaurants at night or is it the whole day of priate activities?..Sorry for all the quesations but you all seem to have the answers so where better to ask?? Thanks again!

I never thought about jewelry for my dress. I only wear my wedding ring and the same necklace always. I wonder..... well, I did give up that credit card right?

I will leave this one to the Disney veterans. :thumbsup2 They always come through!!!

I have updated the page with new information.

To those of you who have joined us recently, we are going to have an onboard DIS meet on Embarkation Day at 3:00 pm, Deck 10, overlooking the Mickey Pool, opposite the slide. The view should be similar to the picture of the Mickey Pool I have on the web page. Look for the guy in the pink shirt.

Hmmm, trying to catch up for the day. We will have some beer and wine in our rolling cooler. I will also have some small bottles of soda and water for us to take on excursions.

I am guessing (hoping) that we will stay at Key West through sunset. We will plan to go to Mallory Square for sunset, and if they do say all aboard is 7:00 pm, then can change our plans accordingly.

I really do hope we are there for the sunset. I hear so much about it, and the atmosphere there is supposed to be wonderful. What time would sunset actually be? We have the early dinner seating....I guess we could miss that, but maybe we can do both.

I believe that Pirate night is Cozumel night. Many people dress up in pirate outfits (DS will have pirate gear on, DH and I will be much more subtle). Some people also just dress tropical. The evening is pirate themed and there is a deck party.

Questions are no problem we all learn from them!

Pirate Night is Wednesday night. All restaurants celebrate it. The suggested attire for the night is Tropical or Pirate. All guests will get a bandana at dinner, and all the wait staff is also wearing bandanas. The menu is pirate based.

The entertainment is a movie. The big question is will they show Pirates of the Caribbean II in the Walt Disney Theatre that night. At 9:30 (or so), there is a Pirate deck party. A number of folks will get more into the Pirate theme just prior to the party. There are group dances, and most of the characters. The party ends with fireworks.

After the fireworks, they have been showing Pirates of the Caribbean on the big Dumbotron. Everyone pulls up a deck chair to watch. So it might be that they show PotC II then.

Sunset in Key West on July 16 is at 8:18 pm.

We are planning on skipping dinner on the ship that night (assuming we stay in Key West until 10:00 pm.)

This is the 3rd time I've filled out these Bahama immigration forms, you'd think it wouldn't confuse me anymore. Is this for Castaway cay? Is that the date we use?

I'm starting to stress :sad2: We leave Sunday.

Don't worry, I will stop posting soon.

So, I bought a new camera. I was planning on bringing my work laptop to be able to down load the pictures each day. Well, the company has changed the computers so that individuals can no longer put software on them. In other words, I won't be able to down load the pictures. I thinking of buying another memory card, and after I fill one, I will get Shutters to make me a CD of the pictures, while I can still take pictures on the second card.

This has been very aggravating.

But the good news, I took about 100 pictures during a swim meet this evening to help learn how the camera works. Five other kids on the street are on the team, and DD10 wanted to go to cheer them on.

I lied. I am still posting.

Formal night is Monday. The entertainment for the night is Golden Mickeys. Thursday is semi-formal, and the entertainment is Disney Dreams (my DD10's favorite character on the cruise is Ann Marie).

Bahama Form is for Castaway Cay day, July 21.

That's very annoying! I have two 512 cards and we are bringing dh's laptop to download pictures. I know that I would fill both cards before we left WDW. I'm thinking of taking picture at 3 mp instead of the 6 it can do. I doubt that I would enlarge any of them more than 5x7 and I can get more pictures on the card if I use the lower resolution.

Hi Disers on the 7-15 Western. Don't mean to impose, but I'm on the 7-29 Western, and was lurking on your thread in anticipation since you're the next Western group to leave!
Saw the last 2 posts about the camera memory, and wanted to add that I've read that you can go to Walgreens in Key West and put your photos on a cd for about $4. (Take all your photos of the stateroom, ship, etc the first day, then go to Walgreens) Then you'll have a fresh start for the rest of the cruise. That's my plan, too, with only two 512 cards! :thumbsup2

Good Luck and hope you all have fun!

Good Morning everyone :sunny:

Sure the one night I get some sleep everyone is out late (oh well you snooze you lose)

I am glad someone mentioned the bahamas card. I almost forgot to do it.

Okay everyone have a great day! :cool1: :thumbsup2

Carribean Beach in 6 days :beach:

thank you! :thumbsup2 I think we will also plan on skipping dinner. The boys may want to have dinner, but, as you can imagine, that would be fine with me. They would not appreciate the beauty of the sunset.

I guess we won't know our dinner rotation until we board. I really don't want to miss Animator's Palet.

That's sweet of your daughter. What a great way to learn to use a camera. They can be very difficult, at least for me, to figure out.

I have 3 memory cards for my digital. I also have 7 disposable. The kids will get them. They usually make memory books of their vacations. Well, we only recently began taking bigger, more involved vacations, so they only did this once before. The last time we went to Vegas, Grand Canyon, and Sedona. That was a wonderful vacation.

They are going to be in awe of this one too. :bounce:

Wow, everyone was chatting away last night. I think my exhaustion kicked into full gear last night because I was in bed at 9.

If all goes well in Key West we too will skip dinner on the ship. I would rather eat at Sloppy Joes anyway. Yummy!!!! I'm trying not to get my hopes up but it is so hard. I want the kids to experience Mallory Square.

Do the Bahama immigration forms have to be filled out prior to boarding? I haven't even looked at any of that yet. I remember getting them on our last cruise though.

pirate: Yes, the doctor told me that the cure is 2 tickets to POTC. I got them yesterday, because I do not want to chance it selling out. I will feel wonderful by tomorrow evening. :thumbsup2

I am sure it will all come together. I am just trying to do too much ( had extra children last night and they were up until 3) Wow!! They were talking and having a good time, but wow, I don't know how they do it.

I cannot wait to leave groc, laundry, this dirty house, and all the chores. It will be so refreshing. Until then I will be :cool1:

You have to tell me how the movie was. Zach and Jon are going sometime this afternoon but I want a woman's perspective on it.

We always have a house full of kids. With having a pool and a game room, the kids always migrate over here. I love it though!!! I haven't experienced the sleepovers yet. I guess it will be coming soon. 3:00am!!! Did you get any sleep?

I was planning on going to the beach today with the kids but there is a 80% chance of rain today in the Sunshine State. I knew I should have went yesterday.
