Going for a longshot here but is anyone one else on this program. It's kinda like the paleo diet with a few differences. I think it might just be in my region but I thought I'd ask anyways. I've been on it since Halloween.
 
Im not sure if itis explained well on the key hypnosis website. Basically you're trying to keep your body from producing a bunch of insulin since insulin is the thing that tells your body to store fat instead of using it for energy. You aviod any kind of sugar or artifical sweetener. Your body still produces insulin with artificial sweetener. Avoid fruit. Since your body turns starch into sugar you cant have things with flour or potatoes for example. You basically eat veggies and a bunch of meat. Theres a bunch more to it but that is small description. You dont have to count calories or keep track of anything.
 
Actually, I think it sounds a lot more like the Atkins diet than the Paleo. You can still have some sugars on paleo (pure maple syrup for one). You stated that the website has the word "hypnosis" in it. Is there hypnosis involved in this plan??.........................P

Only if you need it. A few of my family members have gone to a group hypnosis where the woman tells you about the diet and how your body reacts to food. She uses words and gestures during the hypnosis. I've started it without needing the hypnosis and just go by what family members tell me and other social groups that have done the hypnosis sessions. It's done in 3s sessions and she does refreshers if you need it. Even though there is a lot to remember when eating this way it's pretty simple when you get the hang of it. The only other diet I've tried is just eating healthy and trying to eat a certain amount of calories. It just got to be a pain in the neck to keep track everyday. I felt like I was obsessing over it. You eat when you're hungry, not when you're not and meat has to be the largest potion of your meals. You can't have veggies by itself. This is how I found out about mashed cauliflower instead of potatoes in recipes.
 
Yay. I'm down three pants sizes already and it's only been 2-1/2 months. 20 lbs. Going to try to get to a size 4 by our June disney trip. These last ten or so pounds are gunna be a pain in the butt. I guess I should start exercising.
 
One month after that last post and I'm down another size. Seems like I'm losing a pant size a month. Now I'm debating if I should try for a size 2 or start incorporating a potato into my meals until my pants are tight again and start the process all over again. I was very surprised it happened so quickly. I thought I was going to be dieting until my June disney trip.
 
So what do you eat? I was successful with paleo, but it's hard to get back on that wagon after getting off. Motivation is failing me at the moment
 
Meat and veggies. So I dont have bread, pasta, potatoes, beans, nuts, or fruit. It is pretty much like the atkins diet. I only drink water, tea, unflavored coffee, or a glass or two of milk. I didnt go through the hypnosis sessions but I get the general idea. Preservatives preserve fat so theyre bad. Sugar and starches produce insulin which tells your body to store fat. Your body reacts to artificial sweeteners the same way it does sugar so thats a no no. For breakfast have an omlete. For lunch a grilled chicken salad. For dinner have some spaghetti squash with meatballs or meatsauce. You want to have more meat than veggies or at least bite for bite. Ive been on the plan for 4-1/2 months and have gone from a size 12 to a 0. Im 5-1 so a zero is not extreme. I will be starting maintenance any day now so ill add in a potato a day until my my pants feel tight again then go back on the plan. Once you get that down you can add fruit or nuts for maintenance. You just need to know that sugar is a drug and its not good for your body. Ot doesnt just make you gain weight. Its also bad for your brain too. Ive heard there was a book that explained it called grain brain but ive never read it.
