No, one does not. Cops and so called other authorities love to close cases, quite often making the innocent into criminals. How many times have we seen tapes of cops bullying people into confessing? Making them go without sleep and food, etc.? While it is true that the number one killer of children is their own parents, stranger abductions and murders are on the rise. This case was totally compromised from the beginning.
I had a personal experience, not to this magnitude, but where my wallet was stolen and someone used my checks and credit cards many years ago. The so called cops where so busy trying to pin it on me, I had to end up going to court to clear my name. After the fact, they found the real perpetrators who had gone around pick pocketing people and going on shopping sprees. I was not the only victim, they just wanted to close the case and since I lived in a very poor neighborhood, I of course had to be a criminal, although I had no record not even a speeding ticket and continue to have a clean record. I still have credit issues because of this fiasco, although it is much better than it was and this happened almost 15 years ago.
