Julie & Brian's Disneyland Wedding (9/2011) Sleeping Beauty Theme

Thank you so much Rebecca! That is true, the most important thing is that I am marrying my love! Weddings sure do bring out people's true colors. LOL I love having you gals to talk to.:flower3:

In other wed news, my tiara finally arrived, turns out I gave them an address that was missing a number.:rolleyes1 My bad, it is a little smaller than I anticipated, but still sparkly and gorgeous. One of the smaller rhinestones had popped out in travel, but it isn't very noticeable and i figure I can super glue it back on if need be.

I also received my cake table I DO letters. They come painted black, so I have to repaint them white. Think I am going to add a light glitter top coat also.

Lastly, my Aunt who was going to make my dress is on board with my Mother, so DF and I decided to just purchase one. I haven't decided when we are going, but I am taking my cousin and my other Aunt and we will look around soon! I am excited to have the full on experience of finding "the one"

As of now, I am just working on DIY projects, I just finished and sent out the Maiden's Manifesto- Bridesmaids Newsletter. Hammering out the details of what they will wear, what we will do and a rough timeline.

Here is what was decided...

Shoes, Steve Maden Glitter ballet flats

Necklaces are a mixture of pearls and rhinestones

Drop earrings of some kind, haven't found any yet.

So that's it for now, I am working with my gal on floral and will post pics and info when I hear back.

Julie! Where did you find those pearl and rhinestone necklaces? I love them! :goodvibes

Just came across your PJ and although I haven't read all of it, I had to post and let you know that I love your theme. I haven't seen any Sleeping Beauty themes, among my top three Disney princesses. LOL.

I started going backwards, so I saw your bm dresses which are gorgeous and fit so well with the theme especially with the different colors.. the candy station is awesome too. Love the half & half thing. The idea that pp mentioned of the chocolate fountain with the split colors was great! I also LOVE your hanger, I can't wait to order my own!!!

I will def. be following along!

Oh & I forgot to mention the tiara is awesome too. Def. Aurora-ish!! :goodvibes

Gisselle, Thank You so much! Yay!! I love all the princess: characters, but the Sleeping Beauty story has always resonated with me more so than the others. Who are your other favorites? (sidenote: I went to buy my Disney M & M's and was so bummed because for the princess ones they removed Aurora and replaced her with Tiana so I'm going to have to order something else, GRRR)

I am so excited to hear positive feedback that the theming and the details make sense to others and not just to me. :)

Yes the hangers are awesome, I am very happy with mine...can't wait to use it in pictures. :yay:

I LOVE the shoes and your jewelry!!!!!

Thanks so much Kristi! (my wedding twin)!! Can you believe that we are 6 months out in less than a week!! EEK!!

I feel like there is still a lot to do and time is running away.

Hey my wedding twin
I KNOW!!! I just told my Brian that in 6 days we have to make our dining reservations!:scared1:
Seems like yesterday I was just saying, wow its a year away and soooo long. Now I'm like, am I going to have time to get everything done??? It's flying by!!

It is so true! How time does fly when you're having fun? Or planning a wedding! Have you already decided all the places you are planning to eat? We make our ADRs on the 30th and boy we have changed them so many times. I was waiting forever to get the park hours and EMHs and finally got that so we could plan. I am only a little concerned being there during MNSSHP & F&W...but it will be enjoyable no matter what! How long are you staying? Maybe we will bump into each other! I think the hardest place to get a reservation will be either le celier or Cinderellas...have you heard anything about tough ADRs?

We've decided and re-decided about a hundred times. See, I thought I knew exactly what I wanted. And then I thought about MNSSHP and F&W, and that's more important than eating out to me! It'll be so much more fun! I'm thinking of not even making an ADR for lunch on a couple F&W days. And then the problem comes where the restaurants I want to eat at are mostly at the resorts. What if I don't want to leave the parks?? haha! So confused!
The ones I know of are Raglan Road the night before, I want Citrico's and Artists Point, Brian wants O'hana, we are doing dining with an imagineer at brown derby, 50's prime time and rose and crown for lunch 2 of the days. That's all I have! And I need to make them in 6 days...
The good thing is that it's September and lately everyone has been getting what they want for that month
Which restaurants have you guys chosen?
I really hope we do run into one another!!! That would be so awesome to see my wedding twin!!

Sounds like a great plan, F&W sounds like a lot of fun. I was thinking about trying to go to MNSSHP, do you know anything about when the tickets go on sale, or what days it takes place? Are you going to pack a costume or buy one there? So many things to think about!:scared1:

The restaurants you have chosen sound awesome! Especially the dining with an Imagineer at the Brown Derby. How fun! We are doing Raglan Road, 50's Prime Time and Rose & Crown also! Are you planning on Rose & Crown to eat while watching Illuminations? I heard that you can do that, but don't know all the details?

We keep going back and forth we have removed some restaurants and plugged in others. So hard to choose this far in advance! I am so glad that other people have been getting theirs, whew!:upsidedow

I think we are decided that the must see/do restaurants are Cinderella's Royal Table, Brown Derby, Hoop-De-Doo and our big splurge is Victoria & Alberts! So excited. We set up the gift registry so we are hoping that it will assist us in affording this trip. It's crazy when you add up all the foods. Are you doing the dining plan? Oh and btw, do you happen to know what the cancellation policy is should something fantastic during F&W come up, how far in advance must you cancel, are the penalties, etc? I am a pro at DL, but when it comes to WDW, it is really an entirely different animal and I could use any help if you have it! ;)

As far as a possible DIS meet, what days are you going to be in Epcot, maybe we will bump into each other drinking around the world or something :cool1: As I have our schedule finalized I will PM it to you and no pressure or anything, but if we happen to be in the same area around the same time, I would love to say Hi and Congrats in person! ;)

Here's the dates for MNSSHP:
http://www.easywdw.com/news/mickeys-not-so-scary-halloween-party-mnsshp-2011-dates/
And I have no idea about the costumes. I'm thinking about Jack and Sally, but I guess we will figure that out when it gets closer. And I'm definately going to buy it here and pack it. Too much going on in Disney!
I think we are also going to consider a haunted carriage ride!

And I hope we can watch illuminations during our dinner at Rose and Crown! It's kind of hit or miss. Make reservations as close to the show as possible. You'll only be able to really see it if you are outside. So when you get there, see if you can request it :)

And yes, we are definately doing the dining plan! It makes it so much easier! And it helps since it was free when we booked our trip
If you are going to cancel reservations anywhere, do it within 48 hours :) Alot of restaurants cancellation policies are different though. Those sound like great choices in restaurants though :thumbsup2

As soon as I have our schedule all finalized (hopefully in 4 days) I'll send it to you! We should definately try to meet up! And df and I are ALWAYS down for drinking around the world!

Bummer about the m & m's. Wish I had an alternative for you... :confused3
Where is it that you find the princess m & m's anyway? Is it on the m & m site? Or through Disney? Have you tried asking if you can special order them? I mean if they can add logos and different words and such maybe they can accommodate something for you?

Oh & my other two faves are Ariel and Jasmine. :lovestruc

We have the same cake topper! Aw yay I love it so much. I am so jelaous of your theme!!!! SB is the best!!! :cloud9:

The colors are great and I absolutely love your tiara and accesories. I think the tiara is a perfect shape for the theme and the jewlery is very fitting.

I think the dresses are lovely! The embrodery looks great, but I know how perfectionistic you can be as a bride to be :)

I AM SO DANG JEALOUS OF YOUR TOAST GLASSES! :love:I WANT!!!:lovestruc Those are amazing! The only ones they ever have in the parks are cinderella and her prince :( boo. The only Aurora glass they make any more is the coffee mug one. Those are so beautiful and I am turning so green with envy lol:sick:

Also, did you know etsy has a page wher eyou can put in a request for what you want made and for how much you want it made. Then people can bid on making it for you and you can choose out of them! Its a great service. I had my wedding dress hand made for me that way! It was perfect and a dream dress!!!princess:

That board LOVES wedding stuff so if you have an idea but cant find/make it just ask for it!!!!

I'm not sure if I missed whether or not you send out the save the dates but we sent out these cute magnetes with a picture of me and Prince holding signs spelling "Save the Date" they were a huge hit.

Also as gifts I always though a cute embrodered pillow would be adorable for a sleeping beauty wedding! That would go lovely with your chocolates.

And for the chocolate fountain you can die the color of the chocolate to pink and blue!!!! That would look so awesome :):3dglasses

I am so excited for your wedding that I shall re-live mine through you hehehe

Julie! I just noticed your new signature with your e-pics!!!!! They look so good!! Where can I see more????? MOAR MOAR MOAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cool! It looks as though we will be able to do MNSSHP towards the end of our trip. DF just OK'd a small extension! I had no idea about the Halloween Carriage rides, so we are going to try to do that as well!! How exciting, the things you learn about from your DISfriends!!

Unfortunately R&C was already booked for the time frame we wanted for the show, so we are going to dine, then get dessert and a place to sit for the show. I really want to do the Dining Plan, but we have to wait since we are going on a CM deal and see if it is offered after summer. I don't have time tonight, but we made our ADRs and I will have to check out your PJ to see if anything matches up. Drinking around the world or not, I hope we can squeeze ina DISmeet!:cool1:

I adore Ariel also!! Yeah it stinks, they could have just added her and had more variety, oh well, C'est la vie! Yes the M&M website has Disney, Wedding, Gold & Silver, Picture all kinds of stuff. Here is the site:http://www.mymms.com/ I will email them and see about a special order, good idea!:thumbsup2

Yay! I know when I first saw that Lenox piece I thought too perfect for a cake topper! What was your theme? Thank you so much about the tiara and Jewelry, it is so hard to find the Sleeping Beauty Kirstie Kelly earrings now. I think I found some tonight. I ordered them but we will see if they just forgot to update their site and will send me an email stating so, or if the cc actually goes through! ;)

I love the toast glasses too and it was just a lucky break that I got them when I did, not really with wedding in mind at all. I have seen some on ebay recently in case you want to add it to your saved searches. I agree that it is ridiculous that they offer almost any other character on the glasses in the park, especially Cinderella and they (arribas bros) have some copyright issue with SB? Grrrr

I did not know that about Etsy, but that is awesome!! I want to see pics of your dream dress!! I'm sure it was very princessy and magical!!:cloud9: Awesome, I am so going to ask for assistance with my candy buffet labels and stickers!

Your Save the Dates sound adorable! We sent out miniature sleeping beauty storybooks the first time, then we postponed and the new ones I will have to post. They have SB sleeping with a bubble of the prince (as if in her dreams) they say Another Year to a Steadfast Heart is but a Day. DF and I love working on computer wedding stuff together when possible, hee hee!

What a great idea, the pillows. I didn't even thing about it and I think I missed an opportunity when I got the ring pillow.

It was a great idea that was suggested about the different colored chocolate fountain. I think I am going to ask for that to be done at the shower. There is already too much going on at the wedding! LOL. I am so glad that you will be following along. :) YAY! I love any tips and advice you may have. Hope we can meet at the park soon!!

Julie! I just noticed your new signature with your e-pics!!!!! They look so good!! Where can I see more????? MOAR MOAR MOAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mindy sugar! so sorry I have been bad about getting back to you. I started working out in Lancaster with limited internet and just trying to catch up. Yes these are our old e-pics from a year and a half ago, but we are hoping to do new ones (we both look different) in May! Have you done yours yet? (Guess I will find out in a minute when I check out your PJ, lol)

Oh, DF and I ARE going to the bridal show at DLH tomorrow! Hoping to bump into you!! Did you get the free admission for Bride & Groom coupon from facebook?

OK, big hugs! Let's get together week after next if you are free. Maybe a DL day?

Hey! Congrats on the job! I'm glad you are working but sad you're now so far away from me. Yes we are going to the expo and we are taking our e-pics in the park beforehand! I hope it doesn't rain! And yes, I've gotten like 4 emails for the free admission, lol.

I hope I get to see you!!!
