I didn't notice that info about the twitter acct. when I went to the website the other day. So now Jon is advertising info for the girlfriend on the site. Wonder how long that will last before it gets removed.

I always thought TLC was the 11th Gosselin...maybe it's actually Hailey...wonder if her prayer list has been added as well. Ugh - tacky all 'round!

I wonder if the vasectomy rumors are true. Why would Jon need a vasectomy if they had sooooo much trouble conceiving?!

I am so glad that Kate has learned to make the most of her time with the kids and seems to spend more quality time with them now than ever before. That is what life is all about, the trials help us to grow and hopefully become better people.

I hope you are right but I can't help but wonder if it's all just for the camera. Part of Kate's new "softer" image.

We never, ever saw her play with the kids before - you'd think she'd be busier than ever now. You know, because she has to do everything “alone”.

Must be confusing for the kids to have one type of mommy when the cameras are rolling and a different type when they aren't ...

What are some great mother things she has done? Gotten rid of her kids' dogs; Christmas presents she got for them? Choosing to film rather than take Cara to the doctor for her foot that hurt for 2 weeks? Trashing their father on TV and rag mags repeatedly? That's just from this week .

I know lots of great mothers. Kate is not one of them.

Did Kate really tell Cara that it was a good thing she didn't need a cast b/c they didn't have time for that?

How has she ever Trashed Jon on TV & in the rag mags? What does trashed mean to you? To me Trashing someone is coming forward with information no one knew or "giving up his tapes" IMO she has been very diplomatic towards him....probably because he has dirt on her but still the same.


We all know Jon forced the issue with the Dogs. She caved trying to fix things with him. She was a good sport about it made it fun. Then he leaves her with the dogs. Shepards were a stupid choice for a family this size. They are 1 owner dog...Jon is the only one they will listen to is my guess.

Why can't Jon take the Dogs back & forth? Seems to be easy, he still has another house in PA he can move into.

WOW it sounds like alot of you point out so much Kate does "wrong" that maybe you all should write a parenting book. just sayin'

LOL. She does put herself out there, so I guess she's fair game.

I also wonder if sometimes people like to see the perceived mistakes other people made, and then their mistakes don't look so bad. I made tons of mistakes bringing up my kids (if I had it to do over again, we wouldn't even have owned a family TV. Just one in our (I almost said 'my' bedroom, but then you all would assume my hubby and I don't share a room) bedroom for news and specials). I think I was too hard on my kids. I think I shouldn't have bought them some of the fancy brand names, just because they wore me down. I think I should have fed them healthier and had more exercise as a family. But now that I see what people pick on Kate for..heck, I look like a model parent, and if I wasn't off on vacation so much lmao spending my kids inheritances, I would write a parenting book...especially since my kids turned out perfect, in spite of me!
And the best part is? My middle child, who was the most difficult to raise (cause she was just like her mom), has made her home handicap accessible in case either of us needs to live with her. Who would have thought LOL!

Do we really know who tipped off the paps in the very beginning with the teacher at Legends? At that time, most of the paps didn't even know who Jon Gosselin was or what he looked like. We just don't know . . .

I don't really know, it seemed like they spent a lot of time at the Amish farm and then the park. Maybe it was the weekend or maybe it was after school.

I don't think school had even started yet when this episode was filmed. Didn't Kate even say in the episode that is was the last of summer or something like it was the end of summer before school starts?

I read somewhere that they lowered the price on the old house because they had no offers. Jon is not going to move back into the old neighborhood. That is beneath him since he moved to the million dollar mansion. Now he's living in an apt in NYC that is probably the size of the closet at the new house-but paying thru the nose rent money!

In regards to the dogs, they didn't pay for them, Kate never wanted them, and the kids were never taught how to handle/play with them. I feel bad for the dogs having to go back to the breeder, but there probably better off. When I saw one of the kids hit the dog with the plastic bat, I know things were not good. There is no way Jon could transport those dogs back and forth to his apt.--they don't have dogs like that in apts in NYC.--especially 2 of them!

TLC is definately trying to portray Kate in a different light. Unfortunately, incidents from the past are hard to forget. I think this show is so scripted and based on advertising $$ that its not reality anymore. Kate is just biding her time till a talk show opens up for her. TLC won't fund a losing program for long!

I've always thought the G kids were so cute, but after Monday's episode I'm beginning to think they're kind of bratty and mean to each other. And LOUD, omg! Yes, I have been around 5 yr olds so I know that the sheer number of them is cause for earplugs, but seriously. They scream at each other constantly. And what was up with Cara? She was acting totally nasty. Also, for being a self-labeled "control freak", can Kate not teach her kids some basic table manners? Every one of them eats with their mouths open and talks with food in their mouths. It's kind of gross to watch.

The Duggars have a ton of kids and they're noisy, too, but they aren't screaming bloody murder in each others faces all day long. They are also polite and have nice manners, most of the the time. I think the Gosselin kids are going to be totally out of control in a few years if the adults don't start telling them "No" once in awhile.

Do you have children? I do and I surely don't run them to the Dr for every little sniffle or complaint they have.

I have three. I would not send someone else to the doctor with my kid while I chose to film instead. I would have taken my child to the doctor much sooner for a hurt foot (still bruised and swollen a week later? Kate's a nurse) Kate is the one who keeps putting herself out there as a martyr who is 'doing it all alone'. She 'does everything for her kids' and I will comment on my perspective as long as she keeps saying it!

Irresponsible people get pets for their kids and then give them back when it's no longer convenient.

Trashing Jon: she repeatedly goes on TV to talk about him and his escapades. This is not necessary and certainly is not 'for the kids'. On the View, one day she stated she was a high road taker, and then the next made a specific point to talk about about Stephanie and Jon in the tabloids. Whoopi commented twice that Kate asked to talk about that specific issue. (that Stephanie and Jon had sex).

I have never gone on TV claiming I do everything for my kids, so I don't have a glass house. I bumble through everyday w/o looking for a pat on the back for just being a mom. I just do it.

I think you may be confusing being a mother, with being a "great" mother. I respect people's opinions who believe Kate isn't evil, or terrible, but a "great" mother? Come on. She is way too self centered to be a great anything, except her own biggest fan. She seems to be only passionate about herself.

The dog thing is a huge deal to many people. Pets are not disposable. They are for life. I think the kids must have a terrible perception of family, extended family, privacy, commitment, priorities, etc. It's sad to me.

That's why I think this new series is boring. These kids have been on TV too long. Time to end the show and let them live a normal life without cameras. Hopefully if someone hires Kate for a talk show, the kids can grab a break. Part of the problem is that they are being raised by nannies and babysitters most of the time and when Mommy or Daddy are there, they seek attention so bad. Kate certainly doesn't discipline like she did in earlier episodes. Guess she doesn't want to be known as the "mean parent". Remember, she's the "fun parent"!

Kara & Mady are old enough to help in the kitchen and I"m sure they are curious about cooking. Its quite obvious that they don't spend much time with Kate in the kitchen by her expressions of fear!!!

We adopt out animals for life. But unfortunately, life happens. Many people need to give up pets after a divorce for many reasons, just like they give them up for job lay-offs, allergies, etc. We get at least one cat returned a week, even after we try our best to help them work it out. Many are because of divorces. There is a lot to work out in any divorce, and the animals are usually at the bottom of the pecking order.

We discussed ad naseum that we didn't think Kate wanted dogs. We also were just as sure that Jon did. Since Jon or Kate do not live in the house full time, at this time, it may have been difficult to keep the dogs. If Jon really wanted to keep him (because I'm pretty sure Kate found they were one more responsibility that would become hers) he could have taken the initiative and built a kennel and hired a full time dog sitter.

Kate has said several times that she has a full time babysitter. I don't know if that sitter is there all the time when she is or not. I also don't know if family is helping at all, but does not want to be a part of the show. We have seen a couple different people we don't recognize in pictures.

Yeah, after watching the Duggars last night and watching the Gosselin's two nights ago, I am reminded that I would rather have a family raised on good values that doesn't eat only organic food and do all the hip, "posh," things than a family who eats only organic, "never" eats fast food or unnatural food stuffs, and has a mother who is always acting like the 8 kids are an burden, but sugarcoated as being an "accomplishment."

The biggest difference I see between the Duggars and the Gosselins is that the Duggars are happy to have all their kids. Never have I heard the Duggars complain about having so many kids. On the other hand, the Gosselins are always talking about how hard it is to have 8 kids and how they need so much help to keep things in line.

It's all about your mental attitude. If you are positive and willing, things will get done. If you are negative and give up easily, things will seem more difficult. It's not the materialistic things (organic foods, lavish homes, and many vacations) that make a family strong.

Before the Duggars came on the other night, I was watching the tail end of an old episode of J&K. It's amazing how different their lives were prior to the rift. The kids behave differently. The parents even acted differently. Now, I feel a huge piece is gone in each J&K episode. The ratings are even starting to show it.

I have heard the kids speak nicely to people that they meet, but rarely to one another. I think they still act like toddlers, and the twins are hitting tween brattiness after no break from their normal whininess. The corn shuking scene would have been okay I guess if I had not earlier seen a "behind the scenes" shot of the set. You wouldn't believe the people, props, and lighting involved in just that scene. No spontaneity at all left in this show.

The kids at the produce stand seemed out of control. Henry probably was glad to see them leave for the 200 degree play ground that Kate would have normally played with them on, but it was just too hot for her! Why didn't she cut Maddy's corn off the cob since she has braces? Why didn't she take her own child to the Dr.? Who does that? It is like she is spoofing herself. Is this all one big punked on the viewers? Nobody is really like this family, right?

ITA! Exactly how I felt about this episode. Kate and Jon are nobody's without those kids. There excuse for everything is the 8 kids, the large family. Well guess what, your not the only large family in America. You just happened to choose to put your life on tv for everyone to see. You do get freebies and perks and free trips, but is it worth it??
