I'm going to go on record right now and say - no way, I don't believe it. That guy is making my Gay-dar go off the charts. I mean -the womans '70s vintage ski-jacket with the fur lined hood????? Please.

If you are going by that then almost every young man at the mall this weekend was gay. That is the style along with very tight pants, my 18 year old nephew informed me.

Rumor is he is 23 and a hockey player. I say it is a publicity stunt to keep her name in the news.

This guy actually looks really familiar. Wasn't there a pic of some youngish man at the house this past summer or fall? I could've sworn there was. I think he may be the same one. Anyone recall?

He looks pretty trendy IMO which probably is attractive to Kate since she's changed so much herself (style-wise). At least he's not wearing an Ed Hardy t-shirt!! I don't think he looks gay though. He looks like those metrosexual guys from New York! They're straight but always look trendy and nice. Maybe this guy is her assistant? Although, considering that she's been complaining about having $ to pay the bills, how would she even afford an assistant? I don't know but I don't think he looks gay. Actually, he dresses like the Jonas Brothers...you know, tight pants and all. I don't get that look but it is popular.

Oh yeah, you're totally right. That's him. It's her hairdresser. He does hair, wears tight pants and a womans retro ski jacket with the hood up. Walks like a duck, dresses like a duck...It's a DUCK. I'm telling you, my Gay-dar is fine tuned and never wrong.

Again, I find this sad. Kate's friends don't include moms from school or the neighborhood, or even her family. Her friends are down to the people who get PAID to be around her. Her bodyguard, her hairdresser. Hairdresser is getting some time in the on-line tabloids...his 15 minutes. He is not there to have lunch with her, he is there to have his picture taken by the paparazzi. Sad Kate doesn't realize this.

I was also thinkng before when I first saw the picture that Kate sure is good at styling that new hair by herself. I thought it was looking pretty good for her just walking around town when she is at home in PA. Now I realize it's because the DUCK there probably just did her hair for her at home before they went to lunch. I'll bet he is being paid by TLC to take the train down from NY once a week to keep up those extensions for her and they were just going to lunch after.

That's me. I don't care what she does or what her hair looks like as long as she makes a living without selling her kids to fund her lifestyle choice. I don't want her to give interviews about them or write books about them or put them on tv again. I want her to keep them off the driveway and let them grow and deal with their issues in peace. Let's see Kate stand on her own, and I will wish her every success.

Hey y'all! I'm not a fan of the "new" Katie 'do. In the picture here she looks like Kathie Lee Gifford or somebody. I can't put my finger on it but it's kind creepy.

I have to agree with the new "boyfriend"...doesn't seem like Kate's type to me.

And Jon has yet another girlfriend?? Hasn't he learned ANYTHING??? Where is he getting the money to go to Utah and ski and "hang out" with girls?? He doesn't have a freaking job!

As for the "brother"...no matter if kate did prevent his family from getting a contract with TLC...he should NEVER,...have dissed her sooooo badly on national television. I agree! I wonder why people get so carried away with criticism. Kate isn't perfect and doesn't say she is. She admits her fault in what happened and she has handled this whole situation with as much grace as one can.

I do know how Kate must feel slightly about her brother dissing her. My brother won't speak to me and I have only seen my nephews once in 3 years. All because I married someone who is successful and we are able to live a very nice lifestyle. Whereas, my brother and his family struggles. It breaks my heart not to have my brother in my life. It's amazing what greed and jealousy does to families!

Yet-to-be-titled TLC series slated to debut later this year

Reality superstar Kate Gosselin is set to return to television later this year in a brand new TLC series of her own, TheWrap has learned.

According to a source close to the untitled production, the series will depict the former matriarch of "Jon & Kate Plus 8" as a fish out of water "trying different jobs and tasks and showing how she performs in the different environments."

The show will also likely have an interactive component, with the professions and corresponding challenges being somewhat determined by the audience. "It's more like Kate Gosselin, firefighter," noted the production source, "not Kate Gosselin, wife and homemaker."

The show -- tentatively scheduled to debut in late spring or early summer -- will not feature ex-husband Jon or any of her eight children. "She's proven herself to be a celebrity in her own right," an executive at Discovery, which owns TLC, told TheWrap, "and, with the interest she generates, she can fit into any role on her own."

(Update: Officially, TLC is not confirming. "This is just the latest speculation from supposed sources. Last week everyone was announcing 'Date Kate,'" TLC Senior Vice President of Communications Laurie Goldberg said in a statement after TheWrap's story was published. "We are still in development and looking at a number of ideas.")

After five seasons, the last episode of the hugely successful "Jon & Kate Plus 8" aired in November. Amidst tabloid headlines and high ratings, the reality show's last season saw the Pennsylvania couple's 10-year marriage collapse, controversy emerge over whether the twins and sextuplets were being exploited on air and claims that there had been very little real about Jon and Kate for a very long time.

That fallout proved little disincentive to TLC, who, a production source informed TheWrap, are primarily doing the new show with Gosselin "because they are worried if they don't do it with Kate, someone else will."

Is this TLC-hyping up Kate? If she can have a show and be successful, than I am for it, as long as she stops exploiting the kids.

Well, that explains that story of her in some dinner/restaurant in NC (?) and security pulled down the curtains. Do you all remember that?

I wonder what kind of jobs they'd put her in? Does this seem like a strange premise for a show? It really doesn't matter though, if people like it than it'll work for Kate. What a relief that she'll be the only one tv though. I hope it works out for her then. From what I've seen lately, it appears she'll be the only parent bringing in an income.

why would tlc be in the least bit worried about kate doing a show with someone else? if they have the exclusivity contract she can't do squat without their expressed permission. so if they did'nt opt to use her and someone else wanted to they could either say 'no', or negotiate with the other network to purchase their contract (or cut them in on the deal).

But not all hope is lost. On Jan. 8, Gosselin had a stylist visit her Pennsylvania home to coach her on how to care for her new look.

"Kate has been trying different things, from headbands to ponytails to a Farrah Fawcett–style 'do. She's just not sure what she wants."
