Joni & Friends Family Retreats--location???

Last summer Christian and I attended the JAF retreat in Flat Rock, NC, which was fabulous. This year schools starts back before the retreat so I'm thinking about goin to a different location.

There is an early July retreat in Leesville,FL and a late July retreat in Crossville, TN. Those would be the closest ones, other than Flat Rock,NC. I"m a little leery about goin to central FL in July--hot hot hot! BUt I'm not so sure TN would be a lot less sticky. I live near Atlanta and it gets plenty hot here.

If you've been to one of these camps or know someone who has, let me know what you think.

I know someone who's gone to the San Diego? (I think that's where it is, it's somewhere in CA) one and really enjoyed it. I'd love to go. Maybe next year... I won't be far enough along in recovery from surgery to attend this year.

I have been to TN in April/May and it was HOT, HOT, HOT and Sticky!!! But then again, I'm from the NW, so I'm not really used to it...
