July 15-22 2006 Western Anyone?

I have a question about the dining rotation and how to dress for each night.
I've been reading other threads and I'm getting more confused.

Does the restaurant you eat in on a particular night determine the dress code or is the dress code the same for everyone no matter where you're eating that night? For example, is formal night, formal night for everyone on the ship? I know this is probably a stupid question and I thought I knew the answer but I read about people who request a particular rotation for whatever reason. And I'm still a newbie and I'm so confused! :confused3

Thanks in advance!

Everyone dresses the same each night regardless of what dining room your in. So yes, when it's formal night everyone is formal.

Please don't think any question is stupid. I think all questions benefit everyone. :thumbsup2

I am on a roll here. Have not been on since this morning.

Glad you are having a great time. Lucky you, cocktails..... Ahhhh, now I have a vision of me on board the magic with one of those fancy tropical drinks, lounging on a chair on deck, with the warm tropical breezes blowing my ...........oh, I'm back. Ugh (looks around at surroundings), much better where I was at. :rotfl2:

What a great image. I am having a great time with the family, but there's nothing like being out in the open waters on a beautiful ship. (And yes there is a cocktail in my hand) :woohoo:

Hi all. Back again, Hopefully I will be able to stay home now until we leave on the 14th. I was just reading to catch up, and I see quite a few people our now going. Thats great. Unfortunetly we have sort of a dilema. Our son has now made the 12 year old all star team, they just won their first tournament. Great news except if they win the next one they will represent us in the New England Tournament, July 15-27. Which means he would not be able to go on the Cruise. I understand that he wants to play being his last year in Little League, but Mom is freaking out. So every day, is day to day right now. Oh, we booked through Dreams and we received our Docs Today. I didnt tell Mom yet, I figure to wait a few more days about the Docs coming. I was looking at them though, and I think it is neat that if you sign up with most of the info on line, then you really don't get much in the doc folder. Sorry to ramble, have a great night!

excuse my excitement

I am feeling quite left out now. Have not received docs yet. Maybe tomorrow. I hope my TA doesn't have them. I would like to have them in hand.

BTW, how many luggage tags do you get? Do they give you enough for two bags per guest?

If I don't receive the docs by Friday, then I will call the TA.

Wow, we went out for the evening, and look at all the posts!

We went to the Greenville Drive baseball game tonight. They played the Lexington Legends. Roger Clemens' son plays for Lexington, and he hit a two run homer. Luckily, Greenville came back in the eighth to win it.

buzz - congratulations for your son. What an accomplishment. I can't imagine the mixed emotions you all are having.

I have enough stickers for 6 bags

I was thinking the same thing when I received my info in the mail. It had about 2 or 3 things of any importance :rolleyes1

To All :cheer2:

Has anyone noticed our position on the cruise :surfweb: meets page. We are in the top five spot

pretty impressive ( I must confess I impress easily :teeth: )

:grouphug: Good Job everyone

 yea, we da bomb!!! Ugh, I sound like my kids. :)

I impress easily too. I usually check the board 3 or so times a day. Today seemed a little slow, until this evening.

I used the evening to go shopping with a friend. I went to Burlington Coat Factory and found some dress shirts for the boys for $10 and a pair of pants for my 10 year old for the same price. Of course I had to check out the ladies clothing and found a nice top for meself. I swear, it just works out that way. Actually, my friend suggested I get it.....so I did. :rolleyes1

I am really having trouble with the dinner attire. I don't want to pack too much. Would it be reasonable to carry 1 pair of khaki's for the boys for dinner? Is it pretty easy to send them out to be cleaned if needed? They will be changing, I am sure, as soon as dinner is over.

I will talk to you all tomorrow. I am beat. Family comes home tomorrow, so I will have plenty to do. Have a great night.

This is it I am going to try to sleep

If no luck then I will be back at 2:00

Goodnight from NEW YORK (sorry fo being silly) :rotfl: :happytv: :rotfl2:

For those of you who have done the Disney cruise before, how much drawer space is in the room? I've been packing tonight and just have no idea where we are going to put all these clothes once we unpack them.

Good Morning :sunny: Let's get up and stretch :yay:

Its 5:00 do you know how many days to your Disnry Cruise?

How are everyone's magnetic door signs coming?
Mine is in the works but it will look nothing like the elaborate ones on the other thread. Creative and as you already know, computer-savvy, I am not. :rolleyes1

Over-packing, however, is one of my specialties. I'm really going to have to make an effort not to overpack. Right now, I'm afraid I don't have enough luggage! I'll probably have one bag of just shoes! For all of us, not just me, for you men out there!

Another question...how cool do you think it'll ever get? Usually, I'll pack a pair of jeans for each of us "just in case" but if I can eliminate that, that would be good. Also, jackets/sweatshirts? I'm sure I should bring something but will it really be necessary in the Caribbean in July?

Also, my TA says I'll have the docs by the end of the week. She didn't even have them as of yesterday. They go to her central office first, then to her and then to me. :worried:

Did you get ANY sleep last night Ansky? You are very chipper this morning. I did not get to sleep till 1 and did not get up till 7:30.

I have read that so many people have gotten their docs (yesterday). Maybe today is my lucky day.

On one of the other threads on the main board, someone said that the luggage tags do not look that dependable. What do you all think? I am really worried about losing them and then not getting my luggage.

My family is on the way home. It is a 9 hour drive, so they will not be here till later this evening. They are coming from OHio, so I hope that the weather is okay. We are in a flash flood warning till late tonight, although it is sunny now. WE are having the weirdest weather these days....sunny...flooding rain....sunny....flooding rain.

Is it 17 days till the cruise? 18? It is so exciting. :bounce: :dance3:

I have 4 signs made. Nothing real creative, because I had to do a lot of cutting out and glueing because I did not want to run the magnets through my printer. I would love to make one more, and may do it. It is getting time to think about packing a bit, so I will see.

I am not sure about the weather either. I think I will stick to capris for me and the little and big men......well, they never get cold. They are wanting to wear shorts in Feb so I think that it would be a waste of space to bring jeans. If it doesn't get below 50 degrees, they would not wear them. I would bring a shawl or jacket though. Actually, I am bringing a shawl.

I have a feeling mine will also go to my TA. I expect them by Friday or so. If not, I will call her.

Here is a site that I got from another board ( I think :) ) for Key West. It has coupons and a nice brochure and map that you can print out.

I don't know how to actually post a link but here is the site:

Had a few other door signs on my print program CD and poof one day its gone the cd cannot find it so thank goodness I had a few printed. I will find the CD when the creuise is over because thats how it goes

Wow, you've all been so busy! :rotfl:

I spoke with DH last night and asked if the cruise docs came yet. He said "something came today, not sure what it is" I'd have had it ripped open so fast.....

I went shopping last night and got 2 short sleeved dress shirts for Noah (on sale for $9). I will bring all of them and 2 pairs of docker type pants for him. I do plan on doing laundry :laundy: probably at WDW and on the ship. Then I don't have to pack as much.

gotta go now, class is about to start again.
