I don't know when this was, but I don't believe it was during the show. They were in their own home and putting on an addition. Maybe during the special they had before the series.

Doing the math, it looks like 4 1/2 months? Maybe when they first came home? Although she had a hard delivery, so I wonder if she went right back to work, so maybe it was another time.

There is another sextuplet (I think they had six) show starting up too. I'm not sure what channel that is.

hmm..if I'm reading this right, there will be two new shows:


TLC announced it has ordered Quintuplet Surprise and another new reality series based on its Multitude of Multiples special that followed a family with septuplets.

Both shows are currently scheduled to premiere later this year.

Quintuplet Surprise will follow Austin, TX couple Casey and Ethan Jones as they raise their 6-year-old daughter and a newborn set of quintuplets while also dealing with a construction business that hasn't been doing so well.

Multitude of Multiples originally aired last summer on TLC and the new ongoing series will continue to follow the Carpio family -- which includes 18-month-old sextuplets and an 8-year-old son -- as they live in New York City.

I'd love to stop by Carlo's bakery too but I don't know if I could handle all the yelling...Buuuudddddyyyyy! They should change the bakery's name to that! They do look like a huge, loud and fun family. And I'm sure she was right, there are a lot of them to keep the others egos in check. Did you eat anything from there? Everything looks delish.

That time I went I bought a couple of pastry. One was good and the other was stale or something. And the other time I went I got some italian cookies, a fruit torte and a lobster tail. I was looking so forward to the lobster tail but I think the girl gave me something else because it didn't look like a lobster tail and again it seemed kind of stale. Fruit torte was delicious and I LOVED the cookies.

Someday I will buy a small cake from there and see how I like their cakes.

I was just checking my Twitter and Hailey is cluttering it up tonight repeating how Jon still owes her 200k and how she was cleared of all charges and he did insurance fraud. She wants the 200k back but doesn't want it taken away from his kids and he should get a job. Is it sad that I agree with her?

all that outburst did was make me set my TiVo for a Season Pass for Kate Plus 8. Hehe.


But I see all the same arguments are still going back and forth. I have nothing new to add at this point.

Thanks, I forgot I didn't watch tv last summer. Plus, I've been reading again, so my nose is stuck in books. Reading a good book by Nora Roberts, "High Noon" and it takes place in Savannah GA, my 2nd favorite place to go on vacation.

I want to add a bit on the discussion about the Masche family compared/contrasted with the Gosselins.....My stance on the subject is that kids lives should not be the focus of a for-profit tv show, especially in the long term. Not that a one time show is good by any means, it just the damage increases with the amount of exposure. By the time you are in the tabloids, the damage is irreversible, IMO.

If you have to have a show for whatever rationalization you deem appropriate, the kids need to be paid individually, a guardian ad-litum appointed, and child actor laws should be followed. None of this, "they are just living their normal lives being filmed' crud. We all know what a load that is....and that applies to everyone filming their kids for a show.

Back to the Masches, they have not yet demonstrated their desire to live off their kids as a sole source of income, they do not display them in the front yard and they seem to have a life outside of a tv network (normal activities, friends, family are involved in their lives etc). This could change of course.

Maybe they are making different choices, have different priorities, or maybe they just haven't been offered an opportunity to film 100 episodes in a year.

I wouldn't watch them in any case. (I don't get that channel)

The lobster tail is that pastry that looks like a huge open ended croissant? I'd be curious too if the cakes taste as good as they look on the show. Everytime I watch, I start craving!

Ya, I saw that Hailey was cleared of the charges too. Jon is a real loser if he ransacked his own apartment and tried to frame her for it. Really low class if you ask me. Not that Hailey is high class by any means though! Still, I think it's nice that she realizes that he doesn't have a job and by demanding the $ from him, it will end up coming from the kids. You know, I'd have more respect for him if he had a job anywhere, McDonald's, Target, whatever because at least it would show he is willing to work to provide. I still think he's going to demand alimony from Kate because the show is coming back on.

Yup, all the arguments are the same here! But we're fun though, right?

That's what I thought a lot of people felt, and I do agree with your last paragraph. For me, I think, if people (general) don't want the G's on, they shouldn't want any child on.

I'm sure you remember that the G's also had jobs when they started and Kate left hers and Jon left his, once it became lucrative enough to do so. Jen M has also said she would like to be a full time mom. That would be tough with 8 kids and one person working, unless she changes her tastes (she used to like organic, and that's expensive, although I don't know if she still does). I can't help buy wonder if that will happen if (or when) they start bringing in an audience, enough to expand their amount of shows. She is shopping at the loft and the kids are getting gymboree clothes (although they did shut down their web site where you could donate stuff and money and buy from the people who already helped them out), so while some things about them are different, I see a trend here. She also says she doesn't have regular help, but she does, or did before she moved. I don't know until the show is on, what she will do for help now. Granted most seem to be related (and I think only one was paid), and one is a church friend of a relative.

Also, before last Feb or so, Kate's kids could play in the yard and there were no paps, just the regular cameras..that all changed, and people wanted to hear all the dirt, and money changed hands for photos. Also the M's kids haven't been old enough to ride bikes and be out front yet..they did of course go T or Treating out front, and they have been shown going to with the mom when she went to be checked for her donated tummy tuck/lift, but there were no paps, because, well, there isn't much interest. I do hope it stays that way, but if it does, prob that means the show isn't a hit. Just my own opinion. YMMV.

Much will be/has been made on the blogs about the looks on the children's faces. I didn't read much into that at all. Kids are kids. I'm sure they were hot and bored. My kids sure would be. LOL.

What I'm struck by is Kate. She looks happy there. Truly happy. Content. Not botoxed, lifted, tanned, or whatever else she's had done. To me, that's Kate Gosselin. Not the shell of herself that she's turned into.

She does look happy, relaxed. I actually bought this issue back when it was on the shelves. It was a sad article in retrospect. Kate talked about how she and Jon would high 5 each other after accomplishing things together. She even said that she can imagine them sitting on their porch with all their kids married and with kids of their own. I recall too that the author said that Jon was hen pecked but for the record there was palpable warmth between J&K. Look at where they are now. The timeline of this was I think the end of the summer before Kate suppposedly told Jon their marriage was over.

Wow. Jon and Kate were adorable. Standing still, with no sound, no speaking, eye rolling, or demands! Seriously, 5 years ago she was still entitled, but she and Jon were precious. She was even sweet with the "oh Huuuuney" and touching his face. Somewhere they lost their way to the nth degree. I can't imagine how they are still marketable.

So Kate says to radaronline, that she's glad she has a job. They got her as she came out of Target. And she had someone help her load her bags/case of something into her car. Yes, I know the associates help customers load their cars, but all her things, she could have done by herself. I don't get help when I have a case of water and the big thing of cat litter, but then I'm not Kate. (thank god)!

Do you think the kids look normal and like themselves on that cover? They look odd to me. some odder than others.

So, tell me about the high chairs.....I've read they're still in them in some preview. And still taking/needing naps? At 6, really? Perhaps some kids, but it's a stretch for all 6 six y/o's to need a daily nap. I no longer watch TLC, so I am spared the commercials!

I love her!! I think she is a great mom!! I think she does what she can to keep her side of the family surviving! As for the Gosselins kids not being the sole source of income anymore, it has to be said that the entire basis for Kate's income is the children. Both of them stopped working and made it very clear that they made the show and all that went with it, their jobs!!.

Haven't the Gosselin children been filmed enough for kids their age? Why does their fame driven mother realize that she is suppose to support them and not vice versa. J & K had its run and its over. We don't need Kate +8. Write a book and tell how life is after a tv show ends and a divorce.

Any kind of job for Kate and or Jon would be fine with me - as long as it doesn't involve the kids having to work and support their parents..
