JonBenet Ramsey - a question for those who follow this story

But I also want to know if pineapple was served at the party, &, if that's been told, I've never read it or heard it.

Mr White said he "could not recall" if pineapple was served. I thought that was odd, then I realized it was likely a catered affair. I'm sure with so many details going into a fancy party like that, it's reasonable that he wasn't sure if there was pineapple, or maybe fruit salad with pineapple, or maybe glazed ham with pineapple garnish . . . or a thousand other possibilities.

I have no idea how accurate this is, but supposedly the alarm wasn't on http://www.re-newsit.com/p/the-bonita-papers-are-unedited-notes-of.html

Thanks for the info. That's surprising, and too bad really. On one of the shows, they demonstrated how easy it would be to get into the house through the basement window.

I haven't followed the story that closely and am realizing now just how complex a case it is. I think there are some elements that logically lead to the intruder theory and others that strongly point to the family.

John comes across in interviews as sincere, and a likable if not charming guy, but I'm not 100% convinced he wasn't involved. I think he is someone who can remain calm, cool and collected under stress, yet that doesn't explain his guilt or innocence.

What a shame that the police screwed up so badly and the media circus has detracted so much from solving the crime.

::yes::

I don't sleep nude, but I don't wear pajamas either. Normally it's underwear and a camisole. So when I get up I throw on clothes.

Yeah, I get that, but yesterday's clothes? Why not sweats or a robe? Other than jeans, I don't wear my clothes multiple times before washing them. Wasn't the party they attended a fancy Christmas shindig? I would guess she wore something glamorous given her style and social place. Again, not saying this makes her guilty or involved, I just think it's a head-scratcher.

My assumption is the police asked her for the clothes that she was wearing the night of the party. The thought being that she wore the clothes to the party, came home, killed her daughter, got all kinds of blood on those clothes and now they wanted to test them. Unfortunately for them, she was wearing the clothes which were clearly not stained with blood. How does one cause an 8" gash on their child's head and not manage to get even a single drop of blood on their clothing? That tells me one of two things. Patsy planned in advance to kill JBR. She changed clothes, killed her, and then hid or destroyed that clothing and put her clothes on from the night before. Or, she didn't do it!

JonBenet's head wound did not bleed - only internally.

Since we are basing what is weird on what we would or wouldn't do, I don't think its a head scratcher at all that she had on the same clothes.
I'm going to assume that she put on those clothes right before the party and wore them for just a few hours of the day. They had plans to travel the next say, so putting on something you only wore for a few hours the day before doesn't seem strange to me. Maybe she didn't want to leave a bunch of dirty clothes at the house, or maybe she just figured what the heck, they aren't really dirty anyway.

Is there enough objective evidence to support either of those two possible scenarios? If not, either possibility is about as valid as anything written by students in a creative writing class given an outline and some prompts from which to write an assignment.
The point is, there are reasonable explanations for both the pineapple and fingerprints, and to still believe that a family member was responsible.

Eh, everyone is different. I tend to get up, throw on yesterday's outfit, take DS to school, do some housework or yard work in the already dirty outfit, then shower around 10-11 and change into fresh clothes for the remainder of the day. I don't want to clean in my robe--which i would like to remain clean, or go in the yard, drive DS to school or answer the door if someone came by (post, etc) in a robe or the PJs I don't own or wear to bed---nor do I want to get my "to be worn out for the day" clothes dirty and sweaty doing chore before I even leave the house.

I think it's strange. I stay in my sleepwear until it's time to change...I thought most people did that? Taking off your PJs to put on what you were wearing the night before, just to change again? I don't know, seems odd to me
You assume I was wearing PJs. Only 25% of my family wears PJs. The other 75% put on what they were wearing the night before, generally.

Can someone tell me what the 3 part special is called and what network it is on? Thanks.

Not the Dr.PHil one LOL

I think it's on the ID channel......at least what I was watching is and that's not the Dr. Phil show.

As far as all these theories with the pineapple, I don't really see a 6 year old getting out of bed in the middle of the night in a big house like that and going downstairs to get herself a snack. Not sure what I think but I would think she'd be afraid to get up and roam around in the middle of the night, you know how kids are with being afraid of the dark and monsters and all that.

I didn't really follow this case 20 years ago because the stage I was in in my own life and being busy with having kids, but now that I'm reading this thread I don't know what to believe?? It's very perplexing.

Hopefully at some point in the future it will all be solved as the little boy who was abducted in MN 30 years ago.
The house wasn't big to her....it was normal. Her normal. Some kids would never leave their bed and some would wander around freely. Kids differ. When DD was 3 or so, we had to put a lock on our pantry, because she kept getting up in the middle of the night to raid it and eat every bottle of sprinkles I had in there. And she really wasn't an adventurous kid. Just wanted sugar. Pretty sugar. JonBenet seemed liked a fairly confident, outgoing child, so walking to the kitchen to get something to eat may not have been a stretch for her. Or maybe she had a couple of bites if pineapple garnish at the party. Who knows?

And I often put on clothes from the evening before, until I take a shower, so clearly I have murderess potential.

Sorry, I don' understand... you were wearing nothing and put on what you wore the night before, or you slept in what you wore the day before?

I didn't know that. Thanks for that info.

If Patsy did cause that initial head wound, I would still think she would be concerned that at least a drop or two of blood got on her somewhere. I'm assuming Patsy didn't make a habit of murdering people and the logical conclusion when you bash someone in the head is that there might be some blood. I'd think the last thing she'd want to do was to continue to wear the clothing she wore to kill her daughter. If Patsy did this, she had HOURS of time to come up some ideas. She didn't have a clue that the police would screw it up so much so one would think she would have taken a few minutes to put the pineapple down the garbage disposal and the bowl in the dishwasher, make sure the flashlight wasn't left sitting on the counter, wash JBR bedding, and put on some fresh clothing and wash the stuff from the night before just in case.

Exactly. I think the fact that she was in the same clothes makes her look less suspicious.
