Hello, we are booked for our 2nd cruise July 28th and we are thinking of booking the JVD Beach day. Does anyone know how long we are actually at the beach?
Thank you

Are they even going to Tortola at that point? Seems like most people for the summer are still reporting an itinerary change to St Maarten.

I know JVD is back open, although they are still running on power generators. Not sure DCL will be headed to Tortola, though.

Interesting. I guess I’ll have to wait and see. I wanted to make our reservation at check in. Maybe I should wait If I do make the reservation we don’t end up going they would refund us right? Lol

If they don't go you will not be charged. I'd go ahead and book it if it's available at check-in and cross my fingers.

Thank you guys, I just spoke with DCL and they said there haven’t been any changes to date :)
Do you guys have any idea on how long we are actually at the beach for?

It's about 45 minutes in each direction with the boats they use, so figure 90 minutes will be in transit. Look at the times for the excursion and you can work it back from there. If it's like most DCL beach excursions, you'll get 2-4 hours on shore.

If you do get to go and do this excursion, please post how it was. We're booked to go to Tortola Jan 2019 and this is the excursion I'm most interested in doing.
Thanks

We did this last June and it was AMAZING. We traveled without our kiddos for that trip. We had about 4 hours on the beach and it was one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen. I was very hesitant at first given the cost and the times of the excursion but I would not hesitate to book again.

I would book it just in case, if I were you. It sold out pretty early on our cruise.

Wow! Thanks! I’m so excited now!! Yay. I will for sure book this.

My sister and I did this excursion in Nov 2016 - loved it!!! We were on the beach for about 3 1/2 to 4 hours. The lunch served was very good, we lounged about, swam in the beautiful water, bought some drinks from the Soggy Dollar - JVD was one of the highlights of our trip! :thumbsup2

I’m debating if we should stay onboard during our stop in St. Thomas. Have any of you ever stayed onboard?
We will be getting off in Tortola for the JVD Beach Day but I don’t see anything that catches my eye in St.Thomas.
Thanks for your input.
