Hey, has anyone actually seen Madge?

I'm here! It's just a busy (good lord, I just typed busT. how's that for a typo??!) day! I'm waiting for the kids to finish cleaning the bathroom so we can go to the pool. LOL.

Kate Gosselin has actually seen me, not that she'd remember or anything ... But, I was sitting right in her line of sight at the church speech in March. LOL.

Wow - Kate definitely got some new "bubbies" (shout out to the RHWONJ ) - when did she have the time to do that?

It's embedded in the back of my mind forever - no escaping my MIL weeding in her suit bent over & not caring who sees.

We had to stay with her a few mo. while our house was being built, I was pregnant (these were the days before "below the belly" panties came out). I pulled in the driveway one day & she had mine & Dh's underwear, bras, & panties hanging out on her line. I thought I would die. I don't like people doing my laundry much less hanging them out for the world to see.

I really needed therapy by the time I escaped.

DH and I had a long-distance relationship while I was in college, and during summers I would come up and stay with my future in-laws. I loved my MIL, but almost passed out one day when I came downstairs to see my undies soaking in a glass of bleach and water on her kitchen windowsill.

I don't know who is at fault in this divorce thing, but I just read the scanned People article and it really looks like Kate is pointing fingers. I'm sorry, but I just think it takes TWO to make a marriage work, and obviously, they have BOTH failed.

She stated that she felt like she had to file for divorce based on Jon's actions over the weekend (for the protection of her children). I wonder if it had anything to do with him handing out autographs at the gate to their driveway??? Just a thought. Let me know what you think...

I've been thinking either financial because he's been looking at real estate in NYC or maybe he had one of his girlfriends spend the night in the house.

If I was using the pool I'd parade around like that in my own yard. Most likely I'd cover up if I was standing at someone's car talking though.

The suit looks too small all over to me. I am still not so sure those are fake. It is definitely a push up bra top (like a demi bra or whatever) and they make plenty of suits like that for VS that enhance even in a bathing suit. So maybe they are, maybe they aren't.

But she needs a bigger suit and should get that cute white cover-up she owns and take it outside to the pool with her!!

That was my first thought, the top is not even laying flat on her rib cage. Not sure if she has had implants but maybe a lift of some kind?

Defend her from what? Why do I care if she is in her yard in a bikini. And maybe she sunburned her scalp. This is such petty garbage.

Is Matthew Mcconaughy crazy like Brittany Spears too cause he is always half naked running around with his kid? Oh, maybe it's only crazy if your a mom. Dads can do whatever they want, like pierce both ears, cheat, and say after having 8 kids that they don't know what they want to do with their life.

But heaven forbid a woman walk around in a bikini in her yard. And with a HAT on. Shocking.

My neighbor wears her bathing suit to do yard work...she is in her 60's and does not look anywhere as good a Kate does. Of course it is a one piece but she has been out mowing the lawn, working in her garden and other stuff in her suit (no cover up). She does not have a pool so no excuse there and we live very close to other houses..plus right next door to a church and it's parking lot. She'll stand around talking to people (like the mailman) too..she doesn't care at all. Not what I would do but if she's comfortable that way than more power to her.

That is how I took it as well. Not that he is without fault - but she rarely gives the man any credit at all.

His parenting style may be the opposite of her style but that does not mean he is not a parent, it does not mean his day with them is not as hard as her day with the etc. On one episode she made a snotty comment about how it wasn't that bad as he had help. I doubt she sends the help home when she's there.

In Kate's mind nobody has it as rough as she does. When she's gone Jon still has the same 8 children to take care of and his method of taking care of them is more physical since he takes them for walks in the woods, plays lacrosse, roller blades etc. Kate sits in a plastic chair and talks on the phone.

Also, is there a pool on that property? I don't remember ever seeing one. Secondly, who is driving and who is in the car?


Finally, what is with the hats??? It makes me wonder if she cut her hair and hates it and doesn't want the world to see it until she is able to fix it with extensions or for it to grow....

Totally agree. Sheesh, I'm away for a couple of hours and come back to close-ups of Kate's 'girls' in a bikini. It's her property for crying out loud. In order to walk from her pool to her driveway, should she cover up? She looks pretty darn good IMO as well. Oh the nerve of her wearing a bikini on her property to use her pool and visit with friends.

BTW Michelle, I had a dream about your BFF Kate last night! I thought you'd get a kick out of that and feel good knowing you're not the only one!

Kate sure is making an effort to be a hot lady lately. Does anyone think she is trying to attract a new husband? If so, do you think anyone would marry her after seeing her relationship style on the show? Maybe she learned her lesson? Maybe she would be a better wife to someone with more backbone than Jon? Opinions?

I'm not really taking sides in this divorce thing at all, but I find Kate's comments in the article just "eye-rolling". I know I just posted this, but I just keep shaking my head, going "WTH?"

Maybe I read that wrong, but she basically said that her kids love her and love being around her and they only love Jon because he's "daddy". I haven't seen Jon out there bashing Kate, YET. We'll see what's to come, but I don't believe Kate in the victim role. Like I said, I think they are both responsible.

I can completely understand your point of view - but as a person who does not watch the show and does not click on any of the links (unless I'm led to believe it's Jon & Kate actually speaking or have given an interview to a reliable source) this is the only place I read and/or post because I am waiting for the day that I come on here and see that it has been confirmed that the show has been cancelled permanently..When that happens, I'll be gone.. I don't care what happens with Jon & Kate - they are adults.. I care about the kids and it's my opinion that they have been terribly exploited by this show.. When it ends, I'll go off into the sunset (in terms of this thread) and pray with all of my heart that those 8 kids can somehow go on to live a life of privacy - with as little additional damage as possible..

Again - just "my" opinion - which I'm sure not everyone will agree with..

Well said and that is exactly how I feel.

I stopped watching the show a long time ago.

However, for some reason I can not stop waiting to hear what is happening to these kids. I cannot let it go. I feel someone needs to step up to the plate here and be the bigger man.

On another thread I posted a link to a petition to get the show off of the air and I was brutally flamed for it. I was told I was "bossing" people around and taking the show away from those who wanted to watch it.

I feel I was letting people know there was something they could do if they wanted to. I know signing a petition is probably not the best solution, but at least I feel like I did something, however small and trivial.

And as for the taking the show away from those who want to watch it - what about those kids?

2 quotes come to mind - one was from Kevin Krieder (Aunt Jodi's Husband). He said "How are these kids going to feel when they grow up and realize that every brithday, every family vacation and every outing they had was just for ratings?"

The other one came from a blog where the writer said "These kids do not have the right to say stop filming me, the choice is not theirs. What if they do not want everyone in their class to know how they were punsihed or how they were potty-trained".

I have to agree with both of these quotes whole-heartedly. Can you imagine going for a job interview knowing that your future boss knows everything about you? Or how about trying to date? These kids are having their right to a life taken from them.

As for the "sides". I am not on Jon's or Kate's as I feel they both have responisiblities here. I am certainly not on TLCs as I feel that they should pay out the remaining contract and pull the plug on this show. I am, however on the kids side.

I have one question for the PP I quoted - C.Ann - do you follow the Kreider's or just Jon and Kate? I have been following the Krieder interviews and feel that at least someone out there is trying to be a voice for the kids.

If I had the time and the funds, I would probably make the effort, too, especially after I had just spent the last 8 years raising 8 kids, was currently in the media spotlight, had my husband just leave me, and had access to tanning booths, spas, plastic surgeons and fashionable clothes.

I think she would definitely be a better wife to someone who stood up to her more. Jon was a passive-aggressive wuss, and I think over time, Kate lost respect for him, which made her behavior towards him worse, especially in high stress situations such as the births of premie sextuplets.

I also think many men would see Kate as a challenge. I am sure she won't have trouble finding someone new.
