July 10, 2011--DIS PEEPS reunite on the Disney Dream!

Camikey, I just read on DisneyZell's pre-trip report your daughter swallowed a marble. I, at the exact same age, did this too. My mom, I am 41 now, still to this day will remind me of this incident any chance she gets.

Anyone receive their cruise papers yet? I am anxiously checking my mailbox every day.

Yes, she did. Everything came out alright in the end.:rotfl: Yeah, it wasn't so funny then. She will never live it down.:rolleyes1

Last week we got a postcard from Minnie. We are so excited!!!!!

A postcard from Minnie! That's exciting. We have signed up for the character call.

We get our call Friday night from Ariel. I found a thread called Pay It Forward. Someone on a recent cruise sent it to her. Her has it by the TV. Such an awesome idea. They just write a quick note and mail it from CC or the port when they return.

I asked Des the other night if she would like me to sneak her on the Aquaduck. She was like "Can you really do that? What if they make you leave? Who will I stay with?" I see she is so concerned about me.:lmao:

Okay...full disclosure here. I needed to see my countdown ticker. LOL.

Anyone else doing the Graycliff cigar excursion. I'm not much of an afficionado, but it really looked interesting. Of course the rum tasting along with the cigar was very enticing.

Can we please add my sister-in-law and her family to the FE as well?:woohoo:
DW, DH, DS 6, DS 2
We may also have one more family traveling with us who would like to do the FE as well. I will post prior to the deadline letting you know. Thanks!
Also, could you please update the ages of my kids...they are now 4 and 2 at time of cruising.:scared1: Thanks!!!:cheer2:

Added and updated! :thumbsup2

I love watching those days tick down too! :goodvibes Can't believe we've got less than 2 months to go. No cigar or rum excursions for us, but really looking forward sitting on the beach at CC - sipping a conch cooler while staring at that gorgeous blue water - paradise! :cool1:

That would be great. I believe the first 5 night Dream trip leaves this weekend. We can check out the Navigators to get an idea of what days they will offer it.

Hi policycobb and camikey, if it helps your planning I emailed concierge reservations today and asked if I could book this in advance and they say it is available but it can only be booked onboard. Fingers crossed!

Here's what I was thinking about the FE exchange; let me know if it's okay with everyone.

- Number and type of gift is completely up to each participant. If you want to do one gift per cabin, or separate gifts for each person, or one for the adults and separate ones for the kids.....all fine. This is supposed to be fun and as long as everyone gives at least one gift per cabin it's all good.

- I would like to assign delivery days just so there's something in the FE every day and we don't overload the FEs by all delivering at once. That said, if you can't/don't want to deliver on your assigned day, just do it another day! We're on vacation - no stress :goodvibes

We agreed to cutoff the FE sign up list on May 31, so if anyone is lurking or still thinking about it - don't wait too long!

For those of you that have mentioned a DISmeet on board, someone just needs to step up and plan it (not me - I've got the FEs :)). Anyone been on the Dream yet and have an idea for a good meeting place? We used the Promonade Lounge on the Wonder and the Magic; does the Dream have a similar venue?

Dany
Okay, since this is our first cruise, I am guessing the FE is some sort of gift exchange. Like Secret Santa? Could you please explain it to me? We would like to sign up, I think! Thanks!

Hi Chip and Daleuk! I am sorry I just saw your post. We will be glad to have another young boy our age in concierge. How will we recognize you? You will definitely spot us, we will be the parents shushing three young boys!! We have some friends who just joined us with their 9 year old son, but they will not be in concierge. We are really looking forward to the cruise. We managed to get spaces on the dolphin experience/aquaventure, but thinking of backing DD and oldest DS from the dolphins...it is a pretty expensive! Anyone done these two together before?

Yes, it is kind of like Secret Santa. :) Here's a link with some pictures and a short explanation.

There's a link in the post above to a long thread with lots of more detailed information. Let me know if you want to join the group - it's lots of fun! :thumbsup2

Hi nuttyboys!! I'm sure we will Stand out! So far looks like our the only ones from the UK on the cruise list and I guess we will be the only British people in concierge! We will come looking for you!
We haven't actually done the dolphin experience in the Bahamas but we have done it at Atlantis in Dubai on a couple of occasions and I understand they are the same. Aquaventure is great fun and we all enjoyed the dolphin swim but there was not a great deal of interaction. There us also the other dolphin experience (blue lagoon) but I'm not sure how the two compare so maybe somebody on here could tell you .
We are staying onboard at Nassau hoping to get to see the ship a bit better and take advantage while it's a bit quieter! Few others on this thread seem to bevthinking the same. We are in Florida for a total of 3 weeks so have lots to squeeze in!
We have cabana 2 for both days at CC, looked at the pictures on here and it seems a good location although they all look good. My DS will be so excited that he has friends to be with:goodvibes

ChipandDaleUK, just practice your "American" accents -- nobody will notice you're the only people on board from the UK.

I'm sure there are others from all around the globe. I've been told I'm from my own world, or I live in my own world - or something similar.

I'm reading all of you planning excursions, and activities. For some reason, I just can't get excited about excursions and activities. (This time) I just want to go explore the ship, eat, drink, rest, drink, swim, lay on the beach, eat, and drink. I think that will be quite enough for me to do. I know the kids are exited about the kids clubs. DW has been silent so far - so, I don't know if I'll be doing anything other than the above that I don't know of yet. If there is something, I will be told about it and how she has discussed this with me (fill in the blank) time ago, and how could I not remember that I agreed with this plan . . .

I guess I should be impervious to any memory diseases, as I don't seem to have a memory to begin with.

I could get into an activity that involved going on a three hour tour and getting stranded on Castaway Cay for at least three consecutive television seasons. And, then coming back for reunion tours. :happytv:

Good idea figment fan! I will try and squeeze in some lessons before we go. We are originally from Liverpool so have pretty strong accents so not sure if anybody will be able to understand a word we say!!
Im sure your family have lots of plans for you once you get on board although the eating and drinking sounds good and is top of my list too :drinking:

Hello everyone.....I don't know what I am more excited for.....the cruise or the end of school. My school kids are going crazy!!!!

Quick question.....do they have two seater bikes on CC? Destiny is not very good at riding yet, but I thought it might be fun.

Count me in for this excursion! :thumbsup2

chip&daleUK - Which cabana are you in the 2nd CC day? We have #11 - just wondering if we're neighbors :goodvibes
