Ooooh! I can't wait! I think we will be staying at CSR in May. I went back to the beginning and see you were in Casita 5. How did you like it? I don't think we will go to the main building often so being close isn't that important, it sounds like Casita 5 is a good spot to be near the bus stop and the dig site. I'm thinking of requesting it but might consider some of the cabanas as well. Any recommendations?

are any coca cola machines at resorts themed? I don't think I ever saw one that was.

Most of the fog was due to my camera lens fogging up because of it being cold in the room and so hot outside - it would instantly fog up! I wasn't patient enough to not take pictures. It was very humid that morning though!

Yep, I've seen quite a few themed ones at the various resorts. The one at the bus stop was themed, but not in the hallways.

I can't wait to write the TR for this coming trip! It will be so fun to relive it all! In all it's an 11 day trip, so it will probably take a WHILE to write, which is good considering it will be a while before we get another trip.

I wish palm trees grew here in MN too! I was just talking to a friend, who is from CA, about how much I love palm trees. She said when she goes to CA and the plane lands, she can see palm trees, it just relaxes and excites her - I'm the SAME way with FL!

That lobby is just amazing! I couldn't get a picture that would justify it's beauty. The grounds are flawless. Everywhere you look, it's gorgeous!! I can very easily see why it's your home.

Casitas 5 was a great location - it was a very quick walk to the Dig Site/play ground and even quicker to the bus stop. It was bus stop #2, so you were always guaranteed a seat! It had to hit the other stops before leaving the grounds, so that took some time, but we were always off quickly on the return-which we much preferred over being a last stop. The walk to El Centro wasn't bad. It wasn't a hop, skip and a jump, but maybe 5 or 6 minutes at a leisurely stroll while snapping pictures.... I just looked at the times on my pictures. The soda machine one was taken at 8:17 am. The one just as we got to El Centro was 8:24 am. So, 7 minutes while taking pictures. Joe could have made it in 5! I really liked this spot. We had originally requested Cabanas to be closer to El Centro, but this worked perfect for us.

I think you are gonna really enjoy CSR! The grounds are beautiful, every CM we met was incredibly friendly. The rooms were beautiful! The food was more expensive (doesn't matter if you do a dining plan though) - and not quite as tasty as most other resorts, but it's adequate. The pool food was the best food I had there I think.

Two updates in ONE day! Joe surprised me and took Henry to church with him tonight (Joe runs sound for the music team-they have practice), so I have a couple hours ALONE.

We left off eating breakfast at CSR, then heading out to the buses. That morning we had our sights set on DHS!

We arrived at DHS at about 9:15 am

We said our morning greetings to Bo

And then I heard some excitement from the stroller

Henry was quite excited about the giant hat.

I don't get it, but whatever!

We hoofed it straight for TSM FPs. I waited in the line, that actually didn't stretch back too far, and was able to acquire the FPs without any problem.

Okay, that's done. What now?

We started to wander and found ourselves pretty much alone on the Streets of America.

Henry spied the Cars over by LMA and had to check them out!

I recall meeting a CM around here that informed us of the first show time. He played with Henry for a bit and invited him to come back and watch the cars. It was a very sweet interaction.

We continued to wander and enjoy having the streets to ourselves.

Then we ventured into NYC.

I found me a nice lookin' brownstone and we hung out on the front stoop.

Yep, looks like home to me!

Another one for the "surfaces" thread I still haven't made it back to!

We decided to head back to the front of the park and catch Playhouse Disney.

Along the way we noticed this fountain of a mermaid...I believe it's new - or we really have never noticed it before? It's in the plaza area right by the Back Lot Tour and the HISTK playground. The mermaid is "Splash" from the movie.

And she's topless.

I get why, I've seen the movie, but is it just me, or is that a bit much for a theme park catered to kids?

Has this marquee always said "Hot Set"? It made me wonder if something is truly going on there.... I sure hope so!

We made it about 10 minutes before show time.

A wonderful show, as always! Henry shrieked, laughed, danced, clapped his hands and enjoyed every single moment!

After the show we decided we would go to the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground so Henry could play before our 11:50 ADR at Sci Fi, because we knew he'd be napping shortly after lunch.

We passed the auditions for AI

I finally spied the Writer's Stop and informed Joe they serve real coffee.

I really want to go in there at some point. Perhaps it would be a good treat to have while watching the Osborne Lights in just a handful of days...

We rounded the corner, and I suddenly saw THEM.

I poked Joe and spelled out a very well known name in this household.

We kept slowly walking...wondering just when Henry would notice...

Chances are the update will be tomorrow evening, so the cliffhanger will end. I was thinking that in these pictures especially for some reason he looked bigger too...but compared to now, I still see baby in those pics!

We really enjoy the Streets of America, even though there really isn't much to do - it's just fun to wander and enjoy it!

It's fun to do one of those cliffhangers once in a while. But, I can't imagine this one is too hard to figure out!

No third update tonight...I don't think anyway! Gotta head downstairs and finish wrapping the presents. I should get to bed at a reasonable hour, tomorrow is a busy day - got a play date, gotta do grocery shopping for Christmas and the trip!

I can hardly believe we are in the single digits!!! It's exciting and frightening at the same time.

The mermaid fountain has been there for as long as I can remember.

CSR is slowly creeping up in my list of places to stay. It looks so beautiful and relaxing and the lobby area loks AMAZING!
