July 10, 2011--DIS PEEPS reunite on the Disney Dream!

Just booked today so if the kids sports schedules don't change next summer we will be joining you! I was afraid if we waited any longer the cruise would sell out! We are from Houston...our kids will be DS 19, DD 17, DS 15 and DS 12. Can't wait!

Welcome onceuponadream.

Our thread has slowed down a lot but I am sure as cruise time gets closer there will be lot's to discuss.

Booked our FIRST Disney cruise on the Disney Dream! :cool1: We are from Long Island NY and are new to all of this... we are DH, DW, DD1, DS3. Is there a FE going on for this cruise does anyone know? Thanks and sounds like a great bunch of people we will be cruising with!

Welcome to both of you! :goodvibes Only 11 months to go now.

No one's discussed doing the FEs yet, but my family's definitely in if we get one organized!

Hi everyone!

We just booked this cruise and are sooo excited :cool1:

We are DW (me), DH, DS (9 in 2011) and DS (4 in 2011). Looking forward to getting to know everyone via the forum :goodvibes

Hello everyone. We just booked this cruise. Took me awhile to read through all the posts. Been kind of dead for a few weeks, but with what I've read so far, it won't last. I look forward to the discourse - and testing out the aquaduck!

:welcome: to all newbies!

I think I can speak for, at least, some of the Peeps. We've had a busy busy couple of months. Sometimes life gets in the way of fun stuff. I hate when that happens

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer.

Okay, I am sitting at my desk and have just spent the past hour and a half authorizing paperwork. My mind has drifted (not and unusual occurance) helped by my screen saver, which is pictures of Family Disney vacations flashing every 6 seconds. Now all I can think about is a FAB sitting poolside and watching as the ocean passes by in the distance. Alright, I'm stable again.

Thanks.

Back to work.
Take care everybody.
John

Oh, the hell with FAB, make it a vodka martini!:drinking1

Okay, page twelve now runs from June 19 through September. I gotta post and see if we can at least get onto another page.

It's looking like football season may interfere with our November trip WDW. I told DW that she and DD should go anyway and enjoy. I will stay home with DS. Coach informed him that if varsity gets into the regionals, he will be bumped from JV to varsity. DID NOT see that one coming when we originally planned the November trip.

do I get top of the page bragging rights?

To all the newbies please don't be discouraged by the lack of postings right now. (You could be posting yourselves, ya' know ;) ) At this point, the Soccermom, Soccerdad and Soccerkids are pretty busy, life has taken some interesting turns and having two teenagers is giving me gray hair.

Oh Looky! A puppy-----> :squirrel: (Squirrel!)

Yes, Cheri, you get top of page bragging rights.:worship:
I'm sure this will pick up.
Just reading one of the other threads about people switching to the Fantasy and Magic in 2012 due to the itinerary. I'm not switching. Can't wait to be on the new ship . . . and Castaway Cay twice ain't bad in the deal either.

In 2008 we did a b2b/triple dip so we were able to hit CC three times! Two days were for relaxation and the third for sports. That last day we got quite a bit of rain and the jet skis were cancelled :headache: we did get to talk to a handsome lifeguard who was trying to clear the beach:woohoo:

I really don't like the itinerary but if that's where the ship goes ...

Now I want to see photos of my stateroom.

Fred Olsen cruise line is planning a "memorial" cruise to "celebrate" the 100th anniversary of Titanic's sinking on April 8, 2012. Almost all of the cabins are sold out. The ship holds 1230 and they are going to sail with Titanic's original passenger number of 1309. If a ship has lifeboats for 1200 and is sailing with 1300... anyone else see a problem here?

won't catch me on that ship..just the "memorial" status is enough to keep me off!

Bets - gave "Scottymom" your email. She needs info on a vow renewal. I told her I knew just the person.

Have a great weekend friend. Big family wedding this weekend for us.

Count us on board as well.... will be me, DH, DD who will have just turned 20  and my DS who will be nearly 12.

Looking forward to meeting everyone - looks like a very fun crowd is assembling!

We are booked as well! DH and I plus our 4 kids DS 19, DD 17, DS 15 and DS 12. Looking forward to two visits to Castaway Cay!!

:welcome: onceuponadream :cheer2:
We have at least one 21 year old, one 20 year old, one 19 year old and one 18 year old going.

Two stops at CC is always good. One for relaxing and one for playing. Maybe Uncle Beano will take DD parasailing again if she promises not to blow out his ear drums screaming.

oh look! Not a puppy--->:cake:

based on your tickers, you are going on the Dream and then Allure the next week? Need another (ahem, older) kid?
