I actually think there are a lot more here that would be happy if Kate were declared an unfit mom and had the kids taken away from her.

That may be true, and it's just as bad. I wouldn't want to see those kids without a mother or a father. I am truly hoping that they end up with joint custody, fire a couple of the nannies and make sure one of them is always home with the kids.

Having said that, I think all of them should be going to counseling and I think the kids should be given a chance to live a normal life for at least a while. All of them need a break IMO to readjust as a family and for the parents to get their priorities straight.

So its okay for Kate to give some um tearful interviews on the Early Show, Regis & Kelly, The View and Larry King, but if Jon gives an interview he's mentally ill?? Kate contradicts herself several times by saying she has no money but she's getting a new ring to I took some money too, but I put it back and I might of spent some on my $70,000 SUV but I can't remember, but Jon isn't entitled to any money??

Kate is ticked because Jon let the cat out of the bag. TLC was paying for a lot of their expenses and with the show suspended, no pay!! I find it hard to believe that a trained nurse would want to work at McDonald's to feed her kids--maybe she meant to say she wanted to buy McDonald's as an investment for her kids!!

I don't think Jon makes the best decisions, but I can do no wrong Kate is just to blame. They both are guilty of spending money foolishly. Is Kate still being protected by Steve?? Who is paying his salary if TLC isn't?? She is a reality tv person, A list stars travel around without a bodyguard. Those kids could defend themselves--hasn't anyone seen them beat each other up??

Bad Jon cut the ties with TLC and Kate plus 8 couldn't visit NY. Why should Kate have to pay for hotel, food and transportation like the rest of us?? She is a "movie star" at least she thinks she is one! Give me a break, this women has been scamming the system for 5 yrs now--enough is enough!!!

I have no idea how the family court system works in PA, but where I live if it is an urgent or serious matter another judge would sit in on the hearing for the day. They might choose to do nothing, but they would at least be able to tell Kate whether she has substantiated the claims in her filing. If Kate lived here, a one week delay would mean the judge wasn't buying the arguments (either that Jon took that much money OR that his taking the money left her with nothing)

I also think the McDonald's comment was ridiculous -- I'm betting that they pay each of their staff -- nannies, body guards, her personal assistant -- more than people make at McDonalds.

We just had to cancel our camping trip for this weekend (a much anticipated canoe trip into the backwoods of Nova Scotia) due to weather and it's unlikely now we'll get to go til next year. My DD is 9, but there was no wailing here -- we told her we'd make other plans and try to have just as much fun. If she'd been 5, I'd have told her we'd do something even better than the camping trip.

This is totally OT, but OhMari, I just read your trip report and your daugthers are beautiful! Looks like you all had a wonderful time together. I have 3 girls of my own and when they're older, I would love to do a mother/daughters trip with them.

Her name is Jamie Cole Ayers. I just searched her name and it came up - she was the only one with that name when I searched this morning. For me, it came up with a blank screen for her "info" (she must have that set to appear or something??? I'm not that facebook smart!) but you can click on the "wall" button and it all comes up.

Why a pic of herself in "Kate's bathroom"? My opinion only, I think she is looking for attention.

yeah, it does seem they would have replaced him, but maybe they agreed to wait. I don't know, but I might want a new judge without any turmoil of his own right now.

Also, no way Jon doesn't know her, there are a few pictures of her and Jon together. Kate and Jon look very relaxed with her too, like good friends. Which she likes to say alot. Pictures are marked "My BFF" picture with Kate. "My Dear Friends" picture with Jon and Kate. "My Close Friends the Gosselins." that kind of thing.

The bathroom picture is weird

I guess that the thing that bothers me is the name-dropping. My DD's coach really doesn't want photos of her toddler anywhere on facebook, but once in a while she accidentally gets into an important picture, so she's asked that nobody tag her name to those photos or display her child's name. I would think that the same discretion should be used by an employee and/or friend of Kate's. Like, did she really have to say that she was in "Kate's bathroom"? We wouldn't have known where the picture was taken if she hadn't said so. Similarly, the "Gosselins October 2009" photo album could just have been named "October 2009"

I would never want to be famous (rich would be fine, but not famous) because I would always have to question people's motives.

I'm hoping that MistyDoodles (our banking expert) comes back now that we have the link to Kate's claim. I have a lot of questions about those transactions that were listed in the email from the bank, but your banking system is quite different from ours.

Specifically, if, as Heller says, Jon has no online access, would he have been able to make all of those transactions (like the wire transfer)?

Can someone link to what he said (I don't even know what show it was on) or somehow who saw it, did he say he didn't know who the angry lady was or did he say she was the nanny (w/no mention of bff)?

This is what I thought originally too. My sister is absolutely clueless about Facebook and I could see her doing something like this. Except...the friend has other things private like her profile. This is what I thought originally too. My sister is absolutely clueless about Facebook and I could see her doing something like this. Except...the friend has other things private like her profile. The only thing that seems open is her wall and albums where you can see all the pictures ... all the pictures that scream "here I am with the Gosselins!"

Plus, I think some of her family photo albums are private -- I could be wrong about this though -- because there are pictures tagged of her (which you can see) from albums that don't show up in her profile.

I didn't find the pictures of her with Jon from the summer -- could somebody direct me to the right place?

Regarding the money, I think Kate said during the interview that account was their "liquid" money - which I took to mean that's the stuff they could get their hands on right away. I would assume that most of the money is tied into the kid's names so if something happened to the parents, the kids would still have money (probably "gifted" to the children to avoid taxes??) and you can't just go to the bank and take it out. I'm sure there's more money tied up in other accounts and such - just not available at the drop of a hat.

Who knows how Kate phrased it. Maybe they were doing things with the show that you couldn't just walk up and do (I'm thinking like going to the top of the statue - don't you need advanced tickets for that? And I'm thinking she'd need someone to be at the end of the line to make sure all the kids were making it up/down ok - not something she could do alone) or the places didn't want them if they weren't getting the publicity. If it's true that they only had the $1,000 in the account I don't know that I'd be running off to NYC either with 8 kids if I had bills to pay.

There you go again using logic. I saw it the way you did too. I also did not see the problem with the ring. This was before the money was taken away.

It's kinda weird....you would think (I'm not familiar with how this all works though!) that she (being a J&K employee) would have to sign all the paperwork that Kevin and Jodi said they had to sign about being on the show and the confidentiality agreements (the swimming teachers from NC mentioned those in an interview and I think Stephanie - Jon's sitter mentioned having to sign one). Maybe because they're not filming right now? I'm not sure. It also seems weird that she's (FB friend) claiming to have all the kids when we've seen the "other" nanny dropping the kids at the bus stop. (it would explain yesterday why she only had the twins though maybe)



I missed the Insider...will have to watch a link (thanks to those who provided them!!). I don't know that Jon would refer to her as a friend - it probably looks better to just call her the nanny. I think Jon's smart enough to know (and has made the accusations himself) that she cuts people out and doesn't allow him to see his family. I don't know that he could say, "oh yeah that's her friend". Kind of goes against everything he's said so far so it's probably better for him to just call her the nanny. (again, haven't seen it so I'm not sure how he reacted...just a thought I had)

He did not know about the picture but he knew who was in the picture. He was not upset about it. The picture looks like Colin had just hit Joel & Leah I think.
