I'm sorry--but I am now :rotfl: at Jon!

Evidently his supposed evidence of his bank statements were inadequate or failed to prove the innocence he has been proclaiming.

All the evidence he claimed to ET or Extra or whomever it was--belonged with the judge and arbitrator.

No way would they have ruled in Kate's favor if he didn't take the money.

Liar liar pants on fire, Mr. Gosselin!

Let's not forget that we're only hearing from one lawyer that really isn't supposed to be speaking according to the judge.

It looks like Kate is doing her fair share of lying as well. She said that Jon took $230,000 out of the account when in fact, she was the one that took out $55,000 of that money. :headache: What in the world could she have spent that much money on for her children in such a short time? And how did she forget about it?

On the bedroom situation...

I don't go into DD8's bedroom that often. Guess I won't qualify for mother of the year anytime soon ;)

We have a nightly routine in a chair in the living room. We go over the day's events, talk about tomorrow morning, hug, kiss then she's off to bed. I peek through from the hall to make sure she's sleeping on my way to bed...but rarely do I actually go in.

DD likes to sleep in a little longer in the AM, so DS13 wakes her up while I'm in the shower.

She brings her dirty basket (and sheets when I call for them) to the laundry room & puts away her clean clothes all by herself.

Occasionally, when she's not home...I've been known to go in there with garbage bags & do some spring cleaning. :rolleyes1 And, I've tossed things into the hall to be out of my way & dealt with.

I didn't see last night's episode so I can only go by what i'm reading...but I don't see anything terribly wrong with it.

He did sort of admit taking the money (the 177,000 over whatever time period).

I thought Kate had to provide her accounting today, but she must not have if she is required to do so by Oct 26.

How about her throwing everything down the stair or getting rid of 6 garbage bags full of their stuff without them knowing?

She said it was 6 garbage bags of trash.

And truth be told--I have gone in to clean my children's "pigsty" at times that they just let go and couldn't fix themselves and have sometimes come out with 2 or 3 bags of TRASH--this is not even sneaking out toys for donations or anything. But strictly trash. My kids are notorious for hiding crap under their beds.

Everything down the stairs--thought a bit rough when she tossed the high chair, but I have been known as have my parents to toss things down the stairs (stuff that wouldn't break) to faciliate moving it.

I wasn't stunned until she tossed the baby high chair.

I'm not really going to get in a parenting debate on how she should visit the girls room more often and this wouldn't happen.

I don't tuck in my oldest girls on a nightly basis anymore (stories often happen in another part of the house) and their room has gone from spotless (as in mommy fixed it) to wrecked in a matter of a couple of days.

And we live in a small house. (We finally moved all kids 2 girls and 1 boy into a bunkroom and turned their room into the playroom and it is more easy to prevent such destruction for us.)

I have friends this happens to as well. It is just something kids do.

Sure I can go and bust their chops (not literally!) on a daily basis to get them to clean it to my satisfaction--but Kate would be villified for doing that as well.

I can't jump on the bash Kate bandwagon for this one when I have seen unfortunate destruction in my own home (and in friends homes) in what seems to have been an extremely short period of time.

I haven't watched the show but did she say it was all trash? Kate sells the clothes at consignment stores and would save Mady and Cara's stuff for the little girls wouldn't she? Maybe she was cleaning out closets and dressers as well and taking clothes and stuff out or toys the girls had outgrown. Maybe it was just stuff she'd been trying to get them to get rid of but couldn't get in there with 8 kids running around. I mean, we saw what the basement looked like. It's possible that things just got dumped in there when they moved and there were tons of empty boxes (maybe for smaller stuff like shoe or jewelry boxes) or there junk from back to school supplies? I'm not saying it would fill six bags.....just thinking. Now I also had a dad who would come home on the weekends and fill garbage bags with anything that was on the floor in my room that got put up in the garage not to be seen again until I was a teenager. I hope that wasn't the case! Like I said, I haven't watched the show yet (thank goodness for the DVR) but just a couple of thoughts.

How about her throwing everything down the stair or getting rid of 6 garbage bags full of their stuff without them knowing?

I could easily fill 1-2 bags of JUST Happy Meal toys...my DD would never even notice. :confused3 (Obviously we're not an Organic family ;))

HE DID????

The last I had seen was the Extra clips last week where he showed 2 withdraw papers. Then told them he would later bring a complete bank statement that would prove he didn't take the money.

What a lying piece of crap.

And he lated "sort of admitted it"?

I know people are in his corner--but I just don't see how one can justify lying. I don't care how much he hates Kate. Simply no excuse!

Did anyone else think is was way wrong when Kate said in last night's episode that she had planned on riding the kids bus for the first week to set down the rules? But then she changed it to just going on when they got on, becuase they were afraid the paps would follow the bus. The poor twins would have been horified. And when I saw Kate have a cow about the girls room condition that just confirmed to me that Kate does not do the laundry, does not put away the laundry, does not vacuum their rooms, or change their sheets. And the shoe store, why doesn't kate tell the kids BEFORE they go in somewhere how things are going to be done? I have always prepared the kids for shopping trips. Things go soo much smoother that way.

Was Kate gone in August before school started?
I know Kate made the comment that Jon was going to Las Vegas,
but he showed up to take some of the kids to the bus stop.
That was over Labor Day weekend right?

I don't remember the layout of the house, when Jon and Kate showed the kids the new house, but it seemed like that stairway only led to Mady and Kara's room. Kate probably went to the top of the stairs to wake them up, but with it being summer, the girls probably woke up on their own and Kate probably gave them a good nite hug and kiss downstairs and didn't walk upstairs to tuck them in. Sorry, just giving Kate the benefit of a doubt.

I hate cleaning in the summer, and if my kids don't get their close in the hamper for the wash, it doesn't get washed either. I vacuum and dust, but my kids have to clean their rooms. Maybe Kate said too, your old enough to clean your rooms and get the wash down to the laundry room. I didn't get the tossing of articles down the steps either, especially some of the toys. That was a little over to the top.

So Kate's lawyer is now saying that out of the $230,000 that they claimed Jon had taken, Kate really took $55,000 of it for expenses.

It will be interesting to hear from Kate as to what she spent that money on for her kids.

What happened to her request for spousal support?

In any case, that's a big chunk of change he took (although he said he had proof he didn't..guess not). It appears hers was for bills..I'm sure we'll hear if it's not.

I had thought that was a separate request that occurred when the judge's wife passed away and the trial was postponed.

It was either filed the week before the petition about the money or the day of (there were 2 different reports on this -- Kate's lawyer said in an interview it was the week before)

It was a separate petition, but IMO it must mean something if the judge still has not ruled on this given that it was first supposed to be considered last week.

He did sort of admit taking the money (the 177,000 over whatever time period).

I thought Kate had to provide her accounting today, but she must not have if she is required to do so by Oct 26.

Exactly. We don't know the dates that the judge was looking at.

Kate was supposed to provide the accounting on July 10th and on August 12th, but until Jon petitioned to have her held in contempt there wouldn't have been charges pending. They are both being given until August 26th to comply with the orders now ie. they both could be charged with contempt of court.

Jon Gosselin Ordered to Return $180,000
Posted Oct 13th 2009 2:02PM by TMZ Staff

TMZ has learned Jon Gosselin has been ordered to return $180,000 in marital funds, which were removed in violation of an arbitrator's order.

According to Kate's lawyer, Mark Momjian, "The remaining sum of $55,000, which Ms. Gosselin used for household bills and expenses relating to the children, will be subject to further determination by the arbitrator at a later date."

Jon is required to repay the loot by October 26 -- the next hearing -- or appear before the judge for a contempt proceeding.

The judge also ordered Kate to provide an accounting of past expenses -- also due by Oct. 26.

Kate says, "As difficult as this has been for me, I am pleased that the Court has ruled fairly on behalf of myself and my children. Now that this matter has been ruled on, I look forward to returning to private arbitration, as we have agreed to do, to resolve any remaining issues."

I would say both sides will be doing some scrambling these next 13 days to one degree or another. I wonder how much of that $180,000 Jon has handed over to Mr. Heller.

How about her throwing everything down the stair or getting rid of 6 garbage bags full of their stuff without them knowing?

My daughter is a pack rat, she wants to keep everything she has ever had in her possession. She also can't seem to find a trash can for her gum wrappers and tends to put them wherever. I am the opposite of a pack rat and have gone into "we are getting rid of that mode" once in awhile in her room.

She said it was 6 garbage bags of trash.

Yes, Kate says trash but how do we know what it really was? What she considers to be trash, the girls may have considered to be important. In past episodes we've seen her throw away perfectly good items so it's likely that she did this in C & M's room as well. If it truly was trash, can you imagine the stench that would have been coming from that room with 6 bags worth.:scared1:

She also said that she left the piles for them to clean up including the laundry because she wasn't going to do it for them. I thought that whole purpose of her going upstairs was to get the laundry?:confused3

I don't believe in throwing the stuff down the stairs. What if the toys had broken? If the girls were going to have to clean it up when they got home, why not leave it upstairs with the rest of the piles that she had made?

I just can't imagine how they felt after their day at school to come home to that!

I know people are in his corner--but I just don't see how one can justify lying. I don't care how much he hates Kate. Simply no excuse!

I hope that you hold Kate to the same standard. After all, she LIED about the $55,000 that she took from the account and said that Jon took it! :rotfl:

I hope that we do hear what it was for. Things are just not adding up. She says that she spent $55,000 on her kids but yet she says that the monthly expenses are $15,000. Where's the other $40,000?

Also, where's the money that she gets for speaking, The View, book...? Has she accounted for that?

The $177,000 was the total of what he said he withdrew in the past year, actually since January. Apparently $118,000 of that was withdrawn in May.

Again, we don't know if the judge was looking only at the transactions between Aug. 10th and Sept. 29th, or at the entire account. I'll wait until I hear more, because so far Kate's team has proven they are not an absolutely reliable source. Plus, I'm ticked at them for violated the judge's gag order -- either there is more to this than they're letting on (so they're trying to win in the court of public opinion now), or they just don't get how damaging this will be to the kids some day.

My DD (also 9) loves when she goes to a friend's house overnight because she knows I go in her room to clean it. I can easily throw out 2 bags of trash. Now this is not food garbage or dirty diapers or anything. Its scraps of paper, broken happy meal toys, unbroken happy meal toys :goodvibes, bits of toys that have broken or separated from the larger toy which no longer useful. She hates to part with anything but knows that it needs to go. She knows that I won't throw out anything of value.

But let's be honest folks, every time my kid puts a line on a sheet of paper it doesn't need to be saved as artwork. For some reason she has it in her head that everything she touches I need to save for posterity purposes. :lmao: I love my child but every scribble (yes scribbles) do not need to be saved. Not sure if this is what Kate is doing but I do this to my DD's room at least 2 to 3 times a year. You'd be surprised how quickly that crap adds up. ;)

My girls room didn't stink.

It had trash, yes--but no rancid food, moldy bread or anything of that nature.
It's wrappers, hangers that broke, craft leftovers, crumpled papers (clearly not important b/c they were crumpled--and not put in a "sacred" spot) and other crap.

My kids are happy to find a clean room. Thus far not requiring any therapy for such discoveries.

She didn't toss everything downstairs--mostly linens and a few toys that feasibly belonged in the playroom.

We'll just have to agree to disagree.

Those who find Kate to be a villain will find wrong in all that she does.

Most parents of 9yo's know what is truly sacred and know what we can get away with tossing out. My children have survived a number of my rounds of cleaning their rooms.

I hope that you hold Kate to the same standard. After all, she LIED about the $55,000 that she took from the account and said that Jon took it! :rotfl:

I'll be happy to when it is traced.

However he claimed that he took ZERO!

Thus far she is permitted to use the money for household expenses. Though admittedly--how did she miss 55K.

My only thought is that private school ain't cheap and maybe she forgot she paid that bill.

I'll do that on occasion. Send a check, set up a payment and then go check my account one day and see a bit missing and wonder what the heck happened. Not $55,000 mind you--but I do a double take.

I've had my husband wonder what happened to some money that I moved--and I haven't a clue of what he is talking about. I do have to look at the statements and then can tell you what everything is.

But I'll be happy to call her to the table upon the ruling.

But Jon spent days protesting the allegations and claimed that he had proof that he took nothing.

How COULD YOU????????

:rotfl::rotfl:

True enough! I'm constantly amazed.

Plus we don't know if these are kitchen bags or lawn bags--big difference.:lmao:

I always think one kitchen bag will be enough. Not even close.

I just hauled two garbage bags out of my son's room last Friday. Like the other posters it was things like broken toys, the occasional food wrapper etc. and it was all stuffed into his toy boxes and under his bed. I hadn't really gone in during the summer because it's a pain to clean when he's home. I don't see six bags that much of a stretch for twins.
