Hello everyone..Just found this site while searching to info our July 15 cruise and it seems to have a lot of it. Gonna take some time to sort through it all. I did see some info on pirate night, sounds fun for the kids!.Anyways, what i was really looking for info on was the excursion trips, what is recomend, what to avoid and what about private charters??Are those any good..Any help would be appreciated..Again thanks and I hope to see you on the ship!.

Welcome JohnnyBono! Excursions are hard, it really depends on what your family will enjoy. We have nothing planned for Key West, we'll just explore on our own. For Grand Cayman we booked through NativeWay for Stingray city. In Cozumel DH is going golfing while DS and I go on the Atlantis Sub. Castaway Cay is a beach day, we don't book anything other than floaties. :woohoo:

Only 5 days left for us :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc I really need to work on the door magnets soon.

Northampton is about 1 hour north of Philadelphia, located near the Allentown/Bethlehem/Easton area.
I think I'm getting confused with sign out privileges and charging privileges. . . Sorry!
Does the Magic have a self-serve ice cream area? We've crusied on Wonder a few years ago (2002) and I can't remember.

Welcome TandD.
The Magic does have an ice cream area but it's not self service. There is a crew (cast) Member that will get it for you. Unless they changed it. And yes it is free.

Wow, only 5 more day's for ya'll!!!! I would be bouncing of the walls!!!! Zach is looking forward to meeting Noah.

I just ordered Noah's basket from Shirley. She's so sweet and nice! I ordered a sand pail basket and had her add a pirate telescope. I think he will be happy.

Shirley said the shuttle launch was breathtaking. Noah we dissappointed that it wasn't delayed until the 15th but secretly I didn't want to deal with the traffic.

I can't believe we leave on Sunday :yay:

Did Noah reply to Zach yet? He's been funny about that stuff lately. Mostly he's too busy being an 8 yr old on summer break. When he's ready to do it I'm ready for him to go to bed

Let me know, if he hasn't I'll get him on it. He's excited that he will have "friends" in the lab. I'm not sure how he will know him if he doesn't email him. :rolleyes1

Ice Cream is free. There is a place next to the Mickey Pool which used to be called Scoops. A person would serve you the ice cream in a dish, and you could put toppings on it. They have redone this area and it is no longer called Scoops (and I can't remember the new name). It now has sandwiches, and maybe salads. The ice cream is still there, but it is now self serve. The handle not easily reachable by kids, but I am not sure down to what size. I think they wanted to keep the real young kids from just pulling the handle.

And if all that was too much trouble, you can always order Mickey Ice Cream bars from Room Service.

I believe it is free. I think sillykidsmom was just saying that is probably where Zach would be. I had mentioned that I was giving my 10 yr old sign out priveleges, because it would be nice for him to go with his brother to get some ice cream or something. They love the idea of getting food whenever they want. I will probably have to put them into training after the cruise though. :)

Zach's favorite part of the cruise is the food!!!! Thank goodness he starts football when we get back. If I feel comfortable mid-cruise do you think I can change sign out priveleges for Zach? He is almost 9 and pretty responsible for his age. I just better buy him a watch before we go. Oooppss, that would mean going back shopping. I will send my hubby out to get the watch. If I give him that mission he will not deviate from the list. (being just a watch)

Everyone in the house is napping. I think I may have to join them. I'm so exhausted from all the company the past two weeks. I'm ready to be pampered now! No cooking, no cleaning, no entertaining. CAN'T WAIT!!!!!      ( I love this dancing banana)

I had read on another thread that the soft serve is self service now. I am not sure if that is definitely the case. Was it called "Scoops?"

Noah did reply to Zach on 7/1. I believe Zach did reply back. I'm sure it will work out just fine. Zach is very outgoing and makes friends easily.

Yes it was called "Scoops". TheGales did clarify too that it is now self serve. When we went last year it wasn't. Zach has already asked me what his limit of ice cream is a day. :rolleyes2

Oh, I have been to Allentown for their fair, I believe. It has been a long time.

Well, what a boy. To actually ask what the limit is.....amazing!! :thumbsup2 I hear that at Palo's, I think, the gelato is to die for. Have any of ya'll tried that. It will be hard to choose between that and the chocolate souffle that I have been hearing so much about......Can anyone say e l a s t i c?

I have taken up jogging the last 2 weeks in the hopes that I can lose 5 pounds, so I can gain that back and be right where I am now. :rolleyes1 I know, it is sad, but what can I say, I will have to somehow justify all those desserts, so what better way than to plan ahead. :confused3

Not sure about Palo's. Never ate there and will not this cruise either. I would hate to be enjoying my dinner when our 3 year old freaks out and wants to come out of the club. I do have this to say though, the desserts I have had on the cruise, YUMMY!!!!

You go jogging girl!!!! Jog for me too ok. I have an eliptical machine and it has turned into a coat hanger. I will worry about any weight issues when I get back. I'm not that big on cruise food. (IMO) I actually lost weight on our last cruise!!

Oh, you give me such hope. But you have to remember, you do have that 3 year old to chase around. I don't have that anymore. :sad2: They grow up too fast.

The chocolate souffle is AMAZING!!! I hear they have other desserts at Palo, I wonder what they are :confused3 My favorite thing at Palo however is the Calamari - the best I've ever had! :thumbsup2

I did my door magnets, only 3 but that's enough to make our door look different than all the others.

I made packing lists today, I think there are some items missing so I need to think on them some more. Too much to do - not enough time!

I guess I will have to try the souffle. I think it is best that me and hubby each order something to share, then we can sample the gelato too. I have never had calimari. That may be something interesting to try.

I only have 2 door magnets for each of our doors. I just wanted something to make it a little special and that will do. I think that is the neatest idea. I would have never thought of doing that on my own.

I feel as though I am in limbo right now. It is so close, yet so far away. I feel like I have ran out of things to do. I guess I will be wishing for that to be the case next week.

I can start working on the t-shirts and magnets again!! A week ago Friday, we were having very bad lightening storm. I thought I would be a good person and shut down the home computer (the one hooked to the printer). I even unplugged the cable from the wall. Well, when the storm was over, I plugged everything back in, but the computer would not turn on. Because I rarely turn off the home computer, the power supply decided to stop working. A new power supply arrived today, I put it in the computer, and it works like a charm.

I will start printing magnets and t-shirt decals tomorrow.

Well I am feeling a little bit antsy tonight so I have decided to try to pack I
