Yes, I thought that very same thing this morning. Couple that with him buying that first sports car before the separation and without her consent.

I wonder if Kate got Jon's consent when she bought her new SUV? I guess Jon took the highroad and kept it out of the press.

Headline: Kate sells Jon's Motorcycle she had to include his wedding ring to close the deal.

You joke, but it wouldn't surprise me one bit to see that headline.

Ok, the motorcycle thing, I'm not sure if thats a joke but I thought Jon said the other night I think on LKL that he didn't have the motorcycle. That TLC took it and said they would give it to him IF he was good until the end of the season?

Jeesh, I would hate to think I'm dreaming about these two (blech) So did I dream it or does someone else remember that?

I actually had some bills in my purse this morning.... but I think she meant tht more figuritively than literally.....

I think they have investments (including their 2 homes) and maybe not much in liquid assets.

3) if Jon has been prone to taking large amounts of money since before June, WHY would Kate still have a joint account with him, one they pay bills out of? That should have been taken care of before now.

Maybe she trusted that he wouldn't pull the rug out from under their family- no matter how mad he was at her, maybe she thought he would put the kids first. But I agree- and would have put the household bills and money in the hands of a lawyer whose sole interest is the welfare of the kids.

4) hey her kids can't go to NY and they are sobbing over it, but by gosh, Kate will have a new ring even if she has to work at McD's to pay for it!

I want a diamond anniversary ring- I talk about it and think about it.... doesn't mean I'm going to sell a kidney to buy it tomorrow.

I think Jon may be right about her not thinking clearly. My advice....get off TV to think about things for a while. You both look like giant behinds, while the nanny is tending the kids.

Jon is certainly in no position to be judging anyones judgement calls. His new BFF is Michael Lohan for God's sake....

We're told Jon & Kate Gosselin aren't living hand to mouth, but the $200,000 account that Jon raided was the only real source of living income.

There's a report out that the couple is saddled with a $720,000 mortgage on their $1.12 million house. There was talk that TLC bought the house for them outright but we've learned that is not true. TLC paid them a salary and that's it.

We're told Jon and Kate have established a trust fund for their kids and it's well into the 6 figures, but they have significant debt. They still haven't been able to sell their first house and they owe a mortgage on it.The reality is "Jon & Kate Plus 8" is good for the 8 but Jon and Kate are kinda strapped.

I certainly hope that a 6 figure trust fund has been set aside for the kids.

Many people assume that TLC pays for everything just like the mansion but that is not the facts. Jon and Kate have both stated themselves that the house was being paid for by them alone. Matt Roloff has also stated that TLC does not pay as much or for the things that many people think.

I wonder if TLC pays at least the electricity. If not, they are getting the short end because I'm sure studio lighting takes a lot more juice than regular lighting.

Now that's not nice- maybe she doesn't do things the way you would- but she's still their Mom- she loves her kids. Just like Jon is making some really stupid moves... but he's still their Dad and he loves them...........

Ok, this is weird I know, but ITA with you about this.

I do feel sorry for the kids, but these are the only parents they have.

We've learned the judge in the Kate Gosselin vs. Jon Gosselin case (formerly known as ("Jon & Kate Plus 8") will hold a conference call between the battling lawyers in the next half hour, and there could be an order forcing Jon to return several hundred thousand dollars back to their joint account.

It will be interesting if the judge lets Jon's lawyer, Mark Heller, on the call -- he's not licensed to practice in PA.

Yeah, elaborate much? Even Kate said it wasn't hundreds of thousands of dollars. But I am looking forward to hearing what the judge said to them, because you know that both sides will have to tell us their spin about this.

You miss my point. Kate stated that she filed after Jon took a large chunk of cash from the account. Couple that with him buying a sports car months before (he was photographed with Deanna in that car, so back in March?) and it shows why she felt the need to protect the cash.

Jon hasn't taken the high road on any part of this. Neither one of them can seem to find it.

So their gross income would have been under 3,000,000 for all of this (and that's assuming they were getting the $22,000 the entire series which they probably weren't), half is probably gone to taxes so they've only gotten 1.5 million at the very most. A third of that is tied up in housing and they owe 750k on ONE of their houses. I'm betting the rest of their money is going to go to lawyers I liked the show, I liked watching them and this whole thing is just downright sad.

As much as I think they are both being stupid right now I hope Kate can find some sort of job in the media to support the kids. It's becoming painfully obvious that Jon won't be the one to protect what they got out of Jon & Kate.

Again I wish they were just forgive each other...they dont have to be best friends but at least be civil enough for your children. Do they not realize they are dragging their kids through the mud along with each other????? Those kids are attached to this whole thing. They might not understand everything right now but they WILL. They won't be children forever.

She also admitted that around the same time she withdrew $100,000 from that account -- she decided to split that with Jon when the arbitrator was assigned. We never learned how much his withdrawal was for.

And then some time after the arbitrator was assigned, she completely drained that bank account and the arbitrator forced her to put it back.

IMO, it was Kate's choice to make this public even though they hadn't spoken to the arbitrator about it yet. It could have been hushed up just as much as her prior withdrawals but she chose not to.
