No men in jorts. My friend caught her DH making a homemade pair, and she threw them in the garbage.
Lol!!!

Why does the material used to make shorts matter? I don't see the difference between denim that is blue and a cotton blend that is various colors. Who cares really?

I have some Jean shorts I still wear occasionally. They were in style when DW bought them for me & they still fit. I'm 48, so I could give 2 flips about fashion.
I'm also glad for shorter shorts making a comeback. I won't wear them super short (like I did in the 80's & 90's), but it's nice being able to find shorts & trunks that aren't essentially capris. IMO, right at the knee while standing, knee fully exposed while sitting is "just right".
I probably wouldn't care about fashion either but my wife does...and if I'm out with her (or even alone and people know me/her/us)...yeah, she helps to dress me, or at least makes sure I have modern styles to wear.
I'm with you on the length too. Anything that sits AT my mid thigh is too short, for me. I like my shorts (both swim and regular) to sit at just above my knee.
This thread is about jean shorts. If you want to talk about knickers, start a new thread, but I think you'll find even fewer takers.I thought this was a tongue-in-cheek thread? No need to get your knickers in a twist over a pair of jorts!!
I like jorts, but Im old , and even with that im a bit sub conscious cause I know of all the hate for them
Or they're literally from Bermuda. Seriously, Bermuda shorts started out as business attire in Bermuda, where of course black dress socks were the norm. That's like wearing black dress socks with shorts. The only guys who do that just don't know any better.
I cannot understand why the big deal about jean shorts on men. Men why jeans..why not jean shorts? And I happen to love the newer shorter swim trunks. Especially if a man has great legs. Those models above look wonderful. I don't get why any man would want to wear swim trunks down around their knees. That looks weird and seems like all that wet fabric would be very uncomfortable.
I'm still trying to get past anyone calling denim shorts "jorts"
Where do you people live that denim isn't acceptable?
