Can anybody who has visited the parks recently give me an idea of what kind of lines to expect for Joy and Sadness? Or is there an app that shows their wait (I don't see them on Touring Plans or MDE)?

My son has requested to meet 4 characters on our trip and Joy and Sadness are two of them. We had planned on Epcot being our late morning, so I didn't plan on being there for rope drop so I would like to meet them sometime later in the day (anytime between 11 am and 8 pm)...however if it means waiting in a hour + line I might rethink our plan.

We are visiting Epcot on April 20th and TP has it as a "3" for crowd levels.

I was there this past Sunday around 12:30 pm and got in the line without seeing or asking about the wait time. It ended up being just over an hour wait. They are SO cute, though, I swear I almost teared up when I saw them. I hope you can work out your schedule to see them.

The line is averaging between 45-90 minutes, late EMH nights are expected to be shorter waits. Since we're still within the first couple of weeks, a good chunk of the line is CMs and APs, give another week or so and you may see a shorter wait.

We will see them! My 4 year old is in love with Inside Out (and who am I kidding, so am I!)...just trying to figure out if there is a "best time" to visit them besides rope drop or if I should make an effort to be there for rope drop.

Does anyone know if you have a FP for the Character Spot at EPCOT, does that include Joy and Sad?

We're hoping there's a way to estimate their wait time based on the Character Spot wait times. If we can get that, we'll put it in the app. (And thanks for using it!)
they are 2 different lines wait times would not be the same. Character Spot wait time will not help you guess Inside Out wait time

We met Joy and Sadness this past Friday afternoon, and I had posted on a previous thread about our experience. We did MK in the morning and park hopped to EPCOT for the remainder of the day. My 4 year old had no desire to do any of the other "toddler-friendly" attractions like Nemo or Crush after she rode Figment/Journey into Imagination. She was more than willing to wait for Joy and Sadness. They do not accept FP for Joy and Sadness as it's a different area than the Character Spot. They allowed strollers in line, so my 4 year old sat in the stroller the entire time and ate a lollipop while she waited. The CM told us it would be about a 60 minute wait, and she overestimated the time and it ended up being 40ish minutes or so. For us, it was well worth our time to wait those 40 minutes as opposed to squeezing in Nemo/Crush in that same timespan. The character interaction was one of the best throughout the entire trip- the line took a long time, because both Joy and Sadness both did a great job interacting with people.

Would you mind sharing your experience? These characters don't talk right? Just wondering what type of interaction it would be and if it would be worthwhile for us.

Thanks!!
