Well it looks like we may opt to stay on the ship in Nassau. We were going to do the underwater snuba thing but with the pick-up being before we arrive and not wanting to do the afternoon one and rush back to the ship that's out. Then we were going to do the Segway tour based on Jim & Sharon's recommendation but after the robbery last weekend and that being pulled that's out as well. We've already done Atlantis twice. So we might just enjoy the ship like we did at Cozumel on the blabbermouth cruise.

I can't say that I blame you, Mary. I've been reading about the incidents, and am on a "wait and see" basis right now.
Hopefully Nassau realizes what a problem they have, and will beef up their security and police force.

Just an FYI....Blue Lagoon was a nice place to go. A Disney excursion, and you go by boat. The little island isn't connected to any other land, so I'd expect they wouldn't have the crime problem.

18 cruise passengers robbed on Bahamas excursion

It happened last weekend on the Segway Tour. One of the people posting in the thread was a victim.

I'll wait and see what's going on between now and then before I get too worried.

I've read the the Bahamas are really upset about this rash of incidents and are cracking down quickly...

I do agree that things will be getting better or they will lose their largest money maker - the tourism business. It's just that having been to Nassau a number of times now those were really the only two things that looked different to us and worth trying. No biggie. We really enjoyed staying on the ship in Cozumel and treating it like a bit of a sea day. I see us doing much the same now in Nassau.
