absolutely -- ALL realityMy only issue with this statement is that it can be argued that J&K was also heavily edited to make Kate appear to be more witchy than normal and Jon to be more of a whipping boy than he reallly is.

One of the things Jon said in his interview that I believe was actually quite accurate is that TLC has enough footage of Jon & Kate to create new shows with completely different outcomes. It's always been about the editing with them.
I think it woud be extremely difficult in either family's case to accurately portray them in any one manner if they didn't already have the disposition for being that way.
I.e. If Kate wasn't controlling--it would be mind numbing to find enough footage to demonstrate this.
If the Duggar family wasn't so loving and happy--it also would be mind numbing to find enough footage to demonstrate this.
There is just too much footage geared towards their perceived personalities that we cannot say that it is just the editing. There is truth to what we see.
The thing with the Duggar family is how much of their faith-based parenting techniques are left out of their TLC show. There has been a lot on controversy about that, ever since they entered the media scene. I don't deny that they're a loving, happy, family. All I'm saying is that a fragment of their lives isn't shown. They also don't show anything related to the Duggars church live, other than prayers. Personally, I'd find an episode about church fascinating, but I don't know whether or not it would make for good TV. LOL.
