Celebrity (pseudo-celebrity) or not, it is just plain rude to bother someone when they are seated at a restaurant. I remember some celebrities I adored in the past made this very clear, if you approached them while dining, they would snub you. Wait until they were done and leaving.

she's camping with the girls, alone? that surprises me, for some reason .. :rotfl:

I'm finding myself caring less and less about this whole thing, and I'm not up on my links these days. Off to read about camping trips ...

It's being filmed , if that lessens the surprise a bit. ;)
Colman must be a BIG sponsor these days, 'cause she went twice once with the boys and once with the girls plus this week's backyard camping episode.
That is one outdoorsy lady.

I just think everyone should be able to eat in peace, that's all. And I can get really snippy if I'm tired and hungry and stressed so who knows? Maybe she wasone or all threee of these things. Who knows what they did before eating there. Maybe as they were shopping or whatever they were hounded and she was over it. And do we know how *snippy* she was? Maybe she politely said, "We'd like to eat first." Or maybe she snarled at them and was a grouch.

I do not think someone being famous gives anyone else the right to bother them. Leave them all alone is MO on it. So it is Jon, so what? Leave him alone. Kate? Same thing. Angelina, Tom Brady, Tim McGraw? Leave them all alone. JMHO. People can be such vultures.

But most kids love camping. Me? I'm not such a fan of it. But I have camped with DD because she likes it. We took her to WDW for a week and then went camping in the Smokies one weekend and she's at the campground saying, "This is the best vacation ever!" Yeah, OK, whatever...:headache:

You know, on one hand I can see why she would be snippy but on the other hand it actually surprises me that she is snippy.

When your only job is a reality show that relies on fans and viewership you would think that you would go out of your way to be friendly with you fans. They are also buying your books, your clothing line, and whatever else she has coming.

I think that is how she is (you've seen the show, right? giggle). It says she wasn't nice to the staff, either. Further, have you or anyone ever heard a report of her being lovely and gracious ever in any situation? I haven't.

I wonder if this is true and if so, why? If so, this would answer the "Where's Jon?" question.

But before you say Jon should have been home with his other children, RadarOnline.com has heard through the grapevine that he and Kate have an agreement that prevents him from going to the Pennsylvania house when it’s her designated time with the kids. So even though Kate was out of town, Jon still wasn’t allowed to be home.

I'm wondering how Jon's prada shoes and Kate's ann taylor clothes are going to help pay for the kids college. yea, they have to look nice for the inteviews but you can look great from kohls.

EXACTLY what I've been wondering. Maybe 13 years from now they'll start hawking their duds on eBay.

I completely agree with you. In fact, I don't bother any celebrity period. I used to work in Tribeca across the street from DeNiro's restaurants/building. I have seen more celebrities walking their dogs, eating lunch or just plain existing. I never bother them. I would only gawk at someone that was filming. I figured they were working so it was okay.

Nobody should really bother Kate and the kids when they are out but many people don't have my philosophy so that stinks for her. And really, this is paparazzi/gawking is relatively new (past 6 months or so).

I agree. Did you all see the pictures online of Brad & Angelina pulling in the drive-thru of McDonald's? Good grief, the paps were having a field day, fame comes at a very high price. They had pictures online of Jon a few weeks ago buying a swiffer mop for his new pad...I mean who cares, leave them alone.

Ann Taylor and Prada are not even in the same category - Prada is much more expensive.

Kohls prices are some of their items isn't that much more then Ann Taylor.

You also don't see Kate out at the bars buying everyone shots!

Thru the grapevine is not the most reliable, but it certainly could be true. Many people take this line with custody. We have some friends that have it written in the parenting plan that when one needs a babysitter they will offer to the other parent first. Which seems like a better way to me, but who knows.

Looks like Kate and the girls were in Florida. I agree with her on this one. I don't think fans should be bothering anyone when they are in a restaurant eating lunch, especially when she is out spending time with her kids.

I'm told she behaved the same way when she was here -- without the kids.

disclaimer: I do not have first hand knowledge of Kate's action, but a friend of mine was at the restaurant and does. I trust my friend's assessment. :upsidedow

I also agree with those who think people should be left alone at restaurants. I don't like to be bothered when I have a mouth full of food. LOL.

lovely & gracious might be a bit much, but I did hear from someone (again, I didn't witness it personally .. heard from a friend) who met Kate at the local Target. It's my understanding that Kate posed for a picture, and while she didn't really have much to say, she was polite to the fans. It's one of the few positive things I heard about Kate's day here.

ok ... someone needs to explain something to me.

Kate has been filming in Florida this week with some of the children (pics anywhere?)

Kate will be appearing in Austin, Texas this weekend. Are the girls with her? DId they go back to PA and only Kate is traveling?

Jon is in New York? He's not with the non-traveling children? I thought I read he was to be with the children when Kate's working.

And finally, Kate is appearing on The Today Show Monday. Will she go home first, then to NYC or will she go straight from Texas to NYC?

Do I have it correct? Help me understand this one, someone ...

That is my understanding. Is Kate also scheduled for another show this week? Wasn't it Regis and Kelly?

I don't remember reading anything about the arrangement of watching the kids when one is traveling/working. I only know the little blurb on RO that said they can't be at the house if it isn't their day.

And finally, Kate is appearing on The Today Show Monday. Will she go home first, then to NYC or will she go straight from Texas to NYC? Kate could have taped this segment already. Just because they say they are going to be on a morning show, it doesn't necessarily mean it is "live". She could have taped it 2 weeks ago with the Today show.

Do I have it correct? Help me understand this one, someone ...
Madge, you were usually the one that straightens everything out for us.

I know I heard Jon say at least once that he would be with the kids when Kate had to go "work". And then Kate would be with them when he was "working".

she is -- I would think that she'd go home between the two shows, if it's her day to be with the children. it isn't that far to NYC from her house, right?

Jon was quoted in an interview saying he'd have the kids. it was a fairly recent article.

lousy tabloid article or not-i think jon has gotten some great p.r. advice based on what his newest interview puts out there.

if he's not getting filmed when he's with the kids it's a "he said/she said" battle on weather he is using a nanny or not (i'm guessing no nanny in his/her right mind is going to take sides in a situation like this) or if he's cooking meals or ordering in. whereas-if film exists during the period of times kate is with the kids it at least documents what she is doing WITH the kids for a fixed period of time during HER custody.

now, i still don't buy into the "we only film 2 hours a day" shpeal. i suspect it's much longer-and even if it's limited to 2 hours per day are we talking 2 continuous hours OR 2 hours of filming that may be 10 minutes here (with the kids sitting around for 2 hours while another scene is being set up or they are being dragged to another location) and then 20 minutes there?....that could eat up hours upon hours per day (and we've seen them doing activities or at home that occured in one single day that we know were more than 2 hours in duration-i don't believe for one minute they got all the film by turning on the camera and setting a timer for 2 hours then shutting it off. it was on/off, on/off for hours on end).

the whole "look at all the wonderful things i am doing with the kids" line by either of them that is being backed up obviously staged filming or photos does'nt impress me one iota. i will be far more impressed by what i don't see photographicaly documented-at least i'll know that for that rare period of time those poor kids were'nt being exploited for someone's financial benefit.
