Journey back to ME!!- I'm getting bugged!!

Hi Julie. Thanks for stopping by my journal. I hope your garage sale goes well today. Have a great weekend!

Hi Julie,
Hope you sell that washer and dryer! Garage sales can be very trying sometimes! But worth it to make some money right? Hope it goes well today and that the rest of your weekend is good!

Garage Sale is done and the bug is back in. Sold the Washer.....YIPPEE!!!! :cool1: For $75, which is fine with me. Made a total of $257+, so I was happy. Everything is now boxed waiting for next Friday to set it back up for the neighborhood sale which is 8 - 1 on Saturday. A realtor sponsors, pays for advertising & has a 'shoppers game' where people collect colored stars, turn in forms & they draw for prizes. Last year was lots of different electronics + a $500 gift Certificate. They do this in 4 different neighborhoods. I'll also clean out some more before then.

This morning DD and I ran to get Krispy Kremes. I also ran to Starbucks for Breakfast. Didn't eat any donuts which is really hard for me (I used to eat a dozen at a sitting easily) The dont' even look appealing.

Food Journal day 3-

Coffee(6)
4 lt bread(2)
deli beef(1)
deli ham(1)
spinach, tomato, peppers, mustard(0)

64 tea, 64 water

7 min abs

This is going to be a really rough week for me w/ DH gone M - Sa. I have to get DS19 up each morning at 4:45 for work and take him. DS16 has to leave for work at 6:20. DD has dentist on Monday and Eye Dr. on Thursday. I haven't been to the gym in over a week and I REALLY need to get back. DS16 has ACTs on Saturday morning and I have the GSale on Saturday morning. Next week is also my last full week to list Ebay until I'm back from Florida the end of July. The running & getting everything done won't be so bad except for the lack of sleep I will be getting. When I'm only getting about 5 hours of sleep it's REALLY hard to get motivated to exercise, or get much done. Will try, though.

Off to get some things done around here & start laundry....Hope to visit more journals tonight.

Wow Julie,
Big CONGRATULATIONS for not eating Krispy Kremes! I too can eat about a dozen of those in one sitting. Hang in there with the crazy schedule, just do the best you can, because thats all any of us can do. Have a great week, glad you made some $$ on your garage sale and unloaded the washer!

Today is kind of laid back for me - hopefully. I let everyone sleep - watched our church on live videocast on the net peacefully in my pjs while having my coffee.

DS16 promised to have the 1st half of his English journals submitted today as well as Exam 4 & 5. Time will tell......

I've been starting on the packing lists for Florida as this is the week I finish digging out the suitcases. 31 days & counting(hopefully very fast!)

DH leaves in the morning for GA, so there's a bunch of little things he has to get done today which he's grumbly about, but he could have done them before today, so I have not much sympathy. One is submit our medical to the Flex account (it's only available on his work network, so I can't do it) as there is over $500 which I'm waiting to get back.

DS19 was changed to the 7 - 4 schedule, so it's a bit better for mornings, but on Saturday he works at 10, and my Garage Sale starts at 8. I'm not comfortable leaving DD home alone for the 15 - 20 min it takes to run him, so I'm not sure what I'll do. Still no news on his car. DH ordered an almost $1000 engine over 2 wks ago and hasn't called to check to see if the local place has received it yet, or to see if it has been shipped. I'm having nightmares about having to cancel FL because of this!!

Food Journal day 4 -

2 lt buns(2)
2 ff hot dog(2)

We ended up going to a movie yesterday - DD & I saw over the hedge, DH & DS16 saw Xmen. I had a pretzel - they were packaged w/ nutrition info!! - w/ mustard & then had a bit of my popcorn I brought from home & a bottle of water.

Later, during more DS19 Drama I won't go into(about my 5th verizon cell he LOST, but apparently loaned a not so nice person), I had a lt bagel w/ rf pb & fruit spread & a ff hot dog. I decided I'd better do something constructive with my remaining 7 points instead of reaching for sweets/junk as I wanted to.

Hi Julie,

Glad to hear that your garage sale went well and that you got the washer sold! :thumbsup2 I hope that you have a great week this week. Sending some pixiedust: your way.

Take care!

Hi Julie,

Congrats on getting rid of the washer!!! That is great! Sounds like you did a really good job at the garage sale!!! I can relate with your DD and her knee pain. When I was in HS I hurt my knee and they pretty much told me the same thing. Just pain, deal with it. Then later on I dislocated it and then they realized that I don't have any cartligde in my knee. But that is for a different thread! Hope your DD is starting to feel better with the pain.

Sorry to hear about the issues that your DS16 is having at work...does not seem fair what they are doing. Hopefully everything will work out and be okay!

Keep up the great work!!! You are doing a wonderful job!

Happy Monday :)

DS16 was off to work at 6:15, DH left for airport at 6:00, DS19 I took to work at 6:45. Off and running. I came home & did my abs, waist & WATP 5 mile as I imagine I won't have time to later.

Need to get DD up & moving for her dentist appt, pay bills, then later I have to pick DS19 up at 4, then take DD to fencing during which I'll go to Sam's & Costco & get some walking done in the AC and pick up a couple of things I need and get gas. DS16 has ninjutsu at 7, but the weather's good so he can ride. After all that I need to Ebay as I'm done as of the 15th, and get a billion pounds of recycle smashed & the cans out for tomorrow morning.

I have no idea what food will be today, but I WILL stay w/in my points!!

Julie, your schedule is unbelievable! You do an amazing job keeping it all together. Congrats on getting your workout done in the morning. :cheer2:

So sorry that your son lost your phone! Thats aggravating. I hope things calm down, at least a little bit, for you. I know that with my 17 year old things are always up and down. Last week he lost his wallet - 4 days later he found it! He'd left it in his friend's tackle box when they went fishing. Why he didn't check there on the first day he lost it I'll never know!

Have fun packing for Florida!

Hi, Julie! Wow, I came to catch up on your journal and didn't realize how long I had been away. Sorry!

You have So much going on right now! I am amazed at your stamina! I would have collapsed long ago if I tried to do as much as you do. :faint: And you still manage to find time to not only journal, but visit other journals! You will be my inspiration as I strive to do better at finding the time to keep up to date on everybody's journals. :worship:

I am glad your yard sale turned out ok over the weekend. We live on a dead end road w/ No traffic so we gave up on yard sales years ago. Hope you do well on the upcoming one as well. :sunny:

I think reading your journal makes me realize how busy my mom must have been when we were younger. I have 2 sisters and my mom always took us everywhere. We didn't do a lot of extra curricular activities, but I'm sure we ran her ragged anyway. I look forward to having kids, but I don't look forward to that period of time. At least Dh has put a cap on how many kids we can have... he says 2 is the max unless we have triplets first or twins on the second try. :lmao: So that will be one less rugrat to transport. :teeth: I am sorry that they don't see how much you do for them on a daily basis. I hope that you will enjoy your Florida vacation and spend some time taking care of yourself while you are gone! :beach: You deserve some good rest, relaxation, and pampering!

You have been doing an excellent job of staying within your points! And the way you find time to squeeze in your exercise even when you can't get to the gym is Awesome! :cheer2: Keep up the good work! :cheer2:

Have a Great week!

Thanks, Foxfire! Yep, I'm busy, but I'm a person who can't sit still. Drives my DD nuts if she wants me to watch a movie with her and I have to be doing laundry, making lists for the next day, cleaning, or something. I just can't sit & do nothing - gives me the guilties!

Today was another 'GEE, now what' day. DS16 finally received the lights he bought for his cycle so it glows blue. And, while installing them, he dropped a wire & shorted out the fuse. So while I was at fencing a friend of his drove him to try to find a fuse & they couldn't. I get to try to hunt one down today - the car place said they were like Christmas light fuses(in July, right!).

Meantime, his cycle has loose wires hanging from it, so I had to get him up at 5:30, DS19 up at 5:45, left at 6:15 to take DS16 to work one direction, back by 6:45 to put out recycle & take DS19 to work. Then I get to repeat it this afternoon picking them both up. UGH!!!!

DH arrived in Savannah only to find that the Travel Agency his work uses reserved his car in Atlanta, reserved his hotel in Atlanta. He finally got it all straightened out, then tried to call me via cell and his phone wouldn't get service (did last time he was there). So, he uses the hotel phone at $2.85/minute to call me and have me try to tell him how to make the cell work. DUH, Call VERIZON!!!!!! He was mad I couldn't call them for him & magically fix it. Oh well...... He finally called the Engine place & they haven't even received the engine for DS19 car that DH bought 2 weeks ago, so they certainly haven't started installing. So, the FL trip is still in up in the air.

Anyway, today I have to try to find DS16 a fuse, Ebay, get my upstairs back under control, Clean spots on carpet, etc. Hopefully I can get DD to really help a bunch, but her knee hurt after fencing last night plus her PMS time, so it may be rather futile.

I REALLY want to make the gym today, but I'm having doubts looking at my schedule. I'll at least get in WATP 5 if nothing else. I'd really like a nap, but I don't see that happening either.

Food Journal Day 6 - 29 days til Florida!! -

lt Bagel(2)
EggBeaters(2)
ChickFilA grilled sandwich(5)
hershey snack bag (1)
ice cream(4)

2 pt bar(2)

Holy Moly Julie!!! You're schedule is crazy!!! But you do have you have to huh???

Keep up the great work!!! You are doing a great job!

Have a great Tuesday :)

Well, at 29 days til Florida, I think the trip is most likely off.

After much nagging, DH finally called the car place here where DS19 car is to see if the engine has arrived. Should have last week at the latest. Not here. Finally late this afternoon, I told him to call the Company in CA he ordered it from(and already charged the CCard) to see where it is. They don't even have one yet!! Said they sold us an engine they didn't have, then the price went up so they've been hunting for a cheaper engine. MIGHT get one in tomorrow(6/7), then "when they get to it" will take 3 - 4 days to check & see if it's going to work. If so, they can then begin arranging shipping to ABQ. If not, they start the search over again. So, the very earliest it could possibly be in ABQ is 6/19. Then the place here said they only install in the order they get them, so don't know where on the list we will be. Likely to be done before the 4th of July weekend in 18 business days. I don't think there's a snowballs chance in H@#L!

DH suggested a taxi 2x day to take DS19 to work - we live so far out it would be over $70 each way. Then he got mad at me because I don't know anyone who can be flexible and take DS19. Suggested DS19 could just take off during the time we're gone - not if he wants a job. Or could take his vacation - doesn't have any. Can't risk DS19 job on a teenager who wouldn't be reliable, either. So, DH suggested we just leave him our van (w/o insurance) to drive. NOT - if there's a problem we would lose our insurance & could be sued. And, can you picture 4 of us and luggage for 2 weeks in my BUG going to the airport 45 min away?????

So, needless to say I'm not in a good mood, can't focus to get anything done, and want to eat, Eat, EAT!! (I'm not though, but I really think food would help!)

Didn't get WATP done today, didn't get the house cleaned.....Oh well.......

:grouphug: Julie,

I hope it works out for you where you can go to Florida. ::yes:: I know how much you have been looking forward to this trip. Are there any other companies that have motors for your DS's car? What about cancelling the order for the motor and looking for a reliable used car instead? In any event, I really hope everything works out for you, Julie. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. :grouphug:

Morning, Tracy! Went through all those options w/ DH before he tells me this company that came 'VERY highly recommended', his contract when he paid is no return, no cancellation, if you return a 25% restock fee, and they have no date when they need to ship by. Made my day, let me tell you! So, their engine is our only hope or be out another $1k.

My morning started out great, too. Stepped out of bed into a 'present' a dog left for me. Then DS19 appears & says he slept on the couch because friend S had a fight w/ her live in boy friend and she slept in his room. Then he tells me my upper lip is really swollen/protruding. I knew my nose/sinuses felt funny, but swollen? Ain't life grand some days?????

:grouphug: Julie,

I know that you said there would be a 25% restock fee, but they don't even have the motor yet! There isn't anything to restock is there? :confused3 Is there a way that you can delay the delivery of the motor until you get back? Does he have any friends or relatives that could take him to and from work? I hope I'm not being too nosey. I really want to see you go to Florida because I know how much you are looking forward to it. I am saying prayers that this all works out and that you still get to go. :grouphug:

Yep, restock when they don't even have the engine. Nearest Relative is about 18 hours away. None of his friends are reliable enough, plus DS19 schedule changes weekly and he doesn't know until Saturday's when he works the next S - Sat. Can't risk his job(he's lost the last 3 & this job took almost 6 mo to get) on someone unreliable. I feel STUCK!!

I still have no good news about the Florida trip. DH of course is 'no big deal, you just will have to stay home & drive DS19 to work'. It is a big deal to me.

This has been a miserable week, I've spent most of it in a big, blue funk, crying. None of them understand that I'm in this house, my job, basically 24/7/365. What keeps me going is things to look forward to. Cancelling this trip, while DH still goes, is like a big slap in the face, plus, there is nothing looming on the horizon to look forward to. Probably dumb, but, how would DH like to live in his office at work? Like me here, he'd constantly be finding things that need done and not get any feeling of time off.

I've managed to stay OP & journaled on paper all week, I used 7 FPs one day, but that's all I've used, so I'm still ok. No clue what this stress will do to my weight, but I haven't been able to exercise, at all. Too bummed and no motivation.

A decision has to be made before Friday morning about the trip as I will have to overnight DD's final payment for SW camp then - I really don't want to lose that much money and it's non-refundable. Things aren't looking too optimistic.

Neighborhood GSales were today. I got rid of the tramp & made just over $106. Not bad considering there were over 50 sales.

Took DD to the eye Dr for new contacts last week. Our ins. is only good every 2 years, so it was over $500 - OUCH!! Lasik is looking better & better.

DH got home last night - flight landed at 8:15, he walked in at 9:30 and didn't speak to any of us, went right to sleep and has slept most of the day. I guess co-teaching 7 hours a day was exhausting from the looks of things.

I want to go to sleep NOW, but he's slept almost 24 hours & the TV & lights are blaring. I've managed 4 - 5 hours/night the last week. And last night DS19 calls at almost midnight for me to come get him in the next little town on the reservation as he was at a friends and the person who was to bring him home left. So, I got to get up, dress, & drive for 30 min. Then of course, the dogs thought they needed out when we got back. So I got to bed at 11:30(DS16 had ACT's this morning & couldn't find his wallet/DL for ID), up at 12, back in bed at 1:30, then up at 5 for the Garage Sale Set Up.

Is it any wonder the bags under my eyes now have full sets of matching luggage???

Tomorrow I have to get DS16 back on finishing up school - he took this week to study for the ACTs. This was his 1st attempt. Said most of the people there it was there 3/4th time and they were hoping to get an 18. WOW!! Said most of them didn't finish the reading sections as they read too slow. But, this in NM!!! Pretty Sad!! The avg 12th grader has a 6th grade reading level. DD has a fencing patch on her backpack that says 'Death before Dishonor'. Most of her classmates couldn't pronounce 'Dishonor' & none knew what it meant.

Off to potty dogs, start another load of laundry and hopefully SLEEP sometime in the near future.

Julie,

I think you need to go to Florida. You do so much for so many people and this is a vacation away from the busyness of life. Are you going to visit family in Florida? Going to WDW/ US? You really need this break. Can your DS take a bus to work? I know you said that taxis are too expensive.... I am praying that this works out for you because you definitely can use a vacation. :grouphug:

Please try and get some sleep..... I am so proud of you for staying OP despite all of the stress! Way to go, Julie! :cheer2:

Please be sure and take a day off... to think, to relax, to let go. You need some well-deserved Julie time. :grouphug:

Sending prayers and :wizard: your way from Ohio. Take extra special good care of you. :grouphug:

Oh, no Julie! I hope you don't have to cancel your Florida trip!! pixiedust: pixiedust: Sending lots of pixiedust your way hoping things will work out for you! pixiedust:

You are doing an awesome job by staying OP through all this stress! :cheer2:

I would KICK my Dh if he said too bad, you'll just have to stay home! You should give him a good butt kicking! :cool1: (closest thing to kicking ;) ) I really hope you get your vacation! You really deserve it! :goodvibes

Take care of yourself!
