Jon and Kate Plus 8, Official Thread-Part 4

Oh my goodness. I stopped reading last night around 9 pm and I have not been able to read today and now we are on #4 and already on page 16?!?!?! It looks like I will be up late tonight catching up.

I hate to admit it, but this thread is going so fast, I'm just having to skip pages. I'd be here all day trying to read every single thing! I've never seen a thread move so quickly!

I will continue to watch.....it seems to me that the kids interact with the cameras very well they don't seem to "hate" them being there. It's sad for all those involved and I will continue to watch hoping that they can work this out. As far as those who say it has been scripted....back in the early days when it was all happy it was entertaining wasn't it and that was all that mattered. Kind of like when Oprah found out that A Million Little Pieces was not a true story. Didn't matter to me it was a good read and entertaining!

Nothing to gain? Just something they weren't able to get enough of when they were actually on the show (showing their own children I might add) $$$$$$.
I wonder how their children (Kevin adn Jodi's) felt about having camera's in their bedroom. I wonder, if Kate had said, yes, please pay them (and we don't know that it was ever offered and she said no) what a different story they might be telling now.

I realized yesterday my days of watching are about over. The little ones don't "hate" the cameras because they'll too little to realize what's happening. Mady and Cara get it, and it won't be long until their six siblings are more aware of what's going on, too.
The Oprah thing--I guess point taken. For me, though, that story was about an adult fooling another adult. No one was showing a child on camera relieving themselves.

WORKING out of the home mom. They were doing the show so they could stay home with their kids.

And she was home for years- those kids never had to go into a daycare situation for 8 or 10 hours a day. They had help- in their own home I might add. Now they are in school- any other hairs you'd like to split?

there has been more than one person on this thread that said their spouse has female friends and wouldn't be unusual for them to be out at night with said friends.

Jon has maintained that he made poor choices and was at the wrong place at the wrong time. Jon says he didn't cheat. Kate says she didn't cheat. The tabloids say otherwise. Where's the truth in any of it?

If that were true- Kate would have said, "Oh, that's just Deanna- she's a friend of ours and Jon has drinks with her once in a while" She did NOT say that did she? Quack.

Yeah he made poor choices- he ended up getting his picture taken because of them.
No idea if Kate cheated or not.... haven't seen the smoking gun (2 a.m. picture of her leaving a bar with a 23 year old hottie)... yet.

This is the way I see the situation- if the pic were of Kate instead of Jon leaving a bar at that time of the morning with some young guy- I would feel exactly the same way.

I haven't seen anything that says she was a friend of the family's. If that were out there I would think it would be all over. If my husband were falsely accused of commiting adultery- I would clear his name if I could!

Yes they would- we would hear how they are together and yada yada yada- We'd hear what a nice girl and SUPER friend Deanna is.... how the kids just love her (Did you see the picture of her in her bathing suit at our house? She had been playing in the sprinkler with the kids for an hour!)

"The show's ratings have grown consistently, as there has been interest in these real-life issues of this real-life family," TLC said in a statement to E! News on Wednesday. "We will continue to air as the interest continues, and the family wants to do it."
