I'm getting a little nervous now that we only have 5 weeks to get our acts together!! I still don't have pirate night clothes for myself!!

Hi all! For the wonderful dis member keeping track of cabins- ours is 7034 and dd and her bff cabin number is 7035. The FE sounds fun, but we are not the arsty crafty type so just making one would be a challenge (especially how carzy school has been lately!)

So I am sitting home with one child with strep throat and the other one with a goose egg on his head from crashing in to a brick wall at school ......is it time to go yet???......

I really can relate to this, Special K's Mom! I teach third grade and let's just say the natives are getting restless! Not to mention that much as I love these kids, some days I get a little weary of hearing my name repeated upteen times a day by 19-20 little voices- lol!

I am just making simple bookmarks and buying some disney stuff when i catch it on sale and maybe some Pirate stuff for the pirate party from Oriental Trading. I plan to go to Goodwill to try to put together a costume also.

I am waiting to decide on what to get for my fish extender gifts once I know how many people I have to get for. I was wondering if we should have a deadline for joining the exchange? I don't want to leave people out but I will also be ordering some stuff from oriental traders and will need at least 2 weeks for delivery. I am proposing June 20? Does that sound too harsh? It would give us 3 weeks to get our stuff together. What does everyone else think? I admit sometimes I can be a bit of an overplanner, (we only booked this cruise the day it came out)!

I think so too. The 20th sounds fine. I think other groups usually have a cutoff date anyway, but being a newbie I may be wrong.

June 20th sounds very reasonable to us as well. We’ll add a note to the F/E list the next time it’s republished (probably latter tonight). Actually, we sent out PMs to all the other DIS members that have been following the thread and we hope to here back from those folks soon.

LOL! I get called by the teachers' names alot instead of Mom! My DD will "officially" be a 3rd grader tomorrow afternoon!! And DS is headed to Kindergarten.....God Bless the teachers!!!

Only a day and 1/2 left with my fourth graders.... I'm retiring after teaching 34 and 1/2 years (31 of them in the same town)....such mixed feelings. I've been teaching seven years with a teacher that I taught as a fourth grader. I've had the daughter of a woman I also taught in fourth grade. It is time to retire......Now comes the job of packing up and giving away 34 years of materials...
This cruise is my retirement present to my family for always sharing me and my time with my students over the years...

My oldest graduated from HS last night. I feel like she was just a kindergartener last week! Our cruise is to celebrate her move to adulthood.

These are great magnets, I will put one on my door. We have been working on the magnets a lot. It started out that I told my kids we could only put 4 on the door......then I said ok 8.......ok but not more than 14..........

Me, my husband and my DS8, DD6 will be sailing with all of you. A little late to the planning, not sure where to begin. Just paid for trip now, and awaiting next instructions....

We wen to the world last summer for two weeks, stayed at AKL best vacation of a lifetime, thus the cruise this year....
