Juan says "BAAAA!" - 12/24 - Our last few Disney hours. COMPLETE

Henry meeting his favorite buddies is adorable! I can't imagine what was going thru his head at the time, he probably couldn't believe his eyes!

Their descriptions aren't much better than yours! :rotfl2: Seriously, the buffet looks so good! And I think you got some great shots of Wishes.

Going back to do more catch up!

I'm finally caught up!!

I love your TR's, you take just as many pics as me! Henry's getting so big! Loved the pics with the cars characters.

Henry got to meet Mater and McQueen!!! Love the picture of the three of you!

Joe not wanting to cooperate with the umbrella is too funny!

Today Joe and I were talking with Henry about the trip, going on the plane and seeing various things at "Mickey's House". The first thing he said was "Jump on bed?" because I won't let him jump on the beds at home, he wants to jump on Mickey's beds! :rotfl: That was shortly followed up with "Cars?" He is getting pretty excited about the trip!

Because he knows I post pictures all over the internet...here, Facebook, blogs, etc. he refuses to pose for several pictures...probably rightfully so...

Boy adoring Car.
Dad adoring boy adoring Car.
Mom, behind camera, adoring Dad and boy adoring Car.

Am I right? :)

You are so right about that playground - very cool, but it does get warm in there.

Is there any kind of Cars thing that Henry does not have? I can't look at anything Cars now without thinking of him. It was on TV last night, and I thought of that sweet little boy.

You are VERY right! It was a very sweet moment!

That is so cute about you thinking about Henry! :goodvibes There are soooo many Cars items he doesn't have - now if he had it HIS way that would be another story! ;)

Great updates Brook!!

Love the brownstone!!

Is Playhouse Disney the best!? We have very fond memories of all 3 kiddos there going back to 05!!

I love the picture of Joe walking away from the umbrella!!! :lmao: That would be my DH!!!!

Henry, Lightening McQueen and Mater  Ahhhhh!!! He must have been soooooooo excited! We had our own little McQueen and Mater encounter in Oct! But I haven't gotten that far on my TR :rolleyes1 Soon, I determined to get it done before we go next month!!!

BTW, Ryan has official dubbed Henry "McQueen Boy" :lmao: He catches a glimpes of him when I sneak on here while he's plays quietly and gets all excited!! "OOOOOO, McQueen Boy!!!" I think he likes seeing someone his size, some place he loves and with toys like he has!!!!

I'm very much looking forward to your meet with McQueen and Mater! I bet Ryan was just as excited as Henry!!

That is hilarious about "McQueen Boy!!!!" :rotfl: So cute! (and appropriate!)

Brooke.....

Such great updates!!!!!! I love all your pictures of the Streets of America. I rarely go back there (except for Osbourne lights), so I need to make sure I get some cool pics next visit.

How exciting for Henry to see his Cars heros in such a big way. It makes me wonder if my boys would have really been into Cars when they were little. I think so, because for a year straight Brian was fascinated with backhoes. I love the photopass pic with the three of you. It really will be so nice framed and hung.

Then Joe and the umbrella- what a party pooper! LOL! His face says it all! :rotfl:

I also love the playground. My kids were only interested in it during our first visit. After that they were just too old and "too cool". But there is so much detail there. Its one of the attractions that makes me wish I had visited Disney when my boys were toddlers.

Can't wait to hear about lunch (and squirms)!

We like to adventure through the Streets of America on each trip - there really isn't much back there, but it's kinda fun--and tons of little details that can be neat to see. This trip I am VERY much looking forward to it with the Osborne Lights! :hyper:

Oh, I bet your boys would have loved Cars just as much! It's the ultimate little boy movie! Henry is also quite the fan of backhoes, bulldozers, combines, tractors, and cranes. ;)

Cars was on last night on abc family. It was the first time we saw it. Well I didn;t watch it all, but what I saw was really cute.

It is a very cute movie, even after seeing it hundreds (or so it seems) of times...

What a magical moment! And what a great family pic.

It really was! Joe and I both like those unexpected/unplanned moments!

Great pix of Henry with Lightning and Mater. Great memory making! It will be great to look back at these pictures!

I can't believe the HISTK playground is still there. It still looks like a hit with the kids.

I have heard a rumor, more than once, that the HISTK playground will be re-themed at some point to be like Andy's Room from Toy Story. Which truly makes more sense for today's kids...even that is getting outdated too though considering in Toy Story 3 Andy is going to COLLEGE.

Regardless, yep, still a HUGE hit. I don't think most kids really realize it's related to a movie, but its just really cool.

Henry meeting his favorite buddies is adorable! I can't imagine what was going thru his head at the time, he probably couldn't believe his eyes!

He sure acted dumbfounded! He was starry eyed and so excited! I wonder if he'll just run right up to them this trip like an old buddy and pro?

Their descriptions aren't much better than yours! :rotfl2: Seriously, the buffet looks so good! And I think you got some great shots of Wishes.

Going back to do more catch up!

:lmao: That is TRUE!!

This looks like a picture from a magazine! :thumbsup2 So gorgeous!!!

I was pretty pleased with that one - such great lighting! I wish all my pics would come out that way without editing. :rotfl: It was a beautiful resort!

That's my kind of dream home, too!

I miss Playhouse Disney. :sad1: I guess I'll just have to wait for the grandchildren...:rolleyes1

A nice brownstone on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, or in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn would be perfect for me!

 your future grandkids will love it! :goodvibes

Great picture! :thumbsup2

Thank you!!

I'm finally caught up!!

I love your TR's, you take just as many pics as me! Henry's getting so big! Loved the pics with the cars characters.

Hey there! Welcome back! Glad you were able to get caught up!

Can you believe how much Henry has grown between trips?! Where do those baby years go? I'm amazed at how much your DD has grown too!! And she's just as cute as ever....:goodvibes LOVE that last pic in your siggy!

Aww, what a great moment with the cars! :goodvibes

Great pictures from HISTK playground too. We have a home video of me and my sisters in there from one of our very first trips. I remember going down that leaf slide and then those little steps...do they still make noises? My one sister was obsessed with those. She literally walked in circles on them! haha

We left off after catching GMR, and were headed for our ADR at Sci-Fi.

We did have a few minutes to wait before our time, so I hung out with Henry and the big 'ol car, while Joe did a FP run for RnRC.

Joe made it back in plenty of time and we headed in. We put our names in and sat to wait.

We waited quite a while...probably around 20 minutes. Which is not the easiest thing to do with a toddler! But we were eventually called and led to our car. They put us in the front row of an empty car. All three of us squeezed into one slot.

This was not comfortable. We aren't petite people. And Henry requires a booster, which takes up even more room. We made it work, but it wasn't great.

Our waiter came by with our menus and a drivers license for Henry.

We already knew what we were going to order - Cheeseburger, fries and a shake. Yum.

Our shakes arrived...

646557647_ctxEV-M.jpg

Vanilla for me, chocolate for Joe

646557660_y2RCM-M.jpg

And then our food.

646557641_JJPBj-M.jpg

This is Joe's - mine had cheddar cheese, but otherwise the same!

646557615_2ermE-M.jpg

I ordered Henry green beans and carrots with the pipe dream that he would actually eat them. Ha!

The service here was slow. It took a while for our waiter to appear with the menus, then again to take our order, then for our food to come. When our waiter was present, he was great - very kind, excellent with Henry.

However, Henry was not enjoying being crammed in a car between his Mommy and Da Da. He wanted o-u-t. We booked this reservation thinking he would be mesmerized by the cars and the movie clips. Ah...no....he just wanted to run around. I did let him walk with me to the restroom at one point in an attempt to get his squirmies out, but that didn't work.

So, waiting for the waiter seeming even more painful because we were also trying to juggle a toddler in that small space.

Overall, not the most enjoyable meal; however, the food was GOOD. I cannot recall if Henry even ate any of his, but Joe and I gobbled ours!

Just as we had paid our bill and were about to leave, the waiter came back with a glow in the dark cup full of caramel corn for Henry. It was unexpected and a very nice surprise!

We headed back into the sunshine with our bellies full, and aimed for TSM, it was time to use those FP's!

It was very good caramel corn, we all enjoyed it and Henry learned that day to say the word "corn". :cutie:

I don't recall how long the FP line was, but I know we didn't wait too much.

He wanted to hug the crayon.

And despite me cranking on that shooter as much as I could, Joe still managed to whip me.

And though I don't recall it at all, both my pictures and my Twitter tell me we went back to CSR for nap! I must have been really tired!

Up next: It's 482 degrees out, lets go sit in the hot sun and watch stuff explode!

And the entire dump shop...

I'm with Henry. I like all the Toy Story stuff, and I am going to be 'simply giddy' when the new movie comes out in June.

Great pictures. I am finally able to put school behind me and think about he trip, so I am ready to go! :cool1:

How cute is it that Henry is looking forward to jumping on the beds???

Tell Joe your DIS board fans would like a little more enthusiasm from him.

Sci Fi does have great burgers and shakes!!! That was so nice of the waiter to bring out the caramel corn in the nifty cup for Henry.

Great updates. Henry looked very excited to meet his buddies. My girls were not that excited with Sci-Fi either. But the apple crisp there is yummy!! We got Cayley that pig for Christmas-to add to her pig "collection"

Brook, I laughed outloud at Joe's pic with the umbrella!!!:lmao: He so wasn't feeling it......but loved it anyways that he just walked away!!!!

Sorry that Sci Fi wasn't as good as you were hoping for! But sounds like you made the best of things!! And the new cup is cool!! :thumbsup2

Can't wait to hear more!

oh how I know what you mean about a "squirmy" lunch, toddlers are not patient people. It's even worse in a small booth with slow service, minutes feel like hours. Tonight we went to PF Changs and in the middle of all of us eating our entrees DD exclaimed "MOMMY, ME DONE!" and hopped out of her booster seat lol So we all stuffed whatever we could in our faces as I gave her little toys and a secret xmas cookie I smuggled in my purse from home to keep her occupied while we dealt with our bill and wrapped up our food. Time is the enemy when dining out with toddlers. I was pretty proud of her though, she behaved well for the whole time and it's not really a kid restaurant IMO She even ate lo mein and chicken lettuce wraps!

I loved the pic of Joe at the singing in the rain umbrella! I try to get my DH to pose for pics like that too and he won't! I think it's so sweet that Joe did it even if it wasn't very enthusiastic lol

btw thanks for the compliment about DD, her xmas pics came out great, she's finally cooperative when it comes to getting pics done. Henry and my DD are very close in age, she's a sept 2007 baby too!

Awww! That is awesome that Henry got a license and caramel corn in the glow in the dark cup! :thumbsup2 Was that just something they did for you?

We have ate here twice with Aaron and neither time did he get a license or corn, oh well.

Sorry to hear you guys were all crammed in a row, I know those aren't the biggest of accommodations even for small people! The first time we ate there Aaron was in a high chair right outside the car so that was nice, but felt weird.

Isn't TSM sooo fun!:thumbsup2

you are a great photographer. Those TSM pics are pro quality fo sho.

sorry about Sci-Fi. At least you remembered the food! Also, The server probably felt bad and got you that special treat:thumbsup2

Wow I am off the net for two days and there are loads of updates!!!

Love the pics of PHD and Cars, Henry looks like he is having so much fun.
