i love JTA, it is wicked fun, it is a lot like spash mountain,
you go through a thing which kinda tells a story, and go through some little drops, do a medium drop, and then do the really big drop, and after, u think its all done and it does a few turns like a rollercoaster, it is very fun,
you get wet sometimes, when i did it, (about 5 times) i got a little splashed, but not soaked
Depending on how full the boat is loaded, or how much weight is in it, the entire front seat gets DRENCHED! First time I rode this a few years ago, it was just me in the front, my mother behind me. (Very slow that morning, they weren't filling the boats, I think they hold 3-4?) Anyway, at the bottom of the final drop, just after the boat leveled out, and the big splash came up, the whole front nose of the boat went under, spilling all that nice freezing cold water into my lap! Now, I'm a pretty good sport, but I'm telling you my denim shorts and sneakers were waterlogged for the rest of the day - and this was at 9am. Lesson learned, keep feet up, and don't wear denim to SW.
We love it! It may be the most enjoyable water ride of any theme park we've been to. The surprise "roller coaster" ending really sets it apart. But like a poster said, dress to get wet because you will. NO jeans. You'll be wet and miserable the rest of the day. Have fun!!!
yea, i dont like rollercoasters at all, and im even afraid of drops, but i love JTA, the rollercoaster ending isnt that bad at all, its just a couple twists (u dont go upside down or n e thing) but it was really fun. it took me an entire week at SW to get on JTA, and on the last day i was there i decided to go on it, and i loved it, i was scared, but it was really fun, i cant wait to go on it again
I agree with everything that has been said! This is one of my favourite rides and has very special memories of our first family holiday in Florida. We were laughing so much when we got off we were crying! All except my 10 year old who sat in the front and was absolutely drenched! Her sense of humour failure just made it all the funnier for the rest of us! Brilliant!
I was just there on Saturday and rode Atlantis for the first time. My friend and I were the only one's in the boat, we sat in the third row and barely got wet. Also, I only remember the one big drop outside, which didn't seem bad at all. I think the Splash drop is worse. There was a small drop in the roller coaster part at the end. But the roller coaster part lasted like 10 seconds and wasn't bad. Just surprising, seeing as how we thought the ride was over.
