jon and kate

She had a tummy tuck a LONG time ago, it was on the show. A woman that watched the shows husband did it...and then another person felt sorry that Jon didn't get anything done, so they got him hair plugs.

Oh, I must have missed that show. That's nice of that man to do that for her. Her belly was really stretched.

My personally opinion is that all women who have a baby should be sent home with a voucher for a lift, fill and tuck to be done at a later time... :p

People keep saying its a good thing the show is going on hiatus, but I don't think TLC is doing it out of the goodness of their hearts, I think its because they don't have enough filmed to put together a show. Its now the end of June and they will begin shows again Aug 3. For them to have a show ready that quickly between filming and editing, they will have to start filming soon which means the family really isn't getting a break.

and so it continues... yet another freebie. Why am I not surprised?:rolleyes1

I thought that was so they could outfit it with lights for taping. I wonder too, if these freebie's are part of the contract payment, and I would assume that they need to pay taxes on them. I thought at one time I had read that they were paying for some of the house, but someone else said no. I also thought they said they would have an outhouse (TLC) just for them, for the camera crew at the PA house.

I think most of these 'reality' shows give a lot to the people on them, since there are certain things they want to be able to show. Since they taped the big/little show when they went on vacation (rivercruise, etc), that was porb a freebie for them, as well aas other trips and placements around the house. I bet a lot of the the stuff we see in these shows are placements. We could probably tell, if we looked at the ending credits.

I think that if anyone needs a kick in the pants it is Kate. She is NEVER home with those kids. How can a mom spend 18 days out of the month away from her kids and say that they are "top priority" in her life??? She is never even home to have an idea how they are doing unless they are filming. At one point last season she was upest because the kids kept calling her by the nanny's name!! I think Jon, right or wrong, got tired of being left home with the kids while Kate did as she pleased. I think a lot of people just automatically want to blame the man, and in this situation it appears to me that the woman is the one walking out on her reponsibilites to her children and leaving her husband holding the bag, and he finally got the guts to say no more. Kate needs to spend more time with her kids and less time self promoting. From everything I have seen over the last 3 years she is essentially a selfish person who wants to be seen as the self-sacrificing madonna figure who gives up everything for her kids. That is just not the case. She is gone more than she is home.

:thumbsup2

It was one episode that they did when they went to the beach in the Carolinas. They stopped and looked at a home with a "outhouse" that was attatched to a barn/stables and Kate joked that it was where the crew could live.

I can't figure out how they don't have enough for at least another show or two. Kate & the children were in North Carolina for over a week. They filmed a day with the girls, a day with the boys, other outings together .. and they can't get a show out of that? They were also filming the new kitchen going in the house around the same time. The Gosselins were also in Florida (spotted by a DIS-er) in March, filming an episode. What happened to all that footage?

My guess is that TLC pulled the plug for several reasons, and the lack of footage is just one of them. Other than the 2 announcement shows, ratings have been declining rapidly. Then there are the complaints about labor issues & the children (and the dogs?) ... and if Jon & Kate aren't getting along, I can't imagine how pleasant that is to be around.

This whole thing is like a perfect storm of crazies.

No, not that kind of outhouse LOL. I guess I should say an out building..I used the wrong word LOL. It was when they announced the purchase of the new house. It was said then, that there would be a building for the crew on the property, and they would help pay for it. It was probably on a rumor board.

Speaking of freebies--no flames please, but I was thinking about those crooked houses. First off, I think they are way overpriced and I wonder if the intention was for them to donate 4 and them to purchase 4 which didn't happen. I also thought Cara & Mady were too big for them. Not to say that they wouldn't enjoy them, but they had to duck everytime they went in or out. I also thought they were sort of dangerous the way the doors and windows slam and little fingers. The best was when one of the boys said, "my girlfriends are coming over". Must of overheard Daddy talking.
I hope the hiatus is a welcome break for these kids. The marriage is over and that is obvious. Hopefully TLC realizes this show is done and moves on to other endeavors.

I tuned out to the show a few years back after hearing that Kate turned down all the donated goods offered to her by her Dad's church because all she wanted was new stuff that matched. She requested cash and gift cards instead. How ungrateful. So I'm not surprised that she sacrificed her marriage and her children to fame and money.

They filmed the first show (the "six" 5th birthday) on May 16/17th and it aried on May 25th. So it only took 1 week to put it together.

Someone said (just hear say, pretty much like everything here) someone from her church said in the begining, before they decided to offer no comments, she turned down nice, but used cribs. She didn't know if she has already been offered matching cribs, or if there was concern for the age/safety of the cribs. Once the gymboree folks offered to clothe the kids, she didn't need to take any more clothing.

Mother of multiples chiming in....
Raising multiples is hard only when the two people make it hard. Greed, disrespect, and selfishness have all been present on the show for both.
I chuckle because Jon, over and over again, said,"I'll do anything for my kids". Well a little humble communication before you check out might be a start. If you want out then get out, don't cheat. It belittles her and the kids. I hope to God she didn't too.

At this point who wants to watch footage if J&K are together "faking it?" (Yes, I realize they were not together for the beach vacation.) And I am not sure how interesting the footage they got was...how many times can you see kids running in and out of the waves or digging in the sand before boring just sets in.:confused3 Let's face it...babies are cute (for the most part) and it is fun to see the firsts, but now the kids are (basically) the same as any other kids who don't have their lives taped (minus the freebies and perks)...what is so special about that EXCEPT to their own family and (possiibly) friends??? IMO, the show had run its course for many viewers before the negative stories even came out.

Its amazing to me that you would admit that! Then again, if your like her, you will probably love the attention I just gave you.....feel sorry for your hubby. Im assuming he is also an adult and probably could figure out if your kids needed napkins.

I have to wonder, I used to think the show Bridezilla was just a put on, that women like that really didnt exsist, and treat their supposed soul mates like they do on that show....but lately after reading on here and other boards...Im starting to think its real! How scary is that!

Hey, at least I admit my shortcomings and don't pretend that I am prefect - and there aren't any cameras filming my every move either. :rotfl:
No, my husband is of the male variety and does not always see what is obvious and in certain situations it is easier to tell someone what is needed. Sometimes it is politely, sometimes not so much.

Soul mate? Do people still use that term.:surfweb: With divorces at a rate of at least 50%, that's a lot of souls being ripped apart.

None of the new shows include any family or friends that they haven't already alienated. Its 8 kids and 2 dogs and now less one parent and the crew they might consider family. How they will "share" the house that the kids love so much will no doubt be a big dilema. I was hoping they would mention a hiatus to put their family first. It seemed like Kate would have gone to counseling but has no other choice because Jon is not willing. He could have held back his excitement.

Apparently the same way that they have been sharing it for the past month or so -- he is living in the garage apartment. She will probably not be home much when he is there (book tours, etc.), so they probably will not have much difficulty avoiding one another.

There is also plenty of property there, so they could easily build a guest cottage onsite for her to use when he is there, if she didn't want to be in the main house at the time.

:scared1: Wow, I certainly don't think there was any need for a personal attack. I'd say the ppl. around you are the ppl. to feel sorry for:sad2::sad2:

There old house has not sold (as far as I know) they could always use that as their home away from home.

I would venture to say this cynicism about love is part of the reason that we have a 50% divorce rate in our country. My DH and I have been married for 10 years and take our for better or worse very seriously - I know no matter how bad things get - he and I are in this for the long haul and we will always find our way back to each other! He is my soulmate.
