Too funny!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Next thing you know we will be boarding and meeting everyone!

regarding POC II - maybe we need a girl's night out one night :lmao: :lmao:

Got this off some web site - I've looked at so many :surfweb:

Pirate Ghost Ship to Land at Disney's Castaway Cay

CELEBRATION, Fla. -- A mysterious pirate ship is landing at Disney's private island, Castaway Cay, in time to provide July's Disney Cruise Line guests with a swashbuckling photo opportunity and a sneak peek into movie-making magic. The ship is The Flying Dutchman, a 175-foot ghost ship which makes its silver-screen debut on July 7 in "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest."

The Flying Dutchman's commander is the legendary Davy Jones, who serves as nemesis to the infamous pirate, Captain Jack Sparrow, in the upcoming film.

The intricate film prop is unlike any other pirate ship -- with ragged sails and a barnacle-encrusted bow, the ship looks like it was raised off the ocean floor to haunt the open seas for eternity. The Flying Dutchman will provide a scenic photo backdrop, and guests renting boats on the island will be able to get an up-close look at the ghost ship.

Disney Cruise Line will also hold a PremEAR at Sea of "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" in the Walt Disney Theatre of both Disney Magic and Disney Wonder. On Friday, July 7, guests aboard Disney Cruise Line will receive commemorative buttons and pirate-themed temporary tattoos, and will be invited to view the premiere of the film at 12:01 a.m.

TandD, I have three boys, 8 10 and 12. My 12 year old will be thrilled :cool1: :cool1: there is another 12 year old - and he likes girls :lmao: so he'll be happy and he is bummed about not being in the teen room too so maybe they can at least hang out together. I know, there is a lot of difference between 8 and 12 year olds.

Charge priveleges - wow, don't think I can trust my kids. When we were on the Wonder 3 years ago you had to pay for all sodas except during dinner. I had serious Diet Coke withdrawals.

Speaking of withdrawals, I am a cruise shopaholic but I am also a Starbucks aholic. :hyper: :hyper: Anyone know anything about the coffee bar on board?

Since we are getting so close, I guess I can fill you in on names, I am Terri, husband is Chuck, 12 year old is Jon, 10 year old is Nick and 8 year old is David.
:wave2: :Pinkbounc See you soon

Wasn't the launch amazing! I stil get goosebumps. :thumbsup2

BTSEN - no worries about traffic on the 15th!

I have some catching up to do so I'll be doing a few posts now - hope you don't mind!

Terri

I am just checking in. I am so beat. We spent the day at the beach, and then went to a party. Just came home and I think not sleeping last night has caught up with me.

I did not get to see the launch, and I was wondering if everything was a go. I am glad that #1 it launched safely, and #2, that it did launch today. I was getting slightly apprehensive about that.

Keep the posts coming.I enjoy reading everything everybody writes.

Awww, bugger.

jonida 3: I am glad to hear there are children the same ages as mine. My daughter tells me she doesn't like boys, but often I hear other stories. :confused3
I am glad I found this board and I am looking forward to meeting everyone. I can't believe it's almost time! :woohoo:
Last time we cruised on the Wonder, we also had to pay for sodas. Glad to hear that they did away with that. I do give my children charging privileges, but give them the evil eye when I'm laying the law down. That seems to work with both of mine, but I will periodically check up on them anyway.

Starbucks onboard would be great. Love those frappacinos.

I will also fill in all the names too. You may know, I am Tammie, Brian is my husband, Sean 18, Eric 14 on July 13th, and Nathan, known as Nate 10.

Well, believe it or not, I am going to retire for the evening. Hopefully I will wake up chipper in the morning. I hope there are lots of posts for me to read. :)

One question, we are going on our own in Cozumel. Has anyone ever been to Playa Mia Beach, or Chankanaab, and one other is Mr. Sanchez ( I think). Can you tell me what you thought about them, or what you would recommend. Playa Mia has a website....www.playamia.com. It looks really neat, but I have also heard great things about the others too.

I am still not sure what we are going to do in Grand Cayman.

Greetings all! Happy Fourth of July!

Our street has a cook out / party in the cul de sac. Fireworks are legal in South Carolina, and we have a few friends that go overboard. We will probably get started about 5:00 pm. One of our neighbors just got back from a Mediteranean Cruise last night. I can't wait to hear about it.

I filled out all the on-line forms last night. They were not too difficult to do, and they did not take that long. I gave the DD's charging privileges; I may regret doing that and take that back.

So what are others' thoughts on kids signing themselves out of the clubs? We have not done this in the past, and the girls have not missed it. I think DD10 may see other kids doing it, and want the same. DW and I are coming up with some rules, so if we change our minds, we will be set.

We did not give Noah sign out privileges. 8 seems a bit too young for that. He knows how to get us if he wants (which I highly doubt :rotfl: ).

:badpc: :badpc: :badpc: Someone save me. I just bought matching Disney T-shirts for the 5 of us to wear - lime green. You'll see us. From another thread on this board, found out disneyshopping was having a sale and if you type in CARS10 you get an additional 10% discount. OK, this is really it. No more shopping. Must save $$ for all the stuff on board!

p.s. DH talked me into doing the submarine so we signed up to do that in Cayman. Anyone else doing a sub?

Terri

Please everyone Step away from the stores with your credit card down and

My Motto: If I don't have it by now then its not that important.

:rotfl2: That is too funny. Made my morning after one of "those" day yesterday!! Thank you.

I am really debating on T-shirts. Somebody stop me!!! I know they are very cheap, but when you factor in 5 of us, that means another 30 bucks or so. I don't know. My husband and I are going to see Journey and Def Leppard on Saturday, so that will probably help me stay out of the stores. Gosh, I just really dated myself, didn't I ? :) Being named Tammie, alone, dates me.

I cannot believe how quickly it coming up. 10 days!! Can you relate to the stress I am now feeling.

I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July!!!! We had a great day!! Cookout, swimming, saw the shuttle launch from our back yard, and lots and lots of fireworks.

My inlaws just left and they are on their way to WDW for 3 days before they take off on the Magic. I told them to take good care of the ship and to tell Mickey we all said Hi!

We will not be in matching T-shirts. I have surrendered my credit and debit card like Ansky has told us to do.

We aren't given Zach sign out privileges either. Even though he's pretty responsible, it still makes me nervous. I know I would find him by the ice cream if I did!

Yes, from "back in the day," as my 18 year old says. :rotfl:

I have my card out to surrender it, but I have yet to find the strength to let go.

I thought the ice cream was free. :confused3
My daughter loves ice cream and has it every night. I know on Carnival she could just help herself to the ice cream.

Welcome JohnnyBono!! I also just discovered this site and found it to be very helpful. I spent a lot of time reading through all the pages. Everyone on this board is very helpful. Sorry, but I can't help you with the excursions info. Last time we did a Disney Cruise, we just winged it on our own. We might do the same this time around. Good Luck!

I believe it is free. I think sillykidsmom was just saying that is probably where Zach would be. I had mentioned that I was giving my 10 yr old sign out priveleges, because it would be nice for him to go with his brother to get some ice cream or something. They love the idea of getting food whenever they want. I will probably have to put them into training after the cruise though. :)

Where is Northhampton, Pa. I was just curious? I am originally from Lancaster County, PA.

Northampton is about 1 hour north of Philadelphia, located near the Allentown/Bethlehem/Easton area.
I think I'm getting confused with sign out privileges and charging privileges. . . Sorry!
Does the Magic have a self-serve ice cream area? We've crusied on Wonder a few years ago (2002) and I can't remember.
