Well, at least I got the IMPORTANT part right.....we have Christiaan!!!

Hi all....I'm jumping in here to correct Stacey on some things.
I see that Virgil already corrected her and that you all will have Capt. Gus. He's a very quiet man, but nice.
Christiaan has already been warned that he will have a stalker on an upcoming cruise.
Marco just came back from vacation so he was all rested last week when I saw him in Palo.
Frankie is the DJ, something that Pikey did a long time ago. Dan has taken over Pikey's position. Dan does a good job and Frankie is a good DJ.
We had Carina for our head server, but she leaves on vacation the day you all board the ship. Alen is the dining services manager and stopped by our table every night to check on us and spoil us. He was our first server in 1999 and is now an officer.

Now back to your regularly scheduled cruise planning and chatting.

Poor Marco - I actually found his email address on FB - but decided not to email him about the Palo post wedding reception issue.... I'm raising enough issues as it is. I can honestly say that I'm making up for the previous 9 cruises where I didn't request much from Concierge at all...... I will talk to Marco on board if they are still trying to dump us in to the Cadillac Lounge. Their issue is that there isn't space to cut the cake and toast in Palo in the center, my issue is that the Cadillac Lounge will be dark - and the portholes will be facing the dock - damnit - I've paid for Palo - and I want Palo - if they want to send us to the Cadillac Lounge to party after we cut the cake - then that's fine, but I want to be on top of the ship - looking out over the island toasting the newlyweds........

My Aunt and her sister can't make it - so we're down to 40..... Maybe that will sway them....

They wouldn't let us request a specific rotation. It was enough of a hassle to try and plan out the seating without offending anybody - I tried to be good.....

No worries. I misunderstood when you said you didn't request a server just the seating. I thought you meant you had requested a certain rotation. Sorry about that.

Did you see my maps? There's PLENTY of room. Not everyone will get a front row seat to see the cake-cutting, but when does anyone? There are always a ton of tall people standing in front of me!
I don't think you'll have trouble "convincing" them. Look how many rooms were booked because of this wedding....they're making some money.

I'll volunteer to have a private meeting with Christiaan, if necessary!!

HAH - And I bet the booking says PALO. Their issue is a non-issue.....There will be some guests at the "back".....perhaps waiting to catch the bouquet???

The same cluster of folks will occur in Cadillac. Your issue on the other hand is accurate. Show them the booking contract!!!!! Meanwhile, geesh, look at all the extra guests.

And they say the Father of the Bride has it easy....Good Luck.

Yes, It's Christiaan. I had a friend who just got back from her 5 night cruise check on it.
Marco is in Palo, Christiaan is the CD, and I think she said it was Capt John, but I could be wrong about that...I know whoever she said was Capt is one that I haven't met. And Frankie is doing whatever Pikey used to do....entertainment, Bingo, etc.

Glad Marco is in Palo!
We had Christiaan for 8 cruises on the Magic before he went to the Wonder.
9 days of Christiaan as our CD is going to be a blast!
I miss Pikey but I am happy he is married and starting a new life. Don't know Frankie. Pikey is a friend on FB and it is nice to see how he is doing.
Most of the CMs we know are on the Magic right now.

I am starting to freak because there is so little time left and so much to do. Breathe... I keep thinking that at least I am not the bride or the MOTB! BTDT, and remember the stress. But I know all will work at well for the blessed couple and their families.

I hope I remember! Once I get on the boat, I am totally on vacation time and things tend to slip my mind. That's the sea day, right?

I printed out my "vacation plan" from DCL's website, and then I mark in anything extra. There was also a page listing our itinerary and any shore excursions, Palo, etc in our cruise documents. I bring it with me and stick it next to the mirror in the room, so that I can see what's planned (if anything) for each day.
