did they not get a new stove from whirlpool?

I don't recall seeing any appliances. :confused3 This segment was just them ripping out all of the old kitchen and starting to align the new cabinets. Next Monday's episode will have the continuation of the kitchen remodel.

I might be wrong (please correct me if I am) but I thought I heard her say that her "new best friend's husband" worked for a company that remodeled kitchens and that they wanted to redo her kitchen for her.... and of course she said YES
True that, but TLC fuzzed out the workers t-shirt. So it must have been a "friend perk".

I just wanted to say "WAY TO GO KATE!". If my husband was too busy running around with young girls, I am not sure I would have gumption to say I can do it! She is not outdoorsy; neither I am. My verison of camping is in my camper with ac, cable and wifi! :rotfl2: Granted a tent three feet from you house isn't camping; however, I love her can do attitude! She it trying and that speaks volumes, at least to me!:thumbsup2

I so agree. I think if my husband were out doing the things Jon has been doing I would want to just bury my head and cry. Kate did what she had to do and I give her huge kudo's for camping with the kids. :thumbsup2

Kate said on tonight's episode that they use the pool a lot. Just because we don't see them in pictures using it doesn't mean they're not. It's their property so they can use it however they wish. Just because we don't see pictures or episodes of them using it, doesn't mean they're not. Know what I mean?

They can't be photographed by paps in the back, that area is not viewable by anyone. So the kids don't have to be hidden inside, they can use any other part of the 23 acres they own. The only area paps can get pictures is the driveway- garage area.

Actually Kate said that even though paparazzi are there, she refuses to hide the kids inside. They deserve to do normal things and if the paparazzi happen to be there, so be it. Something to that effect. This was in the context of the paps being at the beach (Bald Head Island) where they were vacationing.

I certainly don't think their every move, every vacation, every outing is filmed. If that were true, we'd be seeing lots of Starbucks filming! :rotfl: Kate certainly goes there a bit but then again, so do I. ;)

Ok, well actors are not filmed at their houses. The g's house is a set for a tv show.

Have you watched other people's home movies before? Kids are VERY silly when there's a camera around. That's a very normal reaction. I think the Gosselin kids are acting like regular kids. Now if one them starts asking for a personal assistant then I'd be worried!

I only heard "my best friend's husband". :confused3

I really enjoyed watching the kids tonight, they have grown so much. The tups are all talking clearly and Mady and Cara have changed as well, they are all such precious children.

I had no idea that Jon & Kate have known Carla for 20 years, the kids really seem to like her daughter Ashley.

I'm glad Kate straightened a few questions out for us.

She uses her phone, as a watch. She looks at it to see what time it is.

The bibs are officially thrown out.

Anyone catch anything else?

Lol....I've been soo busy!! I got a part time job but it's been mostly full time!! Got hired for 20 hours a week, turned into 30 hours a week and last week it was 37 hours!! That just means more money for Disney!! :thumbsup2

To keep this OT, I think about the Gosselins a lot at work because I work in the infant room of a daycare!! It's crazy....we have a 4-1 ratio and it's crazy sometimes with 2 adults to 4 babies!! I can't imagine what it was like with 6 of them!!

Hey! :goodvibes I used to work at a daycare for a private preschool and LOVED the baby room! It was hard when there were more crying babies than adults who could hold them though! My DH jokes that when my 3 girls are grown, I should work at the hospital in the maternity ward nursery with all the newborns.

On topic, I can't imagine either what it would be like to have 6 little preemies like Kate had. I'm sure I'd have freaked and been super paranoid about them. Goodness, I was paranoid enough when my 1st was born!

BTW, you can never have enough $ for Disney! So come clean, have had any more dreams about your BFF Kate? :goodvibes

How would anyone know whether they use the pool much? It's in the back and the paps can't get pictures there, right? So, since we don't have pictures, we don't think they ever go back there?:confused3 We only see them in the front, because that is where the paps can photograph them.

I agree. Cara & Mady were adorable on the interview couch together, you could really see they 'twin' commraderie there. So cute. I didn't realize Kate had known Carla that long either. Ashley seems like a sweetheart and the kids obvioulsy love her.

Oh Mari, you're on the ball! Yup, I didn't see ANY bibs anywhere either. It seemed they had a great time at the beach but I thought it was sad when Kate said she kept thinking to herself that Jon wasn't there. Then she said the kids kept saying they wished he were there too. What a shame they couldn't have worked things out.

I thought Kate did a great job making sure the kids had a good time camping.
It really made me sad when she was sitting on the beach and said she was thinking about Jon not being there....:sad2:

and we all know now he was in NYC dating a 23 yr old at that time:rolleyes::rolleyes:

even my DH said he felt sorry for her. I have to admit her attitude seems a lot different...less controling.....less confidant.

:rotfl: I have an iphone....I'll have to use that excuse the next time someone gives me a hard time about playing with it too much. :upsidedow

The bibs are officially thrown out.

thank the lord. I was afraid she would send the bibs to kindergarten. LOL.

I only heard "my best friend's husband". :confused3
That is what I heard, too.

How would anyone know whether they use the pool much? It's in the back and the paps can't get pictures there, right? So, since we don't have pictures, we don't think they ever go back there?:confused3 We only see them in the front, because that is where the paps can photograph them.
And where the kids ride their bikes. That is the same as when they were little (and before the non-stop "photogs" [Jon's word] ) My kids rode their bikes out front, too.

Haven't we seen Ashley before? For some reason, I thought we had.

When they were moving the stove out, it looked kind of rusty and cruddy on the back bottom, so maybe they needed a reno? They did say that it had been planned (who knows? maybe even before they moved in? :confused3 )

Oh, and I think Kate said the PA helped move the tent. Thanks to the previous poster who explained what that was. (I don't have one. I'm not familiar with the term. )

I have to say I didn't miss Jon at all - he always seems so blah when he sits and talks.

They can't be photographed by paps in the back, that area is not viewable by anyone. So the kids don't have to be hidden inside, they can use any other part of the 23 acres they own. The only area paps can get pictures is the driveway- garage area.
I'm sure they do use the rest of their property, and since they only tape for a few hours a few days a week, they may spend most of their time there. The paps have gotten pics of them in their suits before so I assume they have been in the pool. The kids seemed very comfortable in the pool. Their driveway area where they play is a long way from the road. The paps have to use long lenses and get around trees to get the pictures. It's also a great place to ride the cars and their bikes. Just because we see pics from the paps doesn't mean they spend most of their time out front. It just means that when they do, the paps snap away and post the pictures. It's their home, their driveway, their right, and just like we always used our driveway, they enjoy using theirs.

Ok, Kate got a new fridge right after they moved in. Is that one also replaced in the new kitchen?
How far actually are they from thier old house, neighbours and family?

I think Kate did a great job tonight. I have BTDT with the husband dating while still married. It is NOT easy and you don't feel like doing anything, let alone a task with 8 children you admittedly are not good at.

Good for her. This situation will teach her A LOT and I think we are going to see a new Kate. I already sense a softer, less controling one although I tend to like type A people... :lmao:

Jon. Blah. I am not a fan.

Don't know if this has been posted, but you can now buy a wig resembling Kate's hair :rotfl:
http://omg.yahoo.com/news/2009s-hottest-halloween-costume-kate-gosselin/25958

:rotfl: This is great! I may need one. I may go to WDW in Oct. with my best friend and she is a dead ringer for a chunkier Sara Palin and does a great impersonation of her (doesn't even need a wig!) We could do MNSVSHP (or whatever the letters are for that) if I had a Kate wig.:laughing:

Haven't watched tonight but I tivoed it. Intersting posts and points of views on here tonight.

I remember thinking the tile work over the stove was very ugly to me so I would have wanted to replace that. Not sure if Kate did but I remember seeing that in the Emeril show and thinking," ick."
