Maybe the judge is trying to earn a little money himself!

I do think it is so they will consider telling the truth (both of them) and not act like 2 year olds.

Ya right! Is it even possible for them to act like adults at this point? I wonder how this morning's meeting went and if the judge had to intervene. Maybe he got fed up with both of them and is making the hearing public so they WILL grow up and act like adults.

Kate, who is seeking child and spousal support, has accused Jon of taking $230,000 from the family account. Jon has denied the withdrawals were inappropriate and wants Kate to account for more than $100,000 in withdrawals of her own.

Judge Tilson wants the money that's been taken out of the account to be returned immediately. He also told the Gosselins on Tuesday that he realizes they want their privacy, but the Oct. 26 hearing will be made public.

Sounds like it was not a slam-dunk for either side. I'm willing to bet that the one who talks less is the one with the most money to put back.

No, I think it will be like today with the judge ie. reporters and the public can sit in. Sounds like the judge is not a fan of spin.

Or maybe the arbitrator is fed up with them -- I think you're right about the judge having to intervene. After meeting with them for an hour, there was no resolution even though they have the banking records.

Well, at least we have the answer to one of our questions. According to this article, TLC stopped paying Jon and Kate when filming stopped:

I think it means that this is open to the public, reporters, media, anyone at all that may be in and around the courthouse. Not televised at all.

I hope Jon found a real lawyer that can represent him in a divorce in PA. Law is very specialized. Even if Mark Heller could practice in PA, he is not a divorce lawyer...and even if he were that, Jon needs someone who knows PA divorce rules. He can't just go with some guy he found in Martha's Vineyard. I think Jon has really made a mess for himself getting involved with Michael Lohan.

In a court filing obtained by the TV show The Insider, Jon Gosselin said he will also also use local lawyer Charles Meyer, his previous attorney of record in the divorce case.

I don't think it will be televised, as in the OJ trial. To me "public" means not having the proceedings and outcome sealed (as in private), which means that the information of the proceedings will be available to everyone.

Just wanted to thank everyone for keeping me up to date on the gossip and drama. We've started our budgets for next year already so I don't have nearly as much time as I did before. I'm also happy to see less negativity! Y'all are a great group and I'm gonna be sad when the show's done and I won't have anything to check when I get bored with work!

You certainly live in a beautiful area. We stayed at the Marriott Newport Coast Villas when we went to DL in 2008. Just gorgeous views and I loved the shopping.

I can see how you get caught up with the 3 hr time difference. Its amazing that some days this thread crawls and other days you can't keep up.

They were in love and now look at where they are. That's sad to me. I wonder how they look at each other now with such contempt when they, once upon a time, used to be in love and from that love had 8 beautiful kids. What a shame.

I don't think it helps with another person, "Hailey" in the picture.
If Jon didn't have a girlfriend that "has his back" and agreed with everything
he says, maybe those two, could work it out. IMO Hailey is a huge part of the problem. Jon wants to date a younger person, to feel younger. I know this has been hashed out numerous times. And I still think something is going on with Kate, that she told Jon over a year ago, there marriage is over. The reason will come out eventually, but Kate is side-stepping the whole issue completely. Just that her and Jon see things differently.

I feel the exact same way.

I thought of that this morning and on last night's show. Kate & Jon dropped the kids at the bus for the first day of school. She went on to comment that leaving alone was hard with no one to talk to about it. She said in the past they would have high-fived each other and say we made it!...very sad.
