I plan on taking juiceboxes and little bottles of water and cereal in my carry-on, is that a problem? Maybe it's just me, but I heard that stuff like juiceboxes can't be in a carryon because of air pressure or something like that. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

We have taken stuff like that on the plane many times. I can't imagine you having any problem.

You can bring juice boxes without worry, there will be some change in air pressure but not enough to notice.

Its a great idea to drink water and or juice during a flight because many people feel dehydrated after flying. Also, IIRC your flying with a toddler so I suggest avoiding avoid milk products for her if you can. They won't cause her to become sick but if she should have airsickness then you won't want her to have dairy if you kow what I mean!!

Last year we packed a small collapsable cooler filled with Ice Tea, juice boxes, sandwiches, fruits and snacks to put in our carry-on. NO PROBLEMS. They served soft drinks and water for free on the flights. This year we'll pack a small collapsable cooler filled with a couple of juice boxes, sandwiches, fruits and snacks to put in our carry-on bag.
Good Luck all,
Joe

Great reminder Joe -

Especially if your flying during a meal time, you will want sandwiches and snacks to tide you over.

SWA provides soda and water complimentary but not much in the way of food/snacks. If your flying during a meal time or if you like to snack pack a cooler with a few things. My dd's favorite thing to do on a flight is eat a couple snacks not usually allowed! They love ring pops, starbursts and fruit chews - all bad for the teeth but great for flying as chewing and sucking are good for releiving air pressure.

If the OP's dd still drinks from a sippie type cup that would be a good thing to bring. The juice boxes are good but a spill proof sippie is a little better. Gerber makes fruit snacks that are ok for toddlers, these can help with air pressure during take off and landing as can a lolly if you feel its appropriate for her to have one. Also my dd's do better with a little sugar in flight because it seems to help the tummy. Not too much of course or they will be bouncin ~~ :Pinkbounc and nobody wants that!!
