July 10, 2011--DIS PEEPS reunite on the Disney Dream!

that's true. If they get word, there might be an unusually large number of vacation requests.:lmao:

(don't worry folks. As far as you know we are all talk:rolleyes1)

"another Saturday night and I ain't got nobody...I got some money 'cuz I just got paid....."
actually I just like the first part. It's Saturday night and I have 'tweens playing Wii downstairs (and laughing maniacally) and teens upstairs watching UFC (which they say is wrestling but looks more like street brawling). And I am playing FB games. Do I know how to par-tay or what??? LOVE the laughing and appreciate knowing where they are!!!

Have a good weekend everyone.

Hi, I am new to the list, but this will be our 3rd Disney Cruise! Is there a Fish Extender group for this cruise, Dream (7/10/11)? We would love to join the fun.

Thank you.

Hey everybody. Cheri, that is a priceless Saturday night. I love when I hear maniacal laughter from downstairs.

Heading to WDW this week. Turkey leg in Liberty Square for Thanksgiving Day dinner.:woohoo:

Just another way to pass time until the cruise.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

Welcome, schmidtfamily! :welcome: No one's really discussed an FE group for this cruise yet, but I'm sure we'll get something going soon. I'd even be willing to organize it if no one else wants to do it.

We bought our plane tickets to Orlando last week. :cool1: Makes the trip seem more 'real' somehow.

General question to the group, anyone have ideas on what they are doing in the Bahamas?

Thanks!
Pete

I've been to Nasau, the kids haven't. I'm contemplating at least taking them to see part of the Island, but I'd prfer to stay on the ship. Although, I have a feeling many people will be staying on the ship.

Haven't looked at the excursions yet. What were your thoughts Pete?

John

We've never been to Nassau so we are going to do the typical touristy thing and spend the day at Atlantis. Not sure if we'll book a DCL excursion or try going through Comfort Suites; with just 3 of us I'm not sure the extra hassle is worth the savings.

Not sure what we are going to do. We went on a four day cruise a few years ago and Disney had a "blackbeard" excursion, which was fun. It was a day trip to a little island near Atlantis where you could snorkel, feed stingrays, and chill, but I didn't see it offered this time. Will need to do some more research.

Thanks and Happy New Year to everyone.

Pete

Hello!!

My family and I booked this cruise while we were on the 12-18/12-29 cruise a weeks and a half ago. SO stoked to be going on the Dream, thought we'd never be able to, but the price was right!

Anyways, it's me (25), Dmother, Dsisters- 11&15, and Dbrother- 13. It'll be our 3rd cruise and don't see any stoppage anytime soon! Glad to be with ya'll on the cruise and hope to light up this thread with tons of talk in the next 6 months!!

Happy New Years to all and have a great day!

Welcome, policycobb and Cruisin'Nick! Nice to see more people joining the thread - it's been so quiet around here. (or maybe it's just that not everyone is as obsessed with planning and with the DIS boards as I am:))

We have less than 6 months to go!:cool1:

I spend my lunch hour reading everything I can about the Dream. We are in cabin 8010. I hope we have a round tub and window seat porthole.

Hello everyone! We are all booked for the July 10th cruise. This will be our 6th Disney Cruise. We have not done a Disney Cruise since 2009 so this will be out first with "older"kids. My daughter will be 9 and my son will be almost 6. They are looking to meet some new friends before the cruise on disboards.

Although we are very excited, is anyone else worried about the amount of people on the ship? The Magic and Wonder had 40 % less people and on Days at Sea those pools were PACKED along with lines to see characters.

Look forward to chatting with you all over the next couple of months.
:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Hi Soccermom-Cheri!

My daughter turns 6 at the end of this month. She is really excited about the cruise. We have been on one Disney cruise. My DD was three. She growled at the staff in the kid's club so she only went during the fireworks. She is looking forward to it this time and is a little worried about not knowing other kids.

We can't wait to ride the AquaDuck.

Is everyone still interested in the the fish extender exchange? I have been looking for ideas.

Hi Everyone!
We have three boys who will be 6, 7, and 9 at the time of the cruise. The 7 year old will be celebrating his birthday on July 15! Any ideas for what to do pre-cruise? Anyone been to Harry Potter park? This is our first Disney cruise, first ever for the boys and I am looking for tips. We booked into concierge class. Hope it is worth it! Looking forward to meeting other families with boys.
Can't wait!

I love your name! I feel like that as well. We have two boys (12 & 9 during the cruise...July 12). I haven't been on this thread in a while b/c I have been concentrating on our cruise coming up in February. We are planning on spending the week before the cruise at Disney...we just booked our timeshare through Marriott, so we have our accomodations. We haven't been to Universal since they added Harry Potter, so that could be an option as well. I sent an email to our congressman a few days ago asking about free tickets to KSC, but have yet to hear back. Hopefully that will come through so we can go there the day before we sail. Welcome to the cruise!

I was thinking of the space center too. Nice perk to get freebies. Maybe we should try, too!
We are not that into Disney, surprisingly. We like it okay, but the boys are more into Harry Potter.
I can't wait to hear from people as they take their cruise on the new ship!

I read somewhere that they will be giving out a sort of phone, but only two per family (suites get four), to keep track of each other. They used to have pagers, but now they give you two of these and charge you for the rest. We may bring walkie talkies in that case. Since we are a family of five, we will end up paying for three of the phones, I fear.

Thanks!
