Some people make magnets to put on the cabin door. The doors are metal. This makes it easier to find your door in that long hallway. I did it on our last cruise (4 night) but I got into it a little more then. The day we boarded was DH's 40th - I made about 15 different 40's in different fonts and plastered the door! :lmao:

You can purchase magnet printer paper just about anywhere (Target, Walmart, etc.) or you could print on regular paper and get magnet strips from a craft type store.

There is a very big thread on the main cruise page with lots of examples.

Wow, gonna read this whole thread today. We are newbies and will be on the 7/15 ship with our DD's age 13 and age 10. If you have any advice, let us know!

Welcome Pentex!! My DD is going to be 13 in October. I've been told I can bump her up to the teen program. I'm going to try because my DS is 16. Enjoy reading! I know I did.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Ansky 22! Enjoy your day!

Somewhere on this site, I remember reading some posts about bringing beer/wine onboard. I don't have the time to read all the posts again. Are you allowed to bring booze on the cruise? I apologize for bringing up the same subject, but what is the policy?

Oh, I have been to Allentown for their fair, I believe. It has been a long time.
Yes, there is an Allentown fair. It runs the week of Labor Day . . . pretty popular. Although, I haven't been there in years.

Yes, from what I have read, you can bring the soft sided rolling coolers with what you would like to drink. Just make sure that you do not put ice in the cooler.

Are you getting ready for the big day tomorrow??? The Pirates are coming, the Pirates are coming!!!!! Zach is looking so forward to seeing the movie that I had to break down and let Jon (that would be my DH) take him tomorrow when he gets off of work. I'm just going to have to patiently wait my turn. Since they are playing it on the ship I just might have to wait till then. :sad2:

There are signs at the terminal indicating that it is not allowed - however it seems to not be enforced. There are many, many reports of people doing this. We will be this time. As BTSEN says, no ice and you should be fine.

I got the suitcases out last night - Noah said he was too excited to sleep, he said "it's just like those kids in the commercial Mom!"

I just went to keywest.com and I looked up the cruise ship schedule for the 16th and it said that the Disney Magic would be there from 1130-2200, and it looks like we will be the only ship in port. Okay, yes, I am a knucklehead....does 2200 mean 10 pm? If this is true, then we may get to see that sunset. :cool1:

Yes 2200 is 10:00 pm. Just subtract 1200 from the number to get "regular" time. :)

Since we are on the subject of coolers, what is everyone putting in these coolers? I'm thinking water and beer. My DH wants to bring a bottle of rum and I would like to bring some wine. We are just trying to figure out the best way to pack those. Since we are driving I figured we could just put those bottles in a backpack. Do you think that would be ok?

DH loves getting rum in Grand Cayman. I read on another board that in Grand Cayman they will not let you take the alcohol with you when you purchase it in port and that Disney does not accept it being sent back to the ship. The other cruises (not Disney) we've been on accepts it being sent back to the ship. Does anyone know anything about this?

Wouldn't that be great!!! The past few Disney cruises that have gone there haven't left before 11:00pm. Mallory Square is a fun place to see those fantastic sunsets!!!!
