Point Rentals and Commercial Use - Actual Experiences.

Has Disney actually been denying or restricting Rental Reservations that are made by the members who own them? I know they ask for an attestation that it is not being used for Commercial purposes, but who has actually had any reservations denied? I'd like to hear about it.

I don't think there have been actual reports of it happening, but I could be wrong.

I have not seen any reports of people being stopped from booking any reservations.

But, owners who have been flagged by DVC as renting in a way that DVC decides it looks like it’s a violation of the commercial use policy are probably not shouting it out on the internet.

Remember, personal use does not mean it’s not a rental…it’s just means that you are not renting to the degree that DVC sees you as renting as a commercial enterprise, purpose or practice.

Renting your points is allowed so it comes down to how many reservations you have at the same time, and how frequent that might trigger DVc to question you.

As long as you attest that the reservation, even if a rental, falls within what you believe is within the rules under personal use, they are confirming them.
