All of the recent articles, including the ABC interview (I think) said that it was $75,000 each. .

And I thought it said $75,000 each show. But either way it's a lot of money, even after 40-50% taxes and deductions. I'd take it.
So someone has or hasn't seen papers where the judge gave Kate the right to dole out the money to Jon?

If they ever stop the show and slink away, will we then start a help group for us? I have never had so much fun entertainment, while waiting for my orders to print (babysitting the printer). It used to be boring, but not now..in fact I wish I had a slower printer LOL! I think my husband is catching on..I never ask him to sit the printer anymore!

Let us count the ways that Jon Gosselin's D-baggery continues to amaze us. One: Nice guy that he is, he's giving his kids' beloved dogs back to the breeder because Kate doesn't take good enough care of them, according to Perez Hilton. Two: The National Enquirer reveals the father of eight has had a vasectomy -- and drops the info as a pickup line. We'll leave that one alone. As for the dogs, the kids seem to love 'em, but Jon doesn't seem to care too much about the kids' feelings these days. (Sept. 17)

What's even more interestingto me is that in the short time this has been up, 1200 people have commented on it. Not good comments, but comments just the same. There is interest in this couple, even from those who say they can't stand them, won't watch the show. It's like Jerry Springer..no one admits to liking him, but he's still on TV. Bad or good, and type of talk about them, keeps them alive.

*From what I have read - Jon says he's unhappy and begins counseling, Kate tells him she doesn't need counseling since she doesn't have a problem, big house and puppies were final attempts to find that happiness. Probably should have tried marital counseling instead*

January - Ski trip to Utah where Jon says Kate came back with security and he stayed alone *(Deanna not reported here at this point)*

*Jon was with his mom early February through Valentines. He was with the Glassman's memorial weekend.*
I'd be curious to see how that fits into this as well.....I guess I have more research to do tomorrow!

Also, is there a "time line" for this whole mess out there somewhere? I've tried googling for one before (from the divorce or the beginning of everything) and haven't been able to find one..

I probably have more that can be added to this ... as soon as I finish my PTO newsletter, cooking dinner, tagging consignment sale stuff, and helping the kids with homework.

There is no proof that Jon bought any cars for anybody -- in fact, he is leasing the vehicles that he drives. And Hailey's family has a lot more money than the Gosselins -- if she wanted a car she could just call her dad, but she probably has at least one in her own name already.

Also, Jon never had access to Kate's money or most of his own, even when he worked outside the home. Not that I agree with his alledgedly buying jewelry for Hailey, but there is still no proof that he did (anymore than there is proof that he bought an engagement ring for Deanna -- guess everybody forgot about that story)

I thought her father was a plastic Surgeon, are they old money? Jon & Kate make over $3,000,000 a year on the show if they are only getting $75,000 per show or $6,000,000 if they are getting the $150,000. per show.

and for those keeping track ... Kate was/is gone for quite a stretch this time. NYC, Charlotte, and now filming the TV pilot this weekend ... I wonder how much Jon is paying attention to the children with the current tabloid disaster.

Jon and Kate both , were gone on Monday. Jon was out partying after the MTV Music Video awards. I'm sure you wasn't home Tuesday morning when the kids went to school, he probably was there by Tuesday afternoon.

It was sad, when he was loading up the dogs, and he made a whinny comment how Kate was on The View, like she wouldn't care, and he gave that shrug to his shoulders. Then he yelled for the kids to say goodbye to the dogs. The kids probably thought they were going to the vet

I'm betting the divorce will not be final next week.

I agree with this 100%. The Gosselin's are rolling is dough compared to a Plastic Surgeon's yearly salary.

Thanks! I am sort of keeping track. But only because her friend leaked last week that Kate always stayed within 10 miles of the kids in case there was an emergency. Hmmm. Her work schedule this week doesn't seem in line with that.

Wow, thanks for the warning. Strong stuff. Way TMI. Now if my soon-to-be-divorced, pot-head, suicidal, drunken, skirt-chasing husband were hanging out with the likes of her I would not be more than 10 miles away. I'd be asking my attorney for a restraining order and full custody as of yesterday. I'd be barricading myself in with the kids.

Sounds right to me. I think that (per Jon) October was separate lives, but the Show Must Go On. Also, I think the first sighting of Jon with Hailey also included Hailey's Mom. It was a holiday weekend?

How would she have a choice? If she baracaded herself with the kids or refused to let Jon have them on his days, she could go to jail. If they fought enough about it, the kids would be given their own lawyer and possibly be split up into foster homes. It's been a long time since custody had anything to do with someone having someone in their home sleeping with them, with the kids home.
The source did say Kate would try to be (I thought she said try..did she not?) within 10 miles..but even if she was (like she was in fact) what good would it do her?
Times have cahanged. This is the way it is nowadays. I bet having a gal sleeping with their dad in their house while they are there will have no impact. Nada. Now, if he was smoking pot, that might have an impact.
I know someone whose child hates being with her dad. Screams and screams and begs to stay with his mom. He's said some interesting stuff too..that would make me want to run for the border. He has girlfriends, parties in the house. But if the mom does run (and she has very little money to do it anyway), or stops the dad from seeing him, the mom will be in jail. How will that help the child? They've been to court over and over, and that's the way it is.

Not only that but he'll be paying a staff, getting malpractice insurance, renting out a space etc while TLC handles all of that for Jon & Kate AND they get a ton of stuff for free to show it off on the show. But it doesn't really matter, Hailey isn't rich, her parents are. We don't know if they've given her anything or want her to earn it on her own.

I can't comment on the icky details (because I really just skimmed as quickly as possible over them ) but I did notice her quoting the kids, and have to say there is no way those kids said those things to her. Either she or the writer of the article went a bit overboard there re. the kids asking if Stephanie was going to be their new mommy.

I agree with your additions, plus Walden's comment about the first time Hailey came on the scene her mother was there. We didn't see her again until France, although Jon and Hailey both say they talked on the phone throughout the gap.

Also, I think Madge and I agree that Jon was sleeping in the basement of the old house (maybe that's part of this, or maybe Kate didn't like the way he breathed when he was sleeping)

And I wonder how long it took them to put the divorce announcement show together ie. the divorce was announced on June 24th (I think) but they must have spent a few days planning the show and putting it together before that. Kate also did the article in People 4 days before she filed for divorce (the one that Jon didn't know was coming). They must have made the decision to do the show about 2 weeks before it aired, I think, and at that point they would have been living completely separate lives.

But they're making $150,000 per show now -- I thought they started out at $40,000 total per show with less shows. Plus they've only been on for 4 1/2 seasons. Dr. Glassman has been a plastic surgeon for over 20 years, and is co-owner of the clinic.

Either way, I was just trying to point out that Hailey doesn't need Jon's money to buy a car.

I agree, Hailey has enough money from her father. Plastic surgeons are at the top of the food chain (money wise). I do think Karma is going to get Jon & Kate. First off, I work with a girl who had a tummy tuck after a multiple birth and she looked great afterwards----fast forward, the fat redistributes--better watch out Kate. I'm sure it won't be long before Jon gets arrested for DWI or something similar. I hope the judge sentences him to work at the SPCA---too bad the dogs and cats will have to be subjected to him though!!

I think J & K were getting $75,000 total per episode. This is a cable channel and they aren't movie stars. TLC also foots the bill for a lot of stuff and probably paid for 1/2 the house for filming--doesn't it have special lighting built in??? Larry King asked Kate something in his interview about why are you letting TLC dictate to you?? She looked like a deer in headlights!!!

Kate or no Kate, I can honestly say that is a show I would NEVER watch. I am not a fan of Sandra Bernhard at all.

And that is one interesting line up! Strong personalities all around!

Kate, Paula and Sandra Bernhard????? Huh. What a weird combo. Is Sandra Bernhard a mom?

I might watch the first show, but I can't stand Sandra Bernhard, mix her in with Paula's laugh and I might not even make it through the whole first episode.

the few weeks before and after Kate's appearance here, I was paying pretty close attention to what was happening between Jon & Kate. From early March through mid-May, I'd say. My timeline gets fuzzy before and after that.

I can't muster up the strength to read the article, but what the heck have these two done to those kids if they keep wondering if they are getting a new mommy or daddy? (will you marry a new daddy?) I just can't believe they would ever say that to someone they knew, what, a week? Dang Jon moves faster in a weeks time than most men do in a year!
