**JULY 11, 2010*** Double Dip Wonder!

Glad Marco is in Palo!
We had Christiaan for 8 cruises on the Magic before he went to the Wonder.
9 days of Christiaan as our CD is going to be a blast!
I miss Pikey but I am happy he is married and starting a new life. Don't know Frankie. Pikey is a friend on FB and it is nice to see how he is doing.
Most of the CMs we know are on the Magic right now.
HAHAHA Capt John ..."Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls,..."

Frankie and Pike were best buddies. When they were off the ship, they'd always be found together. I think we'll like him.

Come to the DIS Meet on embarkation day, so we can both look at eachother and go "OHHHH....of course I remember now!!" :rotfl2:

WELL almost packed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

is anyone sharing limos, rental cars or ??????? to and from the airport ??????????????????

Okay bed time

At least the hurricane missed Kevin...that's something else to be thankful for.

Yeah, we are just getting dumped on here but nothing bad. Actually let up some now.

Poor Marco - I actually found his email address on FB - but decided not to email him about the Palo post wedding reception issue.... I'm raising enough issues as it is. I can honestly say that I'm making up for the previous 9 cruises where I didn't request much from Concierge at all...... I will talk to Marco on board if they are still trying to dump us in to the Cadillac Lounge. Their issue is that there isn't space to cut the cake and toast in Palo in the center, my issue is that the Cadillac Lounge will be dark - and the portholes will be facing the dock - damnit - I've paid for Palo - and I want Palo - if they want to send us to the Cadillac Lounge to party after we cut the cake - then that's fine, but I want to be on top of the ship - looking out over the island toasting the newlyweds........

My Aunt and her sister can't make it - so we're down to 40..... Maybe that will sway them....

Agreed! I hope we can work it out. Go team :grouphug:

HAH - And I bet the booking says PALO. Their issue is a non-issue.....There will be some guests at the "back".....perhaps waiting to catch the bouquet???

The same cluster of folks will occur in Cadillac. Your issue on the other hand is accurate. Show them the booking contract!!!!! Meanwhile, geesh, look at all the extra guests.

And they say the Father of the Bride has it easy....Good Luck.

No, it is on the contract as Cadillac. We asked about it and they said there was nothing they could do about it... but most of the answers we've been getting from the wedding planner have been textbook BS. We are just looking forward to meeting the actual wedding coordinator on the ship so we have some better idea of what's going on.

Have they told you the name of the coordinator on the ship? Years ago when Megan was (first time) married on Castaway Cay, the coordinator was a guy named Brent....not the CD Brent....and he was wonderful! Very pleasant and accommodating. It seemed like the lady we'd talked to on land was only quoting what she'd been told to say all along.

Nick & Kristin...here's what it boils down to.....you two will have a BEAUTIFUL wedding, in one of the most special places you could possibly get married.
What matters the most is that you'll each be with the person you love most in the whole world, sharing your day with friends and family.
It doesn't matter where you cut the cake, as long as you do it together.
Two very important life/marriage lessons......Laughter and Flexibility.

That's a bunch of BS!!! Don't listen to her.

The only thing that matters is getting the 4 teenage girls into Palos!!!!

But there is no Palos on the ship. There is however Palo. :lmao: Sorry been reading the main board too much.

We are just getting soaked with all this rain from Alex. Ugh. I am trying to stay positive in that I hope it means good weather next weekend and the week after. Maybe Mother Nature will take a rest from playing with the tropical waves for a couple of weeks.

I started throwing together what I call the "packing pile" last night. Basically I just throw what I think I want to pack into a pile. Then when I actually pack, I weed through it and make final decisions. The pile is always rather large, but I am hoping to narrow it down. I always pack waay too much, but I am determined to take advantage of the laundry on board before we disembark so we can spend the last 3 days in Orlando with clean clothes.

We are flying SW for the first time to FL, which means two bags each (if we really wanted to bring that much), but I might take advantage of packing one with clothes, with room to spare for souvenirs, and another small one for toiletries. We three girls go through alot of toiletries! ;)

Well, I have to try to keep this a secret for nine more days. I packed most of his stuff and the snorkeling gear and what-nots on Wednesday morning (took off that day to go see Eclipse with the girls from work.)

I am debating on parking at the port (since we live here, we usually just get dropped off and save $75 (5 days, $15 a day). But as soon as a friend shows up at the house to drive us, he is probably going to know that we are heading to the Port. He might think we are heading to Orlando Int'l Airport, but that's a lot to ask of somebody to drive you and pick you up from there, so he probably wouldn't think I would ask anyone to do that.

I also think I'm going to blindfold him. He says I can't because I did it a few years ago and drove around in every direction to confuse him, then met some friends at The Melting Pot. He was embarrassed (which is pretty hard to do).

Looking forward to meeting you all. Remind me again the time and place for the Meet and Greet.

Thanks! Happy Fourth of July!!
Lisa
