Jon really looked ticked off on Monday's show - both in the footage and in the interview. Kate just kept going on and on about Jon should offer to help more. I don't think she realizes how good she has it with him. He gets ALL 8 kids up and dressed, gets Mady and Cara off to school, and does the entire night-time routine. You could tell he was mad she kept saying he needed to do more. I just cringed and wanted to reach through the screen and shake her. With all their fame and money, they are at a much higher risk of their marriage falling apart.
i notice this too. it makes me realy wonder about the circumstances around his employment. i know he went to work (last season?) for beth's husband, but then this season they said he had become self employed and started his own buisness (which they said they were happy about because he'd be home more). now, i don't know what his expertese is in the IT field, but i can't fathom how he manages to successfully do any kind of one man IT buisness with all the stuff he appears to do family wise. between the morning duties, the school stuff and the evening routine-that's allot in and of itself-then add in the outings they've been showing him do with the boys and then errands-how the heck does he do anything at a computer unless he's forgoing sleep all nite

i remember in the faq show both of them said that they have to have their computer in their bedroom closet just in order to have a quiet space away from the kids for the rare time they could eek out of the day to sit at it. makes me think that what other sites have posted about his new buisness being solely appearing on the show, doing the speaking engagements and managing their personal website are likely very accurate.
btw-anyone noticed 'aunt jody's' absence from recent episodes? according to a facebook account that's done by jody's sister we won't be likely seeing jody again anytime soon. apparantly the producers of the show approached her and said that they wanted to offer her a contract to compensate her for the childcare and all the filming that was being done at her home and her presence in the episodes-and kate got realy bent out of shape about it-she does'nt want any family compensated except herself/jon/kids for the show and it came out that 2 years earlier in the show the producers had approached jon and kate privatly to tell them at that time they wanted to offer jody a contract but jon and kate told them no way-and never told jody or kevin about it. from the way jody's sister talks it was never a money issue with jody/kevin-they love the kids and enjoyed spending time with them, but when kate got p.o.'d at the production company for sidestepping her and going to jody directly, AND the gosselin's AND the production company started getting an overabundance of pro-jody e-mails- kate began making excuses not to let them spend time with the kids (on or off camera) to the extent that it's very strained (and apparantly j&k cruise the blogs, threads and websites about themselves-and kate was'nt happy when people made negative comments about the way she talked about the manner in which jody watched the kiddos

). the producers are apparantly now paying for the childcare needed to facilitate filming the family-but it's with someone who won't be shown on-camera. very interesting stuff-there's also some info. as to why some of the family and former friends/neighbors are estranged-when the 6 pack were infants j&k sent a mass email to everyone they knew depicting themselves as being poverty stricken, detailing their income and their expenses-asking for financial help. apparantly allot of people stepped forward and started to pay their bills (the email provided their account numbers for their mortgage and utlity companies so the people could pay directly, i.m.h.o.-something that i'm sure the gosselins knew was a means to keep medicaid from considering it as income so they could stay eligible

)-only to find out after the fact that a 'wealthy couple' (not named but i'm wondering if this is beth and her hubby?) had been financialy supporting them for months prior to the email and were continuing to do so without knowledge of the email and the additional funds generated. the 'icing on the cake' was jon and kate's later admission to family that all along they had a substantial savings account that they chose not to use because (the same mantra she used in her medicaid appeal

) 'we should'nt have to, it's society's obligation-we have 8 kids'
i dunno what will happen with these kiddos-i have to wonder what impact such a life has on them (does anyone else watch this show, and as i do-am reminded of the movie 'the truman show'?).
