Journey time to Honeymoon/Caladesi Island

Hi!

Does anybody know where I can find directions from WDW (Polynesian Resort) to Honeymoon Island, Clearwater? We are planning on taking the boat from there to Caladesi this August.

Also, how bad will the traffic be in mid-August? I'm guessing really bad! Any estimations on how long the journey is?

depends upon the construction along I4.

if you have addresses just use mapquest.

use WDW for the Polyn - for some reason it doesn't know where Seven Seas Lagoon is?

If the construction is not to bad - it should be around 2 hours - maybe a little more.

there is a florida site that tells about on going construction - I will see if I can find it again.

So, is it about a 2 hour drive to St. Petersburg or Indian Rocks Beach? If we left early in the morning, would we beat some of the traffic---say around 7ish?

It depends if it is a weekend or weekday and what way you are going. (to or from Disney)
To get to St Pete or IRB it could be a little over 2 hours depending upon your starting point.

Honeymoon Island is in Dunedin, so if you have looked at mapquest or anything and couldn't find it that maybe why.
It will probably run you about 2 hours give or take a few.
